Q: I am not sure of the reason but when i plugged in the power cable there was a crackling sound only for a second and then it stopped. I remember a similar occurennce when i had a loose electrical circuit would this have done any harm to the computer.
you merely experienced the stunning scent of silicon frying. possibly the processor overheated and burned. consistent with threat a skill surge brought about your powersupply to prepare dinner the motherboard. In any condition, that computing gadget has been cooked. i admire that scent. electric warmth on silicone and distinctive mineral circuits.
Q: is it a power cable? parallel port?
Well the Cable to your Monitor Connects to the Video Card Port, which connects to the motherboard.
Q: Hi,I have a second-hand Antec NeoHE 550 power supply and I'd like to find a cable for it. I can't seem to find it on the Internet though. The cable is pictured here (the second from the left)On one end it has a 6-pin PSU connector and on the other end, it's a *female* 4-pin Molex connector. It is not a PCI-E cable.I'd like to know where I can buy one, I don't even know what to look for on Google. Thanks a lot!
I okorder ... You could also try Corsair customer services
Q: just asking if its atleast 5 feet.
The included cables are the standard 6' in length. There's nothing special about the PS3's power cord, so you can buy a longer one if you need it. The PS3 can also use standard HDMI and optical audio cables, so finding those in various lengths is easy. However if you need a longer PS3 AV cable (for composite, svideo or component video) you'll have to buy one online. They exist, or you can use a simple cable extension.
Q: Were can i buy a replacement power cable ?
best buy. you won't get an original but you could get one with multi plug adapters that might fit your laptop's or you can try to browse the website of your laptops brand
Q: its like a big power box the has two metal prongs, and is about 2quot;X3big and fits into the same size slot, if you push it in it gets power for a second then doesnt if you jiggle it around it gets power for a second and doenst.anyone know please?

Q: And would this increase my reception
It wont hurt anything.. You can always go larger, but the 7 ga will be hard to work with and attach to smaller wires...Unless you are using a very small guage 26 or something, it wont make any difference in your reception... Replacing the antenna, adding an antenna tuner, remounting the antenna to a different location, phasing two cb antennas and tuning to the exact frequency or channel you use most of the time will improve the reception and transmission.. You need a SWR meter to do this...
Q: I have a power adapter that changes the tip of a power cable from the US standard to the Spain standard. My laptop has 3 prongs and the adapter accepts 2. It fits into it, but the 3rd prong just rests outside. I know the voltage over there is twice as strong, so will this work correctly?
Houjo and another correspondent seem to think that the earth (ground) connection is to protect the equipment. It isn't. It is to protect you. If the laptop was designed to be used with an earthed mains lead (the handbook should tell you) it will still work with a two-core one but in the, albeit unlikely, event of certain type of fault in the laptop you may be exposed to mains voltage on any conductive part of the laptop.
Q: I'm going to be running 1/0 gauge power wire in my car. My amp only accepts 4 gauge. Is it better to run 1 the whole way through and use power cable adaptors to fit the amp or run the 1 gauge into a distribution block that sizes the output wire down to a 4?
either way is fine unless your total system power will exceed 3000 watts....otherwise it would be cheaper and just as good to just run the 4 all the way from the battery and use the 1/0 gauge for your big three upgrade should you be exceeding 1000 watts
Q: i wasnt thinking and put the power cable in my mouth and then pressed the tip on my tongue and got electrocuted... it still hurts a little.. am i going to die
no your not going to die. you should be ok. lol this is hilarious.
