Q: Tang Jun car headlights do not shine other things are so bright
Hello, the simplest look at the light bulb bad no
Q: I‘m having a problem with my a/c system. the interior lights on the controls no longer come on, and many things don‘t work anymore. the fan comes on blows air, but it‘s no longer heated. and the ducts don‘t move either, for when you want the air from the outside vs inside air circulation. everything was fine yesterday until the thermostat housing was attempted to be taken off.the last bolt wouldn‘t come off. and the housing has shifted a bit from its original place, and wont be budged back. could this have anything to do with it. i checked all fuses and they work fine. any solutions?
If you want heat, it's carried by the engine coolant. If the engine thermostat housing isn't closed tight, the coolant will all leak out and not carry heat anywhere- the heater, the radiator- not anywhere, and it will stay where you don't want too much of it- in the engine. The engine will overheat very quickly without coolant in it and be damaged badly. The interior heating ducts are controlled, often, by engine vacuum carried by little hoses and some may have gotten knocked loose. Some cars do this wth cables and levers instead of vacuum. You need to look in a good auto repair manual like Chiltons and see where everything related to heating and cooling belongs and make sure it's still there. But before you try to start the engine, fix the thermostat housing. Get a friend who knows about these things to help you and don't let it get dark before you finish working. Since the heater lights don't come on anymore, find the wire that got knocked off and plug it back. How do bolts on an engine near a thermostat get stuck? Maybe it's rusted in place, or stuck with block sealer that was used to stop a leak. Leak stop with sodium silicate will do that, and that's about the best kind of sealer, but the problems it can cause are what you have. I hope you never have to take the head off- some of the head bolts might be stuck too and they are extremely hard- I wouldn't want to have to try and drill out one, and you'd need a diamond drill, or at least carbide. If you break the thermostat bolt, you'll have to drill it out and tap new threads in the hole so a new bolt will go in and hold. That simple job got very complicated, didn't it.
Q: Last week when im driving my Check engine light and my ETS light come on at the same time. I went to Auto Zone and i checked the computer and the code that came up was P0420 it said that the catalyst system was preforming below efficiency bank 1. They said this is the O2 sensor and i replaced it and reset the computer and the light went off for 3 days. Then the same 2 lights came back and i didnt know what was going on. So now my car is going through about 1/8 a tank a day now. My buddy who works for a dealership says it might be the spark plugs that need to be replaced and i dont know if this will fix it (other problem is i know how to do this but im without a tourqe wrench so i cant do the job while im here in LA) So if there is any techs out there that work for GM and could lend a hand to let me know whats going on i would be greatfull. I used to work as a porter before for two dealerships so if you guys can help me her in the LA area it would be great. Thanks,SeanYou can IM me
Okay once again I feel I must correct all the misinformation that the so called master mechanic posts. 1. The first shop you took the car to ripped you off by selling you an O2 sensor. The P0420 code sets when the system detects that the catalytic converter it not storing and releasing oxygen correctly. If the O2 sensor is bad, it will set an O2 sensor code. 2. If the new O2 sensor became unplugged, it would set a host of other O2 sensor codes such as insufficient activity, and heater circuit fault. The code you have is setting because something has poisoned the catalytic converter causing it to not work any more. Any competent shop can test the converter with a bar 5 gas analyzer. I cannot believe how many people out their claim to be Masters that don't have a clue how a car works.
Q: I want the angel eyes of the car but the headlights are not open! There is no way to get their own! ~
It is not open, most manufacturers design fully enclosed, a small part of the luxury car lights have a large electric lights open automatically open, but the general car get away, the only way to break open ..........
Q: I have a 92 toyota Camry I would like to knw y the check engine light truns on and off any1 knw Y?
The computer is getting an intermittant signal from one of the sensors. Most auto parts stores will tell which one(s). It will be stored in the memory if the light isn't on. But your car is a pre OBDll system and you will have to go to a shop that has a code reader for the car. Maybe a dealer unless you know as shop specializing in Toyotas.
Q: I‘m not to sure about what kind or which i brand i want to add on. but this is just the basic of what i want to do to my truck.I want to add on a:auto startertint my windowspaint jobalarmlifenew off roading tiresnew rimrim locksand new sound systemnew head lightstailgate lightsram guardexhaust. Is there any thing else i could do to my truck? it‘s is a 2009 F 150 lariat by the way if that matters at all. with 4 four door and a short bed
Some things can vary a lot. For example, with the sound system, you could buy a $1,000 system or a $10,000 system. I would estimate for the: auto starter tint my windows alarm rim locks head lights tail lights ram guard exhaust That stuff might cost around $3-4,000. Things like the paint job really depend on what you want - you can get a $20,000 paint job if you want or spend a few hundred for some stripes.
Q: Hey gear-heads, I have a regular ‘00 Civic VP and the check engine light turned on a week ago. I just did an oil change and I reset the light by unplugging the battery for a couple minutes but the light came on after a couple hours of driving. Lately it seems I have been losing gas mileage. I don‘t know if it is the cold weather (Wisconsin) or something is wrong with the car like the O2 sensor or what not. The gas cap is on tight, so that‘s not the problem. What is your guys‘ take on the problem. Thanks in advance.
These Honda Si ECUs are not that complicated. Usually the check engine light is associated with the emission problems like cylinder not firing, bad spark plugs, clogged fuel injectors, O2 sensor malfunction, or problem with Catalytic converter. I would change the spark plugs first, and go from there. Also driving with Check engine light would damage the Catalytic converter. so would minimize the driving.
Q: The light illuminates when there is a malfunction of an exhaust gas related component, and the system is not functioning properly so that the exhaust gas regulation values are not satisfied What does this mean? I have hardly even been driving it at all the last two months. It says to go to the dealer but that is pretty far away and my warranty expired anyway and I cannot afford anything expensive right now. Does anyone know what this might mean and if I should even worry about it or is it something real simple? thanks!
Form-a-gasket does poorly, but aluminum foil is cheep, and works fine. Use contact adhesive to stick to the cabinet.
Q: My check engine light is on and i got it check at Auto Zone. It came up as an emission vapor problem. I replaced the gas cap.( reset the computer) It came back on. The motor is running fine and there have been no other problems. I search all the hoses for cracks and leaks and cannot find one. Any idea what I should do next before I take it to a garage?
Very likely a stuck evap vent valve, but only a diagnosis can verify that, unless you want to gamble on my educated guess alone. That is the most common evap system failure and the part is relatively inexpensive and simple to replace (it's at or near the evap canister).
Q: Hi!BASICALLY, the sb-400 doesn‘t swivel sideways, and the sb-600 is nearly as much as I got my camera for lol, so I‘m looking at alternatives, namely the sb-24.I‘ve done my research (as all good boys do before posting a question on Y! Answers) and I understand that I will miss the iTTL-ness of the SB-x00‘s and what this means. The SB-24 is an auto flash, so as I understand it, there‘s a light meter on the front of the flash that calculates exposure (independently of what the sensor sees through the lens) and adjusts the flash accordingly. Does this mean that losing the iTTL is not a major issue if I keep the flash on-camera so that the flash is measuring the same scene as the camera body? Also, can I use flash compensation with this flash?I guess in short, I‘m trying to get an idea of how much of a hassle losing iTTL really is.
Through the ducts on the side in front of the rear wheels.
