Q: I have been pierced for around 3 months beginning to have a few problems with it which are starting to worry me. Firstly bumps have appeared on each hole which my piercer said were scars that should heal within 4 weeks is this true? my bottom hole has got some loose skin beside it which bleeds most times that I clean it,why is that there,is it normal? Over all,the piercing does not look very nice to look at with all this going on. Help?: Same probelms! q: The bumps are hypo-something scarring. Cant exactly remember the name. The bleeding and extra skin is normal but not healthy. Chica, sounds like you have infection, but not bad. Do three salt water soaks a day, and clean in with antibacterail soap in the shower, and everything should be back to normal within the week! q: salt water soaks: mix a cup of hot water and 1/4 teaspoon of pure sea salt take cotton swabs and drench the solution on your ear for ten min. five per hole.

Q: Ive had it for over a year now and everything was fine. Ive recently had trouble sleeping on it and its got a bit of puss / liquid coming out (not much) it hurts to touch at the moment but is not red or swollen. Ive changed it to 2 seperate labrets for now to see how that works.It doesnt look like its moved but I am still worries!Thanks all!: If its not moving its not rejecting, but puss coming out isnt a good sign. Are you sure its not infected? If the puss smells and its itchy you could be on your way to an infection, the redness and swelling could come soon. Start cleaning it daily again (assuming youve stopped) and hope for the best! Good luck:)

Q: How much does a tragus hurt in comparison to a scaffold? I got my scaffold in june/july and it hurt a lot, hurt even more in the healing process, now I'm pretty sure I have a keloid on it, but it doesn't really hurt anymore and is still healing. But I would like my tragus pierced on my other ear so just wondered how much it would hurt in comparison to a scaffold, piercing and healing process? Its thicker so I'm expecting it would hurt more...: I have my tragus done.. Personally it wasn't sore at all it did swell a bit but I just kept it clean and it was perfect I still have it and I love it I've had it about 2-3 years now

Q: i got my scaffolding pierced yesterday and my mum told me to clean it 2-3 times a day but im not sure if this will be healthy for my piercing?can anyone tell me how often is healthy please?many thanks ^^: i havent got that piercing yet, but i do have a friend who has it. your mom is right clean it atleast 2-3 times a day. once in the moring - once when you come back from school [ if you dont go to school ] at 4:00 - 5:00 - and once when your about to go to bed. if you dont feel like cleaning it 3 times just make sure you do it atleast twice, or instead of doing the full cleaning - with the soap and stuff just clean it fully twice and remove the crusties in the afternoon - youll get alot of those ;P and that would be itt . . . Q: About 5 days ago I got a scaffolding piercing done in my left ear, today I found a small bump behind the ear and I was wondering if I should get it checked out or if it's normal.The bump is directly behind my ear but on my head, and it's hard and feels kind of bone-like. It's not huge but not tiny, about the size of a marble. Also it doesn't hurt at all, I didn't even notice it was there until I felt behind my ear. I'm pretty sure it wasn't there yesterday so it must have only popped up today.Thanks. (:: it will be a harmless lymph node that has enlarged because of the piercing

Q: I had it done yesterday and it's still burning like hell. I also had both tragus' and a helix at the same time, sleeping is the worst thing ever... When will the constant pain stop? How long will it take for it to become unnoticable like all my other piercings?Any ideas/tips to ease the pain? I do rock salt soaks twice a day for 10 mins each which helps a little...: My industrial piercing stopped hurting after about four days, and then a couple of weeks later it was able to tolerate accidentally being knocked around. It's still a bit tender when I clean it with salt water and a Q tip, but when I had it done there was this build up of dried blood that sort of increased the pain. Cleaning that off helped greatly.

Q: Thinking of getting one:): Mine didn't hurt too bad. Not nearly as much as I thought it would. The first hole didn't hurt very much, but after my adrenaline was used up, I felt more with the second hole. It was a lot of pressure and then the shove through for both. It's well worth it though for a couple of minutes of pain. The worst part was learning not to sleep on it and trying to keep the keloids away! :)
