- Don't waste your money - you will be extremely unhappy with the results. Cleaning one of those robots does not just involve dumping the trash - you need to clean the brushes and rollers as well. The bad part about irobot is that pet hair will wrap tightly around the guides on the sides of the rollers. You can't just pick that off - it takes a tool to pry the stuff loose.

- I have the Eureka Boss SmartVac and I love it! It does a great job. I have kids, pets, and a husband who works construction, and it gets up all their dirt/dust/hair/etc... The suction is great and it has a switch to turn the beater bar off so you can use it on any hard floor surface. It's not bagless, but I had a bagless before, and I would never have another one again. It's very reasonably priced and I can't see how a Dyson could outclean it. Hope this helps. Good luck!

- In Point: The Infinity is no where as efficient as a Dyson (DC17), and will not deep clean as well as the new Dyson. The Dyson (DC17), coupled with its new filtration system and aggressive brushroll specifically designed for American carpets will deep clean better than most vacuums under $1000, as well as the previous Dysons on the market (My older DC14 left alot of filth in my carpet that my DC17 vacuumed up....mostly sand and dust).

- no, you need matter to make a vacuum and space has no gas or pressure for this to happen. nothing would be moving. you need gas to produce the suction which produce the vacuum

- I have had the same issues time and time again, either too heavy, won't fit under furniture, hoses tear, too may filters and like you tired of replacing them. I purchased a Dyson about a year ago and it has not lost suction yet. I use it everyday it only needs one filter and I wash it out as directed which is perfect for me. The extension pole on it is great too for getting dusty spots and spiderwebs. I comes with a lot of different attachments so i can manage multiple surfaces. I will never buy another vacuum brand.

- Q:It's 2014 and it doesn't really seem like vacuums have come that far. What's worse, they like everything else on the market are made for the dump. So whatever deal I happen to find on a seemingly decent vacuum is really going towards the next seemingly decent vacuum..... the vacuum I own is a perfect example! it ran me about 50 bucks but it's crap, and overall the cleanliness of my carpet, and air are the real cost of my savings...The only vacuum that I can say really proved itself in front of me was a Kirby, but there's no way in hell I could justify quot;to myselfdropping 1500 or more (depending how good the salesman was) on a vacuum cleaner....even ifit'll suck dirt through 12 inches of cotton...So to my question, what vacuum cleaner brand, model, etc. has the best suction and filtration but also won't break the bank??? Somewhere around $100-$200 maybe even $300 if need beAny info is appreciated, thanks in advance
- Dyson, eureka, shark, dirt devil, Bissell, got 20 of each laying in the office. Spend real money on a Kirby that will last 20 plus years cleaning up to 14 inches deep. Call for a demonstration at your local Kirby store. They'll Show You the Difference between Kirby and any other.
