Q: I had my scaffolding piercing 2 days ago, but I was just wondering how long it will take for the swelling to go down? I know because it's a double cartilage piercing, it is likely to take longer to heal and such, but I was just wondering if there was an average time before it goes back to normal?: Mine took about a week, but only the first 4/5 days were really bad. Thanks in advance :): an industrial piercing is much different than a helix. a helix is normally pieced from the from to the back of the ear while a helix is pierced from the outside to the inside of the ear. without a picture or seeing it it's hard to say so go to your local professional. piercings don't tickle. the pain shouldn't be a concern.
