- Q:We have a Dyson that doesn't have a bag but 3 filters and we are starting to get many carpet beetles. We already had catiplillers and silversharks but these carpet beetle larva come in numbers! If I vacuum the rooms will I just be housing these bugs inside the vacuum and spreading them more to the other rooms?
- Dyson vacuum cleaners need to be emptied every time you use them to maintain their function performance. Vacuum up and empty in the out side trash straight away. Treat your home with insect deterrent.
- Q:My year old Bissell vacuum is starting to not work so well. It has way less suction than it used to and it makes weird sounds. Our upstairs is all hardwood linoleum so all I'm using it for my crazy 6' X 9' rug in the living room. Maybe all that cat hair is extra hard on vacuums? I don't know why I can't find one that will last. The one I had before this was a Eureka and it still had suction, but the rotating brush in the front broke out after 3 years of use. And it was used in an all carpeted house. What I love about my vacuum most is the compartment in the front that lets me easily dump out the dust instead of having to change a bag. But how to I search through the various upright vacuum cleaners to find one that isn't going to die after a year? Some of them say they are designed for many years, but how do I know what is real in those advertisements? Can any of you tell me what you use and how long it has worked for you? Thanks.
- I have been married 20yrs and we are a military family and so we move a lot and been overseas twice. So you can imagine how many vacuums I have bought in that time. I bought a new vacuum last year in February the day after my son's birthday party. I was trying to get the rug vacuumed for his party and where the belt spins, the belt sliced into the plastic on the vacuum. Not fixable. So that meant I needed a new vacuum. So anyway, the new one I got I LOVE!!! Let me tell you, I never thought I could be in love with a vacuum but I LOVE this thing! I bought a Dirt Devil D2 Reaction. It has a double tornado as my kids call it. It's super easy to empty. The crevice attachement is the longest one I've ever seen and so it works great under the recliner of my sectional! And let me tell you, it picks up so much more dirt than my old one! And it's reasonably priced. One day I was in Walmart and happened to go down the vacuum isle and this woman was looking at vacuums and asked me if I could recommend one and I showed her the one I had bought and showed her all the great features and she said it sounded perfect and put it in her cart and another woman witnessed this discussion and came over and said wow I think you've got me sold too! You should be their spokesperson! HAHA! So she bought one too! I've provided Target's link. You can buy it at Target, Walmart and other stores that sell vacuums. Good luck!
- Q:How to repair the vibration lever of vacuum cleaner?
- To remove the vibration lever, remove the lower cover and flange and pull the brush out of the housing
- Q:I would like to hear from users of the H20 Vacuum Cleaners. Are they as good as they say?
- yeah, they really suck
- Q:Can poor people own Dyson vacuum cleaners?
- They can only dream, hahahahaha *gently strokes my Dyson vacuum* Jealous much?
- Q:I've had my Dirt Devil bagless for only a few years. It was running just fine before we moved to our new house. Our new house has berber carpet. My vacuum does not move well on this type of carpet with a lot of dragging. What is a smooth flowing vacuum for very low carpet?
- Oh boy! This is a good one! I've got a Bissel (Clean revolution). I wanted it for the ease of onboard attachments and also good suction. It's 3 years old, works GREAT when it's clean, but the filters (and they are numerous) are constantly getting clogged with fine dust/dirt. Not to mention dog hair, which I know will be an issue. I've found the 'dragging' you describe can be somewhat remedied by changing the direction you push the vac. The nap of the carpet has something to do with it, though I can't explain the scientifics. ORECK is the BOMB!! They are Awesome when it comes to power, also DYSON (Especially with animals, and you have the convenience of on-board attachments.) The downside to both is they are outrageously priced! Dirt Devil is pretty good too. Try changing the level on it to med. or even high. On my Bissel if it's set too low the beater bar won't even spin...clean/change the filters often, especially with a pup. Best of luck, my friend! (Who'd have ever thought vacuum cleaners would turn in to a MAJOR appliance purchase?)
- Q:Preferbly cheap
- Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Vacuum you can also find it on OKorder uk
- Q:what type of motors do we have in juicers, blenders, grinders vacuum cleaners ?I think they are all contains dc motors but what kind of dc motors they have ?
- I know my Philips vacuum cleaner has a 'universal motor'. A universal motor can be operated by both ac or dc but the voltage is different. You can connect a dc to the plug pins to make it spin. But not if it is equipped with variable speed. In many cases, 12V dc is just enough to make it spin but higher voltage makes it spin faster (I have ever made it run in this way). A universal motor is very commonly used on power hand drills or other power tools. Its advantages are light-weight and high torque at low speed. This motor also has its negative sides: it is noisy and has (carbon) brushes. maintenance is therefore needed and its has spark when running. This motor is also called series motor because all of the windings are connected in series. In the contrary, squirrel cage induction motor is more common for other applications, such as fans, water pumps. Its advantages are quiet and maintenance is minimal.
- Q:Currently I have an Electrolux 2 in 1 Pronto but I am not satisfied with this vacuum cleaner because I have to leave it plugged in for hours to charge and recently it has not been picking up the dirt very well.. I use it to clean a linoleum floor. Can anyone suggest a good vacuum cleaner for a linoleum floor that does not have to be plugged in? Thanks.
- Consumers Report magazine, immensely help full. Mine is a Kenmore progressive, very satisfied.
- Q:I would like to use a Dyson floor tool with my central vacuum system. The system uses a hose with a 1 1/4diameter attachement port. Does anyone know what the inside diameter of a Dyson floor attachment tool is? Or if it will ft a standard vacuum hose?
- Hi there, I can confirm that Dyson accessories are only compatible with Dyson vacuum cleaners, and therefore we would not recommend attempting to use them with other machines. Kind regards, Jack Dyson Online Customer Support
