I'd like to wash the covers as soon as possible! Do you think it would be OK to put the seat covers and cushions in the washing machine? - My sofa cushion covers are washable, and I have washed them on a gentle cycle with good results. I don't think you should wash the cushions themselves. If the covers are meant to be washable, they should have zippers or some easy way to remove them from the cushions.
- Q: i have one sofa and 2 love seats,they have been in the family for a long time ,and with money problems and debt , i thought i can do it yourself fix . the sofa is missing a leg in which i can get a new one from any store ,but wanted to know is there an easy way to fix like example the hands of the sofa have lost the cushion under it and some of the sofa seat things have rips in the fabric ,i tried sewing them but they still re-rip ,for i have toddlers at home ,has anyone done anything of the kind and is it more expensive then sending it somewhere or just buying a new one , the wood seems fine and in good shape ,it is just the cushion part and outer cover ,i thought of getting the slip covers but with the kids it wont stay in place at all so i want to fix the cushion and replace the cover
- Your not going to like my answer but you are using the wrong thread to repair the sofa the thread you need is almost the size of fishing line as for slip covers if you place some foam rubber under the cover it will stay in place . Good luck with your project.

- It probably won't work very well... A sleeper sofa is built with a much stronger an rigid frame to carry the load of the bed assembly.

- I would find the source of the bugs first. Are the bugs coming from behind the sofa? between the floor and wall? someplace else? First make sure no extra bugs are getting into the sofa. Next, find a spray that is safe for humans (and pets if you have any pets) and spray to kill. Once the bugs are dead, I'd find a cleaning solution or foam that might clean away the poison you used on the sofa. Good luck!

- Save your money and invest in a good quality sofa that will last. You get what you pay for. I could guarantee you will not be comfortable and that it will only last one year, if that. I'm sorry. I hate for you to make your first purchase a poor one. Use a futon or something until you save up for a nice sofa. Shop around at Lazy boy, Broyhill, Thomasville, Ethan Allen or other reputable furniture maker's. You may have to save up a little longer but it will be worth it in the long run. You can skimp on other pieces for a look. This is just my opinion. It is a deal that will fall apart.

- Hc sofas buy/sell for 3 credits now. Sometimes throught the day you'll see a room saying there selling Hc sofas for 2 credits, but the people are obviously trying to get quick cash. - A mattress with inner springs is more likely to be comfortable. I add a comfy pad too when guests are expected. I would avoid the foam mattresses as they tend to be cheap and break down quickly. No one likes sleeping feeling that nasty bar in their back.
