- Q: Had a Bissell which was about $50, well it didn't last , and saw reviews on Eurekas, which were pretty good. Which do you use and where did you purchase your's for a good price? Not looking for expensive models, just something under $60.
- Go to the thrift stores and garage sales. Then inspect them well before you buy. That is the only way to get a good one for that price. Dyson is about the best for under $500.

- I have been servicing and repairing vacuum cleaners for about 10 years now so I see a lot of filters. In my opinion even the filters that can be washed really shouldn't be unless they are a foam type material. Basically the washing doesn't really get the dirt out, what you have to consider is that the pores of the filter are super small to be able to trap particles as small as pollen and smoke and water doesn't flow well through holes this small. Also as the vacuum is running it is actually trying to pull air through the filter so the dust gets pulled in really hard and effectively gets stuck. Your vacuum will last longer by replacing the filter as it will cool the motor more effectively so while there is a cost in buying a new filter it extends the life of your vacuum hence saving you money in the long term. - Q: Do I need to Vacuum up pet hair, etc before I use one of these Bissell Upright Steam Cleaners. I was going to purchase a new Bagless Bissell Pet Hair removal vacuum and the aile over I saw the Bissell Pro Heat cleaners for like 100 bucks more. Can I just get rid of my vacuum and use this steam cleaner instead or do you still need to vacuum before you clean. Or can I use steam cleaners without the water now and then just like a vacuum?
- It really is tough to compare the two, I agree that Wade is a better leader and motivator than Lebron and actually had higher PPG than Lebron. Wade obviously has a weaker team surrounding him so it is very impressive how far they've come from last season. As far as the MVP is concerned you can't take the literal meaning of most valuable player. The NBA tends to give the award to the most valuable player on one of the top few teams in the league, and the Cavs had an incredible record this season, so by the NBA's standards Lebron deserves the award over Wade. I do think that Wade is more valuable to the Heat than Lebron is to the Cavs, because without Lebron the Cavs would still be a playoff team, but without Wade the Heat would be in last place like last year. That said ...both are amazing players and both are deserving of the award.

- Yes, any one selling vacuum cleaners door to door will take any old vacuum in trade. Remember though that these people work on high mark up and in turn high commission. Hold out on making a quick sale to get your best deal. Many people are ripped off by door to door sales people who are desperate to make a sale. A fair commission is ok, as every one is entitled to make a living.

- My husband and I own a housecleaning company and sometimes our customers request we use their personal vacuums as opposed to the one we supply when we clean. We have used Dyson's on several occasions, and personally, they are completely overrated. The suction seems to be good, however, so are most vacuums nowadays. It is also complicated to unhook the hose/nozzle and the nozzle is so long, it is impossible to angle it into small areas. It is heavy as well. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone (and for the record, don't buy into an Oreck either - they are even worse and are just as expensive). For our company, we use the Eureka Smart Boss. It was rated a best buy by Consumer Reports and has the Good Housekeeping Seal (something Dyson doesn't have). It's suction is great, the hose is easy to manuver, and it has a sealed Hepa Filter. The only con about it is the weight but then again, most vacuums do weigh around 20 pounds. There is also a new vacuum Eureka came out with recently called the Eureka Capture. It looks like it will be a good vacuum as well and it looks stylish coming in three different colors.
