- Q: I have this rug that's in my garage that I want to put in my room. It used to be in my old room when I was younger but I don't want to put it in my room because I had it in my room when I was 12-14 (Now 17) and it was a horrible time, I used to get in trouble, grounded, awkward moments, just horrible stuff. I know I'm being superstitious but I don't want to have bad luck in my room. I think that If I put the rug in my room it will invite all that bad. I really want to put it in my room but I can't.It will bring back all those bad times. How do I overcome this? And is it bad luck? Help please.
- There is no such thing as luck. If something we can't explain happens, and it's good we say we had good luck, and opposite if bad things happen we say we had bad luck. Luck good or bad is a state of mind. You must stop associating the rug with the bad times of the past. Think about it, the rug had nothing to do with the things that happened in the past. If your life has changed, and your more stable in your daily affairs the rug will not change that. It may be good to put it in your room you did write that you liked the rug, and that you would like to put it in your room. I say go for it. After a short time of it being back in the room, you should be able to let the past, and the fact that the same rug was on the floor go. Make new, good memories to replace the old bad ones that the rug reminds you of. It's not the Rug sweetie.
- Q: Ok i just got new ferrets and every time they go onto my living room rug and then sniff it they start bugging out like they'll keep jumping really high sometimes almost flipping and then start rolling around and its only when they sniff the rug is when they do this and they do it every time. Is it bad for them to be going on that rug?
- War dance. Weasles jump and flip around when they are happy.
- Q: What is the material of pp in carpet?
- Polypropylene or polypropylene fabric
- Q: hi guys i just got my carpet cleaned and my son said in his room it had a strong scent, and i was wondering if this is toxic and harmful, plus straight after we got it cleaned he got out of his bed and put his hands and feet on it, i also have a parrot is this safe for her, so basiclly my question is how safe is carpet cleaning
- With standard safety, it's not problem for you, your son and also your parrot. But I recommend (because I do not know the status of parrot) to open the windows and if it's cold these days, open them a little but Not Complete to have a fresh air in your house,
- Q: What is the carpet under the sofa and the tea table
- Mat mat
- Q: It's like a Persian rug (much less expensive--a rustic rug for our lodge-style home that's perfect as a wallhanging, but we want to hang the rug like a tapestry using velcro against a velcro-stapled board (as they do in museums). The problem is that the weaving is so virtually impenetrable that I'm breaking needles, fraying thread, creating callouses, dying a slow death :-) This will take me next to forever. There must be a better way than doing this by hand. Or, am I simply using the wrong equipment? I'm using curved upholstery needles, thimbles, upholstery thread (the thread often frays or comes out of its knot!), pliers (for the intense pushing of the needles through the shield-like rug backing. Please help!I just need to sew a two-inch strip that's about 6 ft. in length, but I've spent half a day sewing about 3 inches!
- Yes, you could crochet it directly onto the top of the bag (by poking small holes in the fabric and crocheting stitches into these holes...that's what the other kind responder was talking about, I believe) OR you can whip-stitch (over and over) the trim onto the top of the bag by hand OR you could even zig-zag it on the machine. This last would be strong, although it might not look as attractive as neat hand-stitching. The hand stitching might also be easier to remove if the trim ever frayed and you wanted to replace it.
- Q: whats a good inexpensive stream cleaner that will make my carpet look like new again! we moved into our apartment almost a year ago and it was a very rainy muddy day, ever since my carpets have just been plain nasty looking, its only the livingroom and diningroom though. What can i get that will actually work
- Personal carpet shampooers are only good for touch up cleanings. They do not get out the down deep soils. Which would not work for you in this case. If you purchase one, be sure to get one that heats up the water, Bissell does make an alright product. The rental ones are a bit better, but still are not able to get down deep and do not pull as much water out as they should, leaving moisture in the carpet that can cause bacteria. Consider having your carpet professionally cleaned at least once a year, and use your own carpet shampooer for touch ups.
- Q: we are renting a place and the folks that lived their were to say the least, wasn't very nice to the carpet.there are a few bad spots left from the cleaning, landlord want put in new carpet so any Ideas on how to do something besides just covering it up with a room size rug, which I could do,anyone else had this problem?
- The best thing to do with bad carpet is to correct it's behavior. If you have the bad spots left from the carpet cleaning. You should call the carpet cleaning company back to fix those spots. If they use spotters that have surfactants in it. (resolve, Woolite etc.) They leave a sticky residue when they dry. First thing you want to do is get some club soda and some white terry cloth towels. Pour some club soda on the bad spots and rub the terry towels forward and backwords then left and right. This will get all four faces of the carpet. That should take care of the dark spots or at least take the residue off the carpet. Look at your towel if it is black or dirty repeat till it is not. If that does not work. There is a spotter at home depot called Stain Extinguisher by chem dry. It has no surfactants and will not set a stain or damage your carpets. Robert
- Q: We want to store it under our house, but it can get dusty and being in Australia we deal wih extreme's in temperature, really hot to qutie cool. How do we prevent mould spiders gettting in there?
- Hi, okorder /... Hope this helps.
- Q: Is the Rug Doctor carpet shampooer really all its cracked up to be? And if not what is? I am trying to get rid of urine stains in my dining room from my persistent pooch. Any suggestions?
- madmarv:yes but spray resolve carpet on it first or windex as for pooch try putting dogie pads in other room and house break pooch to use pads not carpet.
