FAQ
Q: What's the difference with cyclonic to multi-cyclonic filtration system?
Multi-cyclonic is where the dust container has a plastic filter section inside and has many little tunnels in it that separate the finer dust and dirt for the next filter and there is no HEPA filter in the middle plastic filter section.
Cyclonic filtration is where there is a central HEPA filter that sits inside the dust container and catches the finer dust.
Q: My vacuum just stopped while I was using it! What do I do now?
All of our vacuum cleaners have been fitted with a thermal safety cut-off switch which activates to stop the motor from burning out. When it does that it will prevent the unit from turning on again until it has cooled sufficiently to reset, which is between 2 – 4 hrs. The most common reason for safety cut-off switch activated is the filters needs to be cleaned. Please read the instruction manual and follow the instructions on how to clean the filters.
- Q:How can I fix a vacuum that will not turn off. I vacuumed up a piece of clothing and pulled it out of the bottom, ever since the only way to turn the vacuum off is via the plug. Any suggestions?
- Vacuum cleaners are pretty simple and replacement parts cheap and easy to get. If you or someone you know is pretty handy, start disassembling the machine and the problem will probably be apparent.
- Q:What are the OSHA regulations on repairing electrical cords on appliances like Vacuum cleaners?
- As long as the plug is properly duty rated, and properly installed, there should be no problem with OSHA.
- Q:Why are vacuum cleaners quiet in the TV adverts?
- Because I think it's illegal to put a vacuum that loud on TV, it hurts our ears too much.
- Q:Does dog hair ruin vacuum cleaners? And if so, what do you recommend for pet hair control?
- It doesn't ruin your vacuum, except for maybe over use. Make sure, after every time you use it that hair balls aren't stuck in the wand or in the brushes. If your vacuum is the bagless variety, clean out the canister after each use.. The Dyson brand vacuum is supposed to be one of the best but really expensive. You basically have to vacuum everyday. I've seen these like magnetic brooms demonstrated at dog shows that seem to really pick up the hair- sorry I don't know what they are officially called or where you get them. I hope someone has a better answer because with 3 dogs and a cat there's a lot of hair in my house...
- Q:how to make a vacuum cleaners?
- You'd be better off buying one, if you just want one for your own use. The money it would cost to assemble the things necessary would be more than the price of a new vacuum cleaner. If you want to go into manufacturing them, the smartest thing is to first work for a vacuum cleaner company, or a vacuum cleaner manufacturing company. That way you will find out what is needed and how much it costs and how it is marketed, and other things you will need to know. Then you can start your own company with knowledge.
- Q:I have a 1,200 square foot house and a dog that sheds a lot. I used the Swivel Sweeper 360 G2, and it sucks! I used it on rugs and my hardwood floors. I have hardwood floors throughout my house and some rugs in some of the rooms. I know attachments would help for the small areas like under the desks and TV stand. I need to find a good vacuum to buy and use for my house. I have no ides what is the best for my needs, there are so many to choose from. Please any advice would be very helpful!!!
- Like the first Answerer said, you definitely want a vacuum with the 'brush off' option for your non-carpeted floors. Not only does it prevent scratching of the floors, but it also prevents 'throwing' that happens with vacuums that do not have this option--this is especially helpful for those who have cats as the litter gets thrown from the beater brush. Them Dysons are crap. I've vacuumed shampooed the carpet of my clients who had pets. The ones that had Dysons were the worst! I found out how terrible the Dysons were when I'd shampoo the carpet after vacuuming. There was SOO MUCH pet hair left in the carpet after vacuuming that it would constantly clog my shampooer. I kept having to take apart the shampooer clean out the pet hair that clogged the suction holes. I have a Bissell Lift-Off that I bought second-hand for only $45. Actually, I have 2 now as I use one for my clients the other for the home. Of all the vacuums I use ( I use a lot of different kinds b/c I am a house cleaner), I like this one the best overall.
- Q:I bought one and it is still sitting in my trunk. I hate deciding on vacuum cleaners. Any advice?
- its light weight and is esasy to move around. the bad thing is that it fills up right away....like me
- Q:I read some where that vacuum cleaners with a rotating brush can scratch hardwood floor. Is this true?
- the rotating brush wont scratch the floor, as in gouges, but the finish that protects the wood will eventually dull because of the slight abrasion of the brush.
- Q:How much are they and what store sells them the cheapest
- www.okorder $129.95 for vacuum cleaner with HEPA filter
- Q:I am planning to buy a vaccum cleaner to my home. What do you guys think having a portable one rather than the normal heavy kind?Any idea about the price of an average one?
- Dyson if you can afford one or Electrolux
