- It all depends on where you go. They can range between 25-35 dollars. Just remember to relax and eat a good meal before you go. Healing takes around 6 months to a year. Your piercer will instruct you on how to care for it. Always ask your piercer any and all questions you have.
- Q: Hey, ive just had the scaffolding piercing ( think thats how you spell it :P ) and i just wanted to know, is there any special way to look after it? any special way to clean it? or is it just like any other piercing?How often should i clean it? and is it wise to wear gloves when cleaning it? to keep any bacteria off it? - Q: So today I decided to get both my tragus' done, a top cartlidge piercing and a scaffolding piercing in one sitting and now I'm in agony and the only aftercare I was given is a tiny bag of rock salt.... SALT!?Any ideas on how to get the swelling down / pain to go away and any tips on how to reduce the chance of getting them infected?
- I'm surprised that a piercer did all of this...5 cartilage piercings and not even on the same ear? No rock salt. It needs to be non-iodized sea salt. Soak them twice a day for 5-10 minutes each soak with 1/4th of a teaspoon of non-iodized sea salt to 8oz of hot water. I usually double the mixture and put it into a clean bowl and just tilt my head to the side into the bowl to soak it. Ibuprofen for the swelling and soreness, ice for short periods of time throughout the day if you want. Don't change them until they're healed, don't touch them at all, try to sleep on your back or stomach, no swimming underwater or emerging them underwater until they are healed. Do all that and the soaks and you shouldn't deal with infection.
- Q: I plan on getting this piercing soon and i was wondering what are the chances that it could ruin the shape of my ear cartilage? Can it at all?
- If you go to an experienced piercer, then you should not have any problems. When you go to research a piercer, you should ask for pictures of piercings like the one you are looking for that have been completely healed. The one thing that you need to remember, however, is that cartilage piercings take longer to heal then most other piercings, and they can be pretty uncomfortable for a while. I really like ear piercings, and I wish you the best of luck.

- NO 1 you dont have a hollow needle, with out one its not gonna make a hole by taking out the piece ear you wont pierced its just gonna push it over that thats gonna have it way easyer for infection 2 thats around alot of nerve you kinda have to know what your doing 3 even if you do know what your doing once you get it through the 1st hole your gonna want to stop cuz of the pain and you wont be albe to position yourself you way a professional would in order to be able to get it done fast 4 its really easy to get an infection with any piercing epically if its not done properly by a professional trust me i have seen some really nasty stuff wake into the shop asking for help and most of them all did it them selfs

- These are pictures of bakers scaffolding..not recommended to staCK OVER TWO HIGH..i WONT DO THAT..FOR THEY ARE NARROW AND POTENTIAL FALLING FROM LEANING ANY DIRECTION INCREASES IMMENSELY WITH HEIGHT..USUALLY FOR INSIDE USE ONLY..NOT OUTSIDE APPLICATIONS..oops sorry for the capitols didnt realize it..
