- Q: Please recommend a good & cheap vacuum for carpets and rugs.?
- The best vacuum I have ever bought is my Oreck. It's light weight and I can carry it anywhere and the suction is great. I bought it used on Craigslist and I see people selling them all the time on that site. Give it a try and if there aren't any for sale put an ad in the Wanted section and state that you'll pay $50.00. Good Luck
- Q: I need one new wheel for my Panasonic vacuum, Its a eco-max. Model MC-UL592. I have tried to contact Panasonic but after nearly 40 minutes on hold without even speaking to anyone i gave up. If you know any sites that sell wheels please tell me as i can only find ones that sell other parts.
- defiantly try their website
- Q: All of the quot;vaccum uprug cleaners say to quot;use with a fresh bag in the vacuumDoes that mean they are not appropriate for use with bagless vacuums ? Have any of you out there tried it ? I'd hate to ruin my bagless vac, esp. since it's a pricey Dyson.
- I would Not use the bagless vacuum, I'm thinking the particles from the spray my get lodged in the intricate parts of your vacuum and do something to it. If the particles are trapped in a bag no damage is done. I'm just guessing.Good luck.
- Q: this house s covered in dirt. im 20 with a 2yr old daughter and almost 16 weks preg with our 2nd. my husband is 22, we live with his dad and sister because mu husbands job keeps cutting hours and hes not making enough to get our own place, and i know some people will be like well if you dont have money to get your own place why have another kid...well i was on birth control both times ok!!! and i dont do abortion, and if i have a child i am going to keep it and take responsiblity and not jut give it away ok!...anyway back to the question...so i want to clean this house, it makes me so mad with how gross it is...everything gets dusty super fast and the carpets always have dirt in them. Our vacuum broke, so is there a way for me to clean all this without a vacuum???
- if your windows are open, try to keepthem closed as much as possible..especially when its windy..alot of dirt and dust comes in that way..you can use a broom to sweep the carpet, it doesnt work as well as a vacuum, but it will be able to pick up some of the bigger particles that are in the carpet...for area rugs take them outside and shake them..if you have pledge or furniture polish, you can use that with a rag to pick up dust off of smooth surfaces, if you dont, just use a damp rag.. and dont feel bad about your situation...everyone goes through hard times sometimes, we have all been there, strong families like yours are the kind that stay together forever and thrive..keep your head up, things will get better for you!
- Q: ?? Poll: When you were wee little, were you afraid of vacuum cleaners?
- Nope. Viking vacuum cannister on chrome sled rod. I could ride it and it sounded like a jet and looked like a torpedo. Later versions had invented the wheels. and became more breadbox like or saucer like. Not as much noise or sparks coming out of the exhaust as now instead of being directed behind, it was blown down onto the floor. Not enough power for lift off.
- Q: My dog likes vacuum cleaners. Whenever I vacuum, he comes over and tries to chew on it. He doesn't really care that its a very strong one either. He doesn't even mind people vacuuming him on the back! He just sits there like he's being brushed. Anyone else have a vacuum loving dog?
- Yes it is perfectly normal for a dog to do that, my dog does that all the time he loves it and the vet said it was normal for dog to do it too. Plus it helps it when your dog is shedding and it some what keeps dogs cooler.
- Q: I have looked virtually everywhere and I cannot find an easy, cheap way to clean my desktop computer's insides. I have come to the conclusion that:1. 'Canned air' is expensive and toxic2. Vacuum cleaners will use static electricity to destroy computers3. Blowing on the components will add moisture to them and destroy them. Will a bicycle pump work? Please, I am getting desperate.
- Compressed air is best option. You can buy it on the internet very cheap, although buy more then one can at a time as they don't last very long. Just use it in a well ventilated area. Normal vacuum cleaners cause static, you can get special computer ones that don't. A bicycle pump isn't very powerful.
- Q: I'm really confused i have a dry vaccum cleaner there is filters inside to protect the dirt entering in to the motor , so i'm thinking of a wet so how this work when water enters the motor does it damage? or it is working like a water pump? if so how the suction all work ?
- You can remove the filter to vacuum up water. There should be a float ball that plugs the air passage to the motor if water gets too high in the canister, and prevent water from entering it. Good Luck
- Q: I have had several of the cheap vacuums from Walmart and they have all left me infuriated. I need one that will last for more than 2 months. I know that you get what you pay for and I am willing to spend some money on it, but not too much. I have 3 animals, too!
- Go to a store that sells and services vacuums and get a used version of an expensive one. It's like luxury cars. They depreciate really fast in the first few years but are still good for a lot longer. You can drive a Mercedes with all the advantages of one without paying the high price. Some of them last a long time. My Filter Queen, bought used in 1989, is still going strong and it must have vacuumed a truckload of dog hair since I got it. It has had a full service only once, after I used it to vacuum all the drywall dust from my new house.
