FAQ
Q: What's the difference with cyclonic to multi-cyclonic filtration system?
Multi-cyclonic is where the dust container has a plastic filter section inside and has many little tunnels in it that separate the finer dust and dirt for the next filter and there is no HEPA filter in the middle plastic filter section.
Cyclonic filtration is where there is a central HEPA filter that sits inside the dust container and catches the finer dust.
Q: My vacuum just stopped while I was using it! What do I do now?
All of our vacuum cleaners have been fitted with a thermal safety cut-off switch which activates to stop the motor from burning out. When it does that it will prevent the unit from turning on again until it has cooled sufficiently to reset, which is between 2 – 4 hrs. The most common reason for safety cut-off switch activated is the filters needs to be cleaned. Please read the instruction manual and follow the instructions on how to clean the filters.
- Q: I have long hair and it gets all over the carpet. The vacuum cleaner is meant to be a good strong one but it can't manage the hair. At best it will put it into clumps. I have to pick it up manually and it's very annoying. Why won't the vacuum cleaner work? Will another one work or am I doomed?
- its not your vacuum cleaners fault. its the fact that your hair sticks to the carpets fibre so well. i have this same problem and my vacuum isnt good enough to do the job. what i do, is a get a broom. it must be very strong and have strong brissles. dont use the pathetic soft broom. the broom i use, is kind of like a scribbing broom used to scrub tiles. so basically just use it like a vacuum cleaner, and it will pick up all that hair from your carpet :)
- Q: I can't find any info on this. They all seem to be scams!!! Yes the HEPA filter would work, but when the seal isn't air tight, things get through... This is important, I got asbestos to clean up and theres no info anywhere on this.

- Q: why are some dogs afraid of vacuum cleaners?
- I always thought my dog was afraid of the vaccuum sweeper but as it turns out he thinks it's a toy. A big noisy toy! He'd bite and bark at it visciously for the first 2 years of his life and I swore daily at the breeder because I knew full well they'd chased the pups with their vaccuum. We got another pup then and for the first year and 1/2 of his life he'd watch happily while the older dog attacked the sweeper. This one was born and raised in a kennel till he was 8 weeks old. He'd be right there wagging his tail and looking at me like he wanted to be in the middle of the fun but was confused as to what the fuss was about. Then one day after all that time he decided to join in and bark and bite the sweeper too.i've never been able to so much as get close to the thing without it setting my older dog off.Now I have both doing it.I tried hard to only vaccuum when the dogs were outside and they'd sit and cry at the door the whole time it was running. Then one day as they were both attacking my sweeper as I tried to use it I'd had it.All I said was Enough and both stopped immediately and left the room. I was really amazed. After that I let them attack the sweeper for a minute after I turn it on and then say enough I shared and they go lay down. They just have to show that thing whose boss before I touch it or they are'nt happy.

- Q: How would you rate the Rainbow vacuum cleaner? Please only responed if you have used it or own one. Thank you.
- Ive had one... I love my dyson. Who wants to clean up gross water... and what happens when you spill it... because it will happen!
- Q: When were wet/dry vacuums invented?
- Daniel Hess of West Union, Iowa invented a vacuum cleaner in 1860, calling it a carpet sweeper instead of a vacuum cleaner. His machine did, in fact, have a rotating brush like a traditional carpet sweeper, and also possessed an elaborate bellows mechanism on top of the body to generate suction of dust and dirt. Hess received a patent (US No. 29.077) for his invention of the vacuum cleaner on July 10, 1860 British engineer, Hubert Cecil Booth patented a motorized vacuum cleaner on August 30, 1901. Booth's machine took the form of a large, horse-drawn, petrol-driven unit, which was parked outside the building to be cleaned with long hoses being fed through the windows. Booth first demonstrated his vacuuming device in a restaurant that same year and successfully sucked dirt. More Americans inventors introduced variations of the same cleaning-by-suction type contraptions. For example, Corinne Dufour invented a device that sucked dust into a wet sponge; and, David Kenney designed a huge machine that was installed in a cellar and connected to a network of pipes leading to each room of a house. Of course, these early versions of vacuum cleaners were bulky, noisy, smelly, and unsuccessful.
- Q: Im just moving into a new house, and I need a vacuum cleaner. I would like something under 300 US$ and that i can find in a store such as sears, wal-mart, etc. It also needs to be a canister vacuum cleaner. Please help me find the best deal.Thank you!
- target and walmart both sell inexpensive vacuum cleaners. the only issue is they are usually feather weight and do not hold very much dirt so they must be emptied frequently. You can also check your local craigslist for used vacuum cleaners :)
- Q: The vacuum cleaner is a Toshiba brand (VC-702EX). I tried checking the local hardware shops but I can't find it anywhere. They are only selling filters for new models of vacuum cleaners. I can't even find the local Toshiba distributor here.
- You okorder , but try asking the hardware store to special order a case for you. They normally have a special order department.
- Q: what are theTop rated five vacuums for cleaning?
- I have bought different vacuum cleaners both cheap and expensive ones but some cheap ones out performed better in some areas than the high tagged ones. You can check out the link below for better reviews.
- Q: I have a 700 square foot apartment with carpeting and a cat...
- Vacuums are like cars everyone will have a favorite. Dyson is most likely the most expensive. as far as the best they all have their good points after years of use where I work we ended up with a sears vacuum (link below) it works very well it is under $80 so we can replace it as necessary we have used commercial vacuums at $800 each and the sears cleans just as well . We get about 18 months use out of these and about 5 years out of the commercial vacs our vacs are in actual use about 7 hours a day (we have a 24 -7 operation) I have one of the sears at my house have had it for 4 years still working just fine. My suggestion to you is to go to sears and compare the different vacs they have all brands. Pick the one that you like the best. they all have a different feel you might not like one because it feels heavy or too light, hard to push, awkward attachments etc. Good luck on your decision
