Q:Canadian tile quality is good: I would like to say if the Canadian tiles are brand tiles, it must be low brand! My home decoration foreman look at the tile that is the goods, that is not exaggerated! Just looking for two tiles simply on the missing! Q:I want to lay ceramic tile in the entry way of my townhome. It‘s about 80 sq ft. The house originally came with a generic white vinyl flooring that I swear is officially a part of the concrete slab it lays on. Because it is so firmly attached (no bubbles, no visible defects of any kind) would it be possible to lay the ceramic tiles over the vinyl? I honestly think it‘s going to take more time to rip up that flooring (and the glue that keeps it down) than it will laying the tile. Thoughts? Thanks!: You will need to lay a cement backer over the linoleum after making sure the floor is level. Since you can't get the linoleum off then proceed with screwing down your backer board to the cement using a hammer drill. If there was to remove the linoleum I would, especially since it is on a cement floor and you should have some kind of vapor barrier.

Q:It has been installed on a concrete slab for about five months now, could the slab not have cured right or is the tile layed wrong?: the tile layed wrong or the slap is moving take one of the cracked tiles up and clean under to see if there is a crack in the slab if there is you need a membrane to put over the crack and then the new tiles good luck

Q:I rent but we have cracked a couple of white kitchen counter tiles. Is there a quikfix alternative to replacing them? We realize the solution would be cosmetic.: I can tell you of a little trick that I have done, and no one is the wiser!(No one can tell) I cracked two of mine next to the sink. I had to stop and think about this one awhile.It was in the kitchen and that's where everyone in the world congregates,and is very visible. It was a big crack, with a gap in the middle on one of the tiles,and just a plain crack on the other tile. I came up with using some of my white modelling clay to fill in the gap, and when dried, I covered it with White-Out. (I didn't have any porcelain repair.) The white out holds up to the water, believe it or not! Matter of fact, I've used it to fill in little chips that the sink had in it. And it's still there! Even after scrubbing the sink with comet! I'm both shocked and happy I came up with the idea of using it! Now that's just a quick fix. Under normal circumstances,I would have either looked for new tile,or have gone and bought some porcelain repair at the hardware store. Byee

Q:We have a hardwood floor in our bathroom, and because it gets too damp, we want to install vinyl tiles on top of the hardwood floor. But I cannot imagine vinyl sticking to wood - can it be done successfully? Any glue tips??: instead of putting vinyl stick on tiles over your hardwood why not try putting a coat or 2 of marine varnish.it will protect it through anything .because stick on tiles are placed side by side there's always a slight gap that water can penetrate causing the wood below to mildew,mold and eventually rot below as well as the vinyl tiles to lift then you'll have a much larger problem .

Not tub and tile. There is to different ones. They both are very good. If you can find the Kaboom grout cleaner It will do all of it. Q:I recently got some ceramic tile for free that the construction company was just going to throw away. How do I tell if they are wall or floor tile? I think it has something to do with the way the back of the tile looks, but I'm not sure.: Wall tile is on the wall and floor tile is on the floor. Seriously, there's no real difference. Although, floor tiles are generally bigger (12+ inches square), while wall and counter tiles are more like 4-6 inches square.
