- I suggest that you first prep and fill your concrete and let dry. Next you should lay out some tile pieces on an area near your starting point fitting the pieces together like a jigsaw puzzle. Next spread some tile mastic over an area equal to the size of the area where you have laid out tile pieces that fit together. Next, quickly set the tiles in the mastic in the same pattern that you had them laid off to the side leaving at least about 1/8th gaps between the tile pieces. When you are finished, scrape off any mastic that does not have tile set in it. Repeat this process until you completely cover your floor. Allow to dry for a day and then fill the cracks with grout. Allow the grout to dry for a day and then do an acid wash to remove the grout residue.

- You can usually check out home improvement videos for free from local stores. Also, if there is existing tile you want to remove it first. You can buy a tile removal scraper from Home Depot or Lowe's for about $25. Then you use it to pick up and scrape the existing tile. It is not hard laying tile but you do need to work your way towards the door so you don't tile yourself in. The adhesive may get a bit messy so get some adhesive remover to use after it dries. - Q: We have small ceramic tiles on our bathroom floor. They are varied in shape and size (see photo).I think that these tiles originally came with some sort of netting on the back when they laid the floor and they added grout? I believe I saw some extra tiling somewhere in our home and this is what I had found.Anyway, the grout is breaking up between some of the tiles and some of the tiles keep popping out. I have two questions, If I regrout them do I put it on the bottom of the tile too and does that make the tile adhere to the floor?How would I get the grout to match what‘s already there, it‘s a medium brown gray. Not sure if it started out that way or became like that over the years. Would it look funny if the grout didn‘t match? How could I get it to match?

- No so fast my friend...... have you ever wonder how heavy a piece of 1`granite is? If it is big bench, you probaly need two persons to lift it on. If it is granite tiles, weight a piece totally up first try to put on some thing of similar weight on top the bench see what happens. Before you do anything, check your existing counter top's support. If it is using normal laminated chipboards by gluing of screwing together, I suggest that you check with the local hardware/DIY shop first. ie You may need additional supports. The last thing you need is the whole bench or table collapsing on your foot!?.......tata.
