Q: what is the measurelt;RUG
Rugs are measured by length and width, and by the height and density of he fibers in their nap.
Q: Well ,I am staying in san jose.I wanted to buy a 5'x 8' rug for my living room.My budget is $130 -$180.I'm looking for easy maintainance, good looking, easy cleaning. Also, when i sit on rug,the rug should not go down for 1 inch- 2inch1 uld u suggest where to buy in bay area. Can i buy JC Penny.?2.Also,what type of material should i buy?3.What are all the factors should i think in mind before buying it?Thanks
The Lichen...in case you pick the rug to accessory the room - in spite of if darkish colours do teach each and every little bit of lint! in case you're searching for a monochomatic scheme decide for the Beige...purely make particular the pillows, lamps, wall decorations are colourful!
Q: we have narrow living room in which we put a sectional. we are unable to place the area rug. any suggestions?
Place the rug down first and then overlap the sectional onto it. If the rug is big enough, you can place the entire sectional onto it and still have enough of the rug exposed to look right. Just play with it until you get enough of the rug exposed to look right and don't worry about how much of it is under the sectional. It will look fine. Trust me, I've done it many times.
Q: For all carpet experts....I accidentally spilled bleach on a small section of carpet in my apartment. I cut out the affected area and tried to patch it with a piece from the closet but the colors dont match. How does the carpet dying process work? I called several places and they suggested I do it myself since they no longer do that sort of work.
Try cleaning with Oxy carpet cleaner by Woolite. Wife spilled beet juice on our new lt. beige berber, blotted up most of the juice, then nuetralized the rest with the ozyclean...can't see the difference, or use Rit dye in a similar color to the original.
Q: What's the difference between an area rug and an oriental rug?
an area rug is just that: ANY rug that is not laid down carpet, generally a rug that sits on top of another surface, often woods which shows around the edges. An oriental carpet is a very specific type of design. I would look at pictures as that is easier than trying to describe it. It is a type of area rug.
Q: Hi, everyone, Last friday night accidentally I park my car near gutter and it was raining very hard. Any way my car was flooded, the water level.thank God the car is working great except that the air bag light is not going off. I am planning to take it to body shop. Anyway my question is about the wet carpet in the car. I tried everything from using wet/dry vacuum to hair dry to leave the car open in the sun for few days. For some reason the moist is still there and has a bed perfume. Does anyone know how to fix this problem.thanks
suggest that once you have vacuumed the excess water, move the car inside if possible, open all car doors and and use electric fans to dry out the carpet. If you do this overnight it should be dry by morning. this is how I have seen the shops do it.
Q: I am going to get new carpet and a friend told me to get berber because it wears better.Does it?Is it more expensive than a good plush carpet?
Berber shows wear less quickly than a plush of the same quality. A really cheap berber will not hold up as well as a high-quality plush carpet, though.
Q: How did persian rug weaving begin ?
When did rug weaving begin? It is not known exactly when rug weaving began. In 1949, a team of Russian archaeologist, lead by S. I. Redinko were excavating in the Altai Mountain Valley of Siberia. Here, they uncovered the tomb of a Pazyryk prince who had been buried in the Fifth Century B.C.
Q: Rugs are freakin' everywhere!
Do you shuffle or drag your feet along the ground as you walk? If so, then stop doing that. If all else fails, destroy every rug you see.
Q: Alright.. so i need to kill fleas that MAY be in my carpet. I havn't seen any hop on me but my kitten has got fleas. I have a 12 month old son also.. that crawls on the carpet and puts anything in sight in his mouth, including his hands that obviously touch the carpet. I am sure SOMEONE has had this conundrum at some point... I am hoping some one can help me with this. What i have done so far, i've washed my precious with baby shampoo and combed the rest out... and so far i haven't seen her itch or any live fleas (she's white so they are evident) but i am sure they have gotten in my carpet in my living room. anything NATURAL or CHEMICAL that is toxic for my cat or baby is out of the question.. thanks for reading. i hope you can help!! :)
I would suggest first, doing what you are doing. I am not sure if regular shampoo works as well, but dish washing liquid does kill fleas. Using a metal flea comb on the head, face and ears will get the runaways. If you did not do the head right away, you might repeat the bath. Then, after the first bath, wait about 7 to 10 days and repeat the process, which gets any newly-hatched fleas. Make sure that you leave the dish soap bubbles on the kitten until the fleas are not moving. If you repeat this bath and metal flea combing and don't see anymore fleas, you are probably in the clear. If you just go the kitten within about one week, or so you might be O.K. I would wait to use chemicals and especially around a baby. If there aren't fleas jumping onto your kitten right now, there may not be any in the carpeting. Vacuum each day. See how it goes by the next week or 10 days. You can also comb with metal flea comb on a daily basis, if you are so, inclined. Dip any live fleas on the comb, into a cup of water with dish soap in it.
