- Q: I’ve bought John out of vacuum cleaners.
- I purchased John's entire stock of vacuum cleaners. John's entire stock of vacuum cleaners, was bought by me.
- Q: Are hoovers too strong, what has workked for you?-thanks
- I pop the keys off a couple at a time and then shake it out
- Q: It could be anything, like staples, but you hear them hitting the insides of the vacuum. It's like a static sound.I think it sounds cool. XD
- The sound is funny when I my dog poops on the floor, I do like the smell the Vacuum makes, just like a burnt out match
- Q: Example: If I had a vacuum cleaner and I turned it on and got another vacuum cleaner and turned it on; both vacuum cleaners are the same. Will the noise stay the same or be louder?I can see it being louder, but I think it will stay the same because it is the same noise which wouldn't really contribute to the loudness of the noise.
- It depends. A vacuum cleaner is probably a bad example. A vacuum generates more of a white noise than a tone or particular 'sound' that could be easily tested or studied. Practically speaking and actually taking measurements, you'll probably find it louder, but not twice as loud. Pressure waves (sound) can be additive, or they can cancel each other out depending on their phase. If two identical pressure waves are exactly in phase, the result is a doubling of their amplitude. If they are exactly out of phase, they cancel each other out and you won't hear anything.
- Q: Do any ladies have an old vacuum cleaner that they would love to part with? I'm looking for some older style soft-bag uprights if possible. What style/color do you have? Thanks!!
- I don't but you can go to a thrift store and get then all day cheap.
- Q: I was thinking of getting one of those as seen on TV, I am an allergy sufferer and need the most efficient to get rid of the dust mites, bacteria etc..
- They work great....just a little messy to clean.
- Q: I know that most cats are afraid of the vacuum cleaner, but when we vacuum our adult cat will hide for hours on end. We have dark carpet so we vacuum almost every other day. It took him 4 hours to come out from behind our table, and when I coaxed him to me, he just sat frozen next to me and stared at the vacuum that was across the room. He was literally shivering at the sight of it. When I went to put it away, he went back under the table. I cannot get him to come back out. I've tried leaving him in another room while I vacuum, but he knows how to open doors and hates being shut up in our room or the bathroom. Last time I tried, he opened the bathroom door and then bolted under the table. I'm not sure what to do at this point. I have to vacuum frequently, but I feel guilty when I do because he is so afraid. We have had him for about 2 weeks and are still trying to figure him out. Is this normal cat behavior, or are most cats simply bothered by vacuums?
- Cats hear at a higher scale then humans do so he probably hears stuff that you can't (like, nerve wrecking stuff). My cats have adjusted to having things vaccumed since they've been living with it for 12 years now--they just get up on something high (where we don't vacuum) or at least off the floor like a chair or bed and sit up there quite relaxed. We never tease them with the vaccum, we just get the floors done as quickly as possible. You've only had your guy for 2 weeks so this is probably something quite new (and noisy) for him. He'll get used to it but don't tease him with the vacuum ever, and just reassure him quietly as you vacuum. Even our skiddish male has grown so blase about the vacuum.
- Q: We need a really quiet vacuum cleaner that can be operated while meetings are going on. Any suggestions
- The quietest one I know is a Ghibli. I have one. If you're standing beside it, you can talk to someone in a normal voice. Mine doesn't have a beater bar which is the noisiest part of a vacuum cleaner but has lots of suction and does a very good job on carpets without it. Go to a vacuum specialty store and see what they have. I understand that Miele is very quiet too. When you're checking out vacuum cleaners, note that most of them give a decibel rating in the specs
- Q: i am wanting a cleaner that does it all. i remember a rainbow that i used of someone that was a vac that extracted water while vacuuming that i would like to have. however, i don't know what kind that it was?? does all rainbow vacs do that?? i was thinking about purchasing the h2o vac, then read alot of bad things about them. do you have one, what is your experience? it does'nt have to be a rainbow, but i want something that i can vac and run water at the same time. would like for it to cost less than a rainbow. does the green machine do that?also, if you have a hoover z-fold, how good/bad is it?
- I myself would prefer my rainbow over any other carpet machine. I cleaned houses for a living for 4 years and it still runs great. I may of cost a pretty penny but it was worth every cent. I also got the step attachment and the carpet cleaner with mine for doing 4 demo.'s. they were free. you can set up a contract with finance america and pay only $50.00 a month or so. maybe $75.00 and pay for it that way. it really is worth it to me. and it doesnt use suck up water it runs water like a dirt bag, it makes the dirt go to the bottom of the bowl. dirt is heavier then water, and the part inside acts like a churn, it forces the dirt to the bottom. you can also use smelly oils in the water to make your home smell good as you vacuume. I will never buy any other type of model of vacuumes after having this rainbow.
- Q: My bagless vacuum is about 1 year old. We change our HEPA filter and the round filter under the dirt trap, clean the washable sponge as instructed. Recently, all of a sudden the machine smells really bad like a dead body is inside the machine. Anyone with a solution?
- If you pick up a stink-bug (swarming this time of year in the mid-atlantic and NE), dead mouse (reaching under radiators or beds, for instance) or other critter, that would cause a stink pretty quickly. And permeate your filters even if you clean the cup. Re-clean everything, and clean the hose and cup as well. Baking soda and some of the smell-killer sprays will help with the hose.
