- Q: Ok so 3 days ago (4 tomorrow), i got a scaffold piercing, AKA an industrial, and it was fine up until today when i noticed a small build up of clumpy, very dark, blood around the second hole of it. I cleaned it off and it stayed ok for a few hours and now i think it's coming back! it itches a bit, but when i asked my older brother (who has several piercings) he said it was starting to heal and that it's common. also, the woman who pierced my ear (who also has several facial piercings and 2 scaffolds) said it would definetly bleed during the 6-8 weeks it takes to heal.i was just wondering why the blood is so dark and thick, and why it itches when the blood is there.this is the first piercing i've had since my earlobes as a child, so i don't really know much about them :/ help please!!!!!
- I had the same thing happen, my ear was pretty much in shock the first three days, then the 4th day it was like F-YOU! It was not fun. the build up isn't bad, it means that the blood is flowing that the piercing is trying to heal itself, get a q-tip good and soaked in rubbing alcohol or spray some H2Ocean on it. (They should have sold you some at the parlor you went to, if not, go back and buy it, it is a god send. It cools and disinfects the area.) thoroughly soak down the little crusties and let them come off on their own. DO NOT USE YOUR FINGERS and DON NOT TWIST THE BARBELL. this will promote skin growth and you can get a Keloid, which is a small ball of scar tissue. if your fingers go any where near your piercing you should rinse them in rubbing alcohol first. the itching is probably just a reaction to the crusties being there. Soak the crusties off and try not to touch it or sleep on that side of your body and it should be OK.
- Q: I have a cartilage piercing on my right ear and now I want scaffolding. Can they just pierce the other side of my ear (opposite my other cartilage piercing) and put a scaffold bar through my existing cartilage piercing hole and the new piercing hole opposite? Can I then get another cartilage piercing straight underneath the scaffolding? How much does it hurt? Thanks in advance :)
- i've got heard it feels extra like a pinch. The septum piercing does not extremely bypass during the cartilage or something, in case you pull the midsection of your nostril down, there is slightly of epidermis there. that's the place the piercing is going via. My suggestion is to pinch it (in case you have nails) consisting of your nails, and you have the hassle-free thought of the 'oh, owch.' feeling? :]

- Q: i had an industrial piercing 2 days ago and was just wondering roughly how long untill i can change the bar? ive seen a few i like and want to change the boring one asap,..also, do u think my ears look crowded??? i dont have any pictures but on my left ear i have earlobe, tragus and rook, and my right ear i have ear lobe, anti-tragus and industrial..just wondering what u think.. thankss x
- Well it doesn't really matter what anyone else thinks as long as you like them, you are the one that has to live with them. and i would recommend leaving for about 4-6 weeks depending on how well and quick you heel as everybody heels different. ring the place were you had it done and they will be able to advise you more on it. - Q: I want to talk my mum into it.She might let me because it fits my school's regulations (two piercings/earrings per ear) but she might not because the holes are permanentI was wondering if the holes you get are a certain size, they might close up if you don't wear the earring for a while?And also, I'd like to know some health risks associated to getting one.Thanks.
- The okorder for more info on industrials. There are plenty of personal experience stories and information on them. Keep in mind that industrials take 6 months to a year to heal and you will need to take special care durring that time. If its worth the work to you, enjoy your piercing =)
