Q:How come my carpet is Dirty, i vaccum twice a day, mop my Floor, I live in a old apt, on 2nd Floor. i shamboo my carpet twice a month, but i just dont understand because my carpet look clean but my feet is always black from the carpet.. do i need to throw and get new carpet or tiles?? my carpet is Brown (short).
Carpets hold in dirt so no matter how much you clean your carpets some dirt will remain... You can use a mixture of baking soda/salt mix it together and use on the rug...The BS will deodorize the carpet and the salt picks up any loose dirt. You'll just have to vacuum a lot if your carpet is a dark brown... Also, your vacuum may have lost suction if it's not picking up ALL the dirt... Good luck
Q:theres a burn mark on my carpet about the size of a silver dollar and i want to try and replace it whats the best way to go about it?
Do you have any spare carpet from when they installed the carpet? You can cut a small section out and match it to the spare carpet, then use carpet tape to reapply it. Or you could cut a small piece out of the back of a closet and use it to patch. It would be a lot easier to just put a nice throw rug over the burn mark though.
Q:Our cat pees on our rug and we don`t know why. The main part is we can`t get the smell of the rug. We have this huge piece of tinfoil and it says that he would be scared of it and not even walk on it but he walks right over and starts biting at it. Now that the tinfoil is there he won`t pee on the tinfoil but he finds a new spot on the rug. We spray this stuff on the rug that we got from our vet but it would take like 10 bottles of it to take the pee smell off. Is there anything that you tried that takes up smell our anything you think is good to use? We are thinking off letting him be an outdoor cat so he will pee out there but we are not sure. We also have a we also have one of those squirt bottles that we filled up with water so if we catch him then we can squirt him. But we still need help!
we use a spray bottle on our male cat cuz hes onerey. But he got immune to the spray bottle and it doesn't even bother him, so that will only work for so long. You will probably have to use a rug scrubber and scrub it really good, because the cat can still smell it in the rug. You can try using bleach for coloreds (make sure it doesn't ruin the rug first) to take the smell out because cats have good noses and can still smell the smell even once cleaned. You may also have to take the rug up until he learns that its bad. Get him neutered if he isn't already, and see if he straightens up.
Q:do you perfer wood floor or carpet for a bedroom... i have wood but i think i want carpet?
carpet. in case you fall off the bed. no joking but its nice to have that comforable feeling.
Q:I understand that my knee-skin was torn/burnt in one direction or another all at once...but why does it hurt so bad?
your skin is sensitive. your skin chafes with the rug, causing friction which burns
Q:What to do if the blood drops on the carpet
The cleaning of blanket One, if blue ink drops on the carpet, use rice to rub immediately , then use detergent washing powder to wash. Two, if the red ink drops on the carpet, use alcohol to wipe, and then use detergent to scrub. Three, if there are old ink stains on the carpet, use milk to soak it, then use brush to dip milk to wash repeatly. Four, if there are oil stains on the floor, use brush to dip strong brine or gasoline to wash. Five, if the shoe polish and paint dirty blankets, use banana oil or gasoline to wipe, then use detergent to clean. Six, if the blood drops on blanket, use cold water to scrub, then use salt or lemon juice to scrub. don't use hot water because blood will solidify when it meets hot water. Seven, if tea or coffee stains smear carpet, then use glycerin to spread on it, next use a cloth to dip warm water detergent to wash Eight, soy sauce, vinegar, milk, ice cream, and drink dirty blanket, use cloth with warm water, then squeeze and absorb water, use alcohol to wipe. Ninth, if water stains dirty blanket, use 8% concentration of ammonia to soak the sewage and then use brush to dip ammonia water to scrub.
Q:I'm taking on a rescue horse that my friend rescued. He has rainscald and I was wondering when turning him out should I put a rug on him? Because there so many diffrent answers also can you put louse powder on them? Also he ginger and I need a name really want it to be unqui :) thanks
He would be best with no rug on as long as the weather is dry. The bacteria that causes rain scald can only survive in moist conditions so it's best left open and dry. Wash him in hibiscrub occasionally and dry him off fully, hopefully the scabs will then come off. If he must go out in the rain then put a lightweight rug on. Why do you need to put louse powder on him anyway? He shouldn't need it. No offence but you sound very inexperienced with horses. Make sure this horse sees a vet, then find someone experienced to help you look after him. Looking after a horse is very hard work.
Q:I have recently noticed that my cob's rug is rubbing slightly so I am going to buy her a Rug Bib to prevent this. She wears a 6'9 rug so what size would u recommend?
Hmm. A perennial problem is rug rubbing! First of all, look at the style of the rug and see if there is another style you could get. Some rugs are better for different shapes of horse than others. Horse and Hound did some articles on different types of rugs. Look them up on horseandhound .uk and go to archives. Also rub surgical spirits into areas that are already rubbing to toughen the skin and prevent sores. Also good to put on the saddle and girth areas of an unfit horse a few days before saddling him. I think from the length of the rug that he is a pretty large horse, so I would go for an extra large if he has a particularly wide chest, or large if his chest is not so wide. or measure him from shoulder to shoulder and from withers to tops of his legs and phone the company and see what they suggest. It is difficult to tell without seeing the horse.
Q:I want to replace my old carpet. It is very standard nothing special. It is 930 sq ft. How much will it cost me?
You can figure between $1.50/sqft - $4.00/sqft + installation, just depending on what type of carpet you choose. I just put some in my house that was about 1500sqft worth of carpet and paid $5500 total, and that wasn't that nice of carpet. I would shop around, yes it's nice to have some companies come to your house, but you should get several quotes and use them against each other as a bargaining tool. Good luck.
Q:We live in a really modern apartment- it was once a warehouse and they developed them into apartments with exposed pipes and such. We just got some couches... they are destressed black so sometimes they look really dark brown in the light, but they are black. We have the original oak floors with all the scrapes and knots in the them. We have dark wood for all of our furniture. We are trying to figure out a color scheme for the living room and more importantly a rug that would go. Any advice would be great! It seems that all the colors we like have brown as the main color in the rug and we weren't sure if that would go.Thanks!
Open and airy can soon become dark and closed in if everything you put into a room is dark. There are plenty of rugs that have brown in them but aren't all brown. If the couches look brown work with that. Here's a link to look at rugs. Maybe find one you like and print a copy and put it up against the couch. Good luck!
