Q:it has a big yellow spot on the carpet now..
There's really nothing you can do. If you have any carpet left over, or can buy a small amount from a dealer.. You can cut around the stain and replace the carpet. You'll have to get special carpet tape (It's a sticky rubbery substance on both sides with strings in it.) and a carpet iron (Basically how it sounds. You plug it into the wall, it gets hotter then a clothing iron would and it melts the two pieces of carpet together.) to do it. But if you do it right, no one will notice a seam in the carpet. There's no way to dye it because the dyed carpet will never look like the original carpet.
Q:which is best for a bearded dragon? sand or cage carpet? thanks
I prefer carpet. It keeps them from accidentally eating the sand. Even though the sand is safe for them to eat according to the manufacturers, I wouldn't trust it.
Q:What size carpet is the 80 x 80 tea table suitable for?
Look, do you want to press the carpet under the sofa, and the diameter of the round carpet is as long as the tea table, and only the feet sitting inside can be stepped on it.
Q:I have a friend in the military who is sending home prayer rugs for our children to play with as magic carpets. Is it disrespectful for children to play on a prayer rug? If so, I won't let them. Thank you!
It's just a rug!!!! If it was someone's personal prayer rug then, yes it would be offensive. The rugs sent to you have never been used by someone as a prayer rug so let the kids play!
Q:Carpeting a 1400 sq. ft. office. Price is an issue. I would like to lay them directly on plywood floor (no 1/4quot; underlyment). Will plywood seams show through? Should I even consider laying them without gluing down? Any experience good/bad? And suggested source? I see them on internet for $.66 sq foot for excess inventory. Thanks!
No carpet pad is needed. Carpet tiles have an integral pad built into them to keep the plywood seams from telegraphing thru the carpet. You should adhere them to the floor, and while I agree with the previous answer about quarter turning the tiles, you may want to lay a few out and see how you like it before you stick them down for good. There are many different ways you can position carpet tiles (very versitile). Check out Interface Carpet (yahoo search will give you the website). They have good ideas on installation methods. And 66 cents a sq. ft. is a great price!
Q:I used one of those machines to clean a rug and it's left it all streaky. I want to start again when it's dry and not using the machine..so can anyone tell me what carpet cleaner to use or has any tips or suggestions. Any help appreciated. How do you clean your rugs/carpets?
I have used a product called CAPTURE for the last 5 years and it is the best thing I have tried yet, it even got charcoal out of my white rug. I buy it from either Sears or Home Depot. A guy I used to know who sold oriental rugs told me about it. They use it to clean expensive rugs that get marks on them in the stores.
Q:i took my carpet there was carpet underneath it looks pretty good but . but how do i get the glue marks off any suggestions
I don't quite understand--they glued carpet TO carpet? That's the laziest thing I've ever heard. Carpet adhesive can't be removed from carpeting, you have to tear it all out and replace it. Keep going and see if you hit hardwood floors, much better looking.
Q:How do I get nail polish out of my carpet? Would nail polish remover work?
Maybe vinegar? Have no idea!! :(
Q:We have a large carpet that we want to cut and lay over our cream one (to save it as we have a two year old) The carpet WILL fray and become untidy and we have heard that it will cost 80p per 12 inches to get it 'overlocked' or is it called 'binding' (the edges sewn up so it doesnt fray) and we just cant afford it as the measurements are 16 feet x 9 feet = ?40 (odd)... Ive done a little research and have come across 'double sided carpet tape' (?) also I see something else 'GLUE'.. that can be used. Does anyone out there know how we would do it... the tape AND glue (?) Can someone give me step by step instructions or directions on how to stop this carpet from coming undone and fraying. Thank you very much indeed. x
Paint the back side of the carpet with a latex glue. This product is used to make repairs to the edges of expensive wool rugs.
Q:How can I clean the tea juice on the carpet?
Dry foam cleaning (for wool carpets)The use of equipment, tools: single disk wiping brush the carpet and playing with bubble machine, comb or rake carpet, vacuum cleaner.Use agent: carpet, high foaming cleanser.Operation method:1, vacuum cleaner with a vacuum cleaner2, local treatment, that is, with a dedicated cleaning agent in the carpet above oil, fruit, coffee stains separately3, dilute carpet foam cleaning agent, inject Dapao box4. Handle the edges, corners, and machines of the carpet with hand brush5, with a playing device, carpet brush sweeping single disc machine, dry foam carpet brushing6, act for a while, then repeat7, comb or rake carpet carpet comb cilia, which is very important for carpet appearance, especially long fiber cotton carpets, carpet and accelerate the drying effect8. Let the carpet completely dry9. Remove dirt and dry foam with a vacuum cleaner.
