Q:How to clean the carpet if there is no vacuum cleaner
Throw out and buy a piece new one. call the manufacturer to deliver goods to the door,
Q:PLease help... i havent tried anything yet cuz i dont know if it will ruin the carpet or not.
Hi There is two ways to remove wax from carpet. 1/ Use the edge of a butter knife to carefully scrape off or lift up as much solid wax as you can .Use a dry clean white terrycloth place it over the wax spot then heat it with a iron on low setting because most homes have polyester carpet, and if the iron gets too hot, it'll melt the carpet. Keep checking the spot every ten seconds or so, moving the terrycloth so that a clean spot is on the carpet. 2/ Which is the better way. Use the edge of a butter knife to carefully scrape off or lift up as much solid wax as you can Heat up a full kettle of water and pour it slowly on the carpet at the same time with a wet vac vacuum up the water. Keep on doing this until the wax is removed. From a carpet cleaner of 14 years
Q:I used one of those machines to clean a rug and it's left it all streaky. I want to start again when it's dry and not using the machine..so can anyone tell me what carpet cleaner to use or has any tips or suggestions. Any help appreciated. How do you clean your rugs/carpets?
sometimes you have to make multiple passes with the machine. If you rent another, make sure to clean it out before starting. Most people don't clean them when they return them. It's best to get a pro to do it, like Stanly
Q:I steam clean my carpet twice a year but lately because of a sick pet it is more often. No matter if I do it myself or have a professional do it, I see dark brown water. It has never been clear. How many times do I go over the carpet to get the clean water. Is this all dirt? Or is it color from the carpet and pad. It drives me nuts. Only carpet that comes out with clear is one that was shampooed twice over the years in an extra room that isn't used. Thanks to anyone who can tell me why and what I have to do. No, I'm not a pig lol. Of course I vacuum regularly.
Carpets can be really difficult to clean. No matter how many times you go over it, you cannot get it completely clean or dirtless. If you have the money, you should seek into getting tiles or laminate flooring. To me, it's way more sanitary and much more easy to clean.
Q:It's pretty funny because we are both artist but can't seem to agree on a rug. My living room is bubble gum pink, yes and extremely wild color. My sofa is a sage or dull fern green. My coffee table is dark walnut. What color rug would you place in this room? My FI was looking at a sage color rug with modern flowers on it my only problem is that it doesn't have any pink in it. We are aguring if the rug need pink in it to match. I found a dark sage rug with light pink accents but I am afraid it's tooo dark. What do you think I should aim for- a darker green then sofa or a lighter green?Any adivce would greatly help. And NO I will not change the color of my walls, I love my Barbie on Crack PINK color!!
Try okorder for fun funky-colored and **inexpensive** rugs. I am in favor of not matching the other colors in your room at all. Go a shade up or down from your pinks and greens and add a third or fourth additional color just to add interest. I think a chocolate brown or even a deep violet would be an extremely modern touch and would add additional whimsey to the room. You could also do red or a wine color to make the pink more vivid. If pink is the dominant color in your room, then you should be choosing contrasting hues to play it up more. Remember that adding more colors will allow you to choose more interesting accessories and will give you somewhere to go if you decide to decorate an adjoining room. How about 2 overlapping smaller rugs that don't match at all? I love your color choices, by the way. They are very sophisticated and soothing. My living room colors are pink, burgandy, black, and gold--all extremely modern pieces and sleek dark woods except for my rug--which is an antique flowered Oriental. I think it works great.
Q:Was looking to buy a rug online from argos but didnt know whether it would be soft or not, prefer a soft rug here is the advert
Polypropylene is less soft to the touch then some other fibers like wool, nylon and polyester.
Q:I am trying to find some used carpet for sale or for free to put in my garage any suggestions on where I coulda buy some or find some for free I live in the high desert in California
Try a habitat for humanity restore. You probably have one around there or ask somebody who's doing a reno on their house. You never know.
Q:I just want the best carpet cleaning company in the Gilbert, AZ area.
Stanley Steemer Carpet Cleaning Company... This is a amazing carpet cleaning company. I had them clean my car about a week ago and they did a wonderful job. I like the way they clean. They don't leave my carpet to wet like other companies i used... They followed up my review with a comment stating their apologies in regards to the customer service and also not granting the 10% discount I was originally quoted with over the phone.
Q:I currently operate a rug store that sells almost all persian rugs in Santa Rosa California (in the San Fransisco bay area). Operation is rather stable but I have two issues.1. I sell high quality rugs and hence the prices are more expensive reflecting the quality. However, many customers can find designs similar to mine on the internet at 1/3 to 1/4 of the price. (internet is 600, mine are 3000). If you put the rugs side by side you can DEFINATELY tell the drastic difference in quality. How should I cope with this?2. I am hoping to think of an idea used to promote the sale of these rugs. Any sort of promotion would be great just to get people to start buying.I have money to spend on ideas. Thanks, All help is appreciated. Best Answer will be chosen promptly.
You sell such a luxury item that your client base is much smaller. You have to infiltrate the market by showing that you have great taste and an eye for quality. Get a couple of high profile (rich, important, and powerful) clients and then word of mouth should help you immensely. It is all public relations. Hire a specialist if you must. Buy one of the cheaper rugs and have it on display (don't be real in your face with it-put it in a corner so that you can direct people to it if you need to make the point-keep the receipt on display and be genuine. Personally, I bought a handmade rug from Iran (I can immediately tell that it is better quality than whatever they sell at retail stores for twice the price (I bought it for $300 with shipping on OKorder). It is a low psi (120) with a thicker wool and some low pile, but you must remember that most people intend to have furniture, children, and feet on their rugs. I don't mind the lower quality because I don't feel the pressure of keeping it pristine when I bought it for function (then beauty). If you wanted to expand your client base you could open a seperate place that dealt with the more affordable and function driven rugs that would cost under $1000, but still be better quality than synthetic machine woven options. Good luck in your pursuits and I hope that I have been helpful! Just provide a service that fills an honest NEED.
Q:I have a brand new rug that is less than a week old. Every time I lift it up and sweep I have piles of white fine powder. That,s at least 3 times a day. Does anyone know what this is. I 'm thinking of taking it back.
The 'powder' comes from the packing process as well as the glue that holds the pile to the rug base. This is very typical when dealing with tufted synthetic rugs. It can also indicate dry rot or moth infestation but since it is new, it is likely the glue as I mentioned before.
