- Q: I want to entirely paint a Sofa and Wingback........ and im scared lol !!!....?Ok.... I have a old Sofa and matching chairs. Ive recently had a large patio cover installed over the rear of my house and would like to use the furniture...... and make it like a living room in the backyard... - The table: no problem. Sand it and use exterior latex paint in your color of choice. The chairs and sofa: problem. You are never going to keep the moisture out of the stuffing/padding no matter what you apply to the upholstery. You might be able to use them outdoors for one season but after that they are going to be moldy. If you can find a humidity resistant stuffing material I would suggest stripping the chair and sofa to the frame, re-stuff them and re-upholster in one of the newer weather resistant fabrics. I would waterproof the wood frame first and paint any exposed wood with exterior latex. Good luck!

Grampa plays with the little ones by tossing them onto a couch..... Grandma teaches tea party etiquette to the little gals while sitting daintily on the sofa..... figure on the couch being in the den and the sofa being in the living room....

- I'll okorder . Because there are so many variations of furniture these days, I would almost be sure that there is a slipcover to fit your sofa. My sister and I found one to fit her crazy arm chair so you should be able to as well. I hope this helps you some. :)

- Well, I think you should give it to the armchair too. What do you care what the kids look like? A rolling stone like you doesn't stick around to look at the kids... you will have moved on to a beautiful lawn chair in Florida by that time. Or even bean bag chair in Colorado. Either way, a man like you can't stay in one place. And you know it. (Until that hot little Asian futon comes along to steal your heart... and those kids would be cute.)

- You can't take off fixed cushions because, by definition, they are fixed in place. What you might try is getting a used sofa without fixed cushions. That way you can remove the cushions and re-upholster them before you resell it and go back to your sofa without fixed cushions.

- If you want something cheap, you can make your own. All you have to do is buy your on fabric and stuff it with cotton and sew it up.

- If you have a dog that big you can't sacrifice quality. That dog will be moving around on that sofa and it needs to be strong. Preferably made of a hardwood frame with double bolted joints. The material should be hard leather all the way. That dog will otherwise dirty it and tear it apart. Because you need leather, I am sorry it will probably not be cheap. However, You can buy a used sofa on Craig's List. Like very cheap leather sofas! Adding an area rug on the floor will keep your home cleaner still.
