Q: I have an 08 base altima s with the hub cap wheels. I want black 20 racing rims. I have no clue what to get in the way off size and offset so my sensors, handling and spedo don‘t get jacked up.BTW: please don‘t respond with some google search that I could have found. I‘m looking for someone with real knowledge of the car and rims. Thanks in advance.
listenme dont know much.but.like u said.about ur handlingmake sure u can have ur car liftedi say maybe 2in. springs upgradedand do measurements can ur car fit 20'sbasically.u have to lift the car up somealso try not to get wide tires that rub.do research.good luck man
Q: Can having larger tires in the rear than in the front of a FWD car cause Tie Rod to break??
No, having an oversized tire in the rear will not cause the tie rod to break. This is a normal occurence on FWD vehicles. There is a lot of strain with steering linkages on FWD cars. Replace the tie rod and go out and put the correct manufacturers recomended tire size back on your car. Right now you are only knocking out your 4 wheel alignment specs because your car is in an unnatural ride height. You will not even be able to rotate your tires if the tire size is that much larger than the front. i will assume it is a very oversized tire that is not recomended for your car because you are saying the ride height is that noticable. repair and replace with the correct parts.good luck.
Q: can you lift a car with coilovers I want to put larger tires on but the strut plate is in the way
if you are asking to lift a car with coil over springs , yes you can. then you mention a strut, that can limit some of the effectiveness.
Q: I have a 03 Lincoln town car and I‘m wanting to put 24‘s on it. It has air bags on the rear and springs on the front.
Go with the Knee Grows Lift Kit. It will suspend the front end until you become smarter.
Q: i have a cutlass supreme 86 and was planning on lifting it but i dont think the shocks will fit in the rear after i do that. wat should i do
the shocks should still fit unless your raising it up like a 4 wheel drive, you could also go with air shocks to lift it.
Q: i have an 86 cutlass supreme (it used to have airbag suspension) i just put in a set of springs and shocks, and it sits a lil too low if i hit a dip my tires start to rub, what is the best or easiest way to get about 1 inch of lift in front and back
Hi, Looks like you got the wrong: 1) Spring-shock set. They're too short. Soln. Get a longer set. 2) You got wrong size tyres. They're too large. Soln. get smaller ones. Either of these should correct the problem. HTH
Q: I give family members lifts home, like if my sisters come to visit, or sometimes borrow the car to go on outings with my sisters, such as a walk, or taking my mum to Tesco. I‘ve also borrowed the car 4 times in the last 6 months (as far as I can remember) for cinema trips with friends and to a party. So, what should I contribute to the upkeep of the car? Also, when I first passed my driving test I offered to pay for petrol and he didn‘t want me to as - 1) He didn‘t want me to think I could borrow the car loads/ get it in my mind that I half own the car and 2) He didn‘t intend for me to use the car a lot. Also, when I ask my Dad what I should contribute he tells me not to bother however, I remember he used to moan about my brother not contrubiting to the car when he borrowed it.
the bad side of owning a manual trans is when an auto fails, there usually is something left to build, with a manual, your looking at a great expense if it has been run to the point of failure if you can get the parts that is. sometimes rebuilding a manual trans just isn't financially feasible. besides, you don't want some dealer mechanic trying his luck repairing your manual trans
Q: a crane P lifts a car upto acertain height in 1 minute. another crane Q lifts the same car upto the same height in 2 minutes.statements-1. crane P consumes two times more fuel than crane Q2. crane P supplies two times more power than crane Qchoose the correct answer-a. statement (1) is true while statement (2) is false.b. statement (1) is false while statement (2) is true.c. both statements are true.d. both statements are false
man, I'm doing everyone's homework tonight, lets break this down. P lifts x to z in 1 min Q lifts x to z in 2 min P's fuel is 2* Q's fuel P's Power is 2* Q's power P is 2* faster then Q so does 2* the fuel for 2* the power over half the time sound right? does to me so I'd say c. both are true.
