- Q: How do I wire an outlet that has two black and to white wires. It this case the white being the HOT wires?? Don't know why all the white wires in my house are HOT.. And the black are nuetral???
- Just use what is called a pigtail add take a short piece of white wire and wire nut it to the other two thenyou will have one wire to hook to the outlet.Do the same with the black. Be sure you turn the power off before attempting any wiring task. Black on the brass screw and White on the silver screw on the outlet.
- Q: Blue and white wires contain insulated strands and red wire has a bundle of non-insulated strands. How are the two types of wires (insulated and non-insulated strands) used in homes (i.e. what are they used for?).
- The only wire I know of that has individually insulated strands, is Litz wire, used in radio frequency applications. If you mean the wire strands include such as a cotton strand, it is probably the core around which the other strands are spun.

- Dont cut the wiring to fit a new stereo...! Halfords do wiring harnesses changing one type to another. (?20) If its already cut, use a car electrician to be safe.

- Q: trying to put in a different radio, and take out the original radio, but don't know which wires are which. i tried doing it myself already, and now when i turn on my headlights, the taillights don't come on? but the turn signals come on and so do the hazards. did i snip a wrong wire or did one come loose?i only cut the wires that were attached to the stock radio.help please!thanks!
- reconnedt the wires as you cut them and buy a 10 dollar plug adapter and make life easy for yourself. you can buy them at any parts store , wal-mart, ect.
- Q: Wired car radio no sound powered on then wires crossed had to run red straight to battery. Then memory and ground crossed. Now nothing. Checked fuses radio fuse is bad. Will i also need a new wiring harness? Stereo Works fine when hooked up to battery charger.

- Q: i just bought a 97 jeep wrangler..the soundbar isnquot;t hooked up. I pulled the carpet back and found the following: a red wire connecting the soundbar to under the dash (probably power), and a black wire connecting the soundbar to metal. there are 4 small wires unattached to anything coming from the soundbar, and a red and white sound wire coming from under the dash (actually has plugs like on a tv surround system), and a ground wire all unattached. how can i hook this mess up to make the soundbar work. i do have sound coming from the front dash speakers. thanks for help.
- i love that jeep best year hold up the best i would take the wires from the sound bar and get rid of them i would just run fresh wires to the back of my stero the tv wires are plugs are for like a sub or ipod there should be 8 wires at the back of your radio 2 to each speaker so 2 the left 2 ot the right and 2 for the left rear and 2 for the right rear the stero should have one sold color and one that has like a blak line on it same color gray with blue green are comon what stero head you got
