Q: i hardly find a replacement for my electrolux vacuum cleaner filter bag... where do You think i can buy that in manila or batangas area here in the philippines: Alternatively, buy one of those more environmentally-friendly bag-less vacuum cleaners so you don't have to worry about the bag every time.

Q: We must have had 10 vacuums in the past 5 years. We have been buying bagless upright vacuum cleaners in the $80-$150 range. We run a playgroup from our house so we vacuum alot!! At least 3 times a day. These cheap cleaners just don't last. The loose suction very quickly and eventually just break. So we have decided to invest in a better quality one. Any suggestions of a good quality vacuum cleaner that will last and do a really good job time after time. We don't really care about bag/bagless or upright/canister. We just want something that works well and will last. We are looking in the $400 max price range. So far we have been looking at Dyson, Oreck and Electrolux. Please help!!!!: Go for a nice Handy Vacuum Cleaner or go for Cyclonic Vacuum Cleaner with Filter, Bagless.

Q: i forced her before will she hate me forever and never take bath: sometimes running water and vacuum cleaners and heavy metal makes birds want to take a bath. my cockatiel will land on my shoulder when i wash dishes and by the time i'm done with the dishes she is all worked up croaking and fluffing out her feathers that when i give her a spray bath with warm water she opens her wings and turns around and fluffs out for me! but at any other time she would not like it. buy a bird-bath spray in a pet store. you don't need to keep using it, you just need a spray bottle that never had chemicals in it, you can re-fill it with water. put the bird in the cage and take out all the food to keep it from getting wet. The spray the bird, but try to make the water fall on top of the bird, so spray over the bird to give it a rain shower, don't spray AT the bird. i think this sort of spray-bath is least painful for the bird in that the bird won't hate you too much. give your bird a treat of millet afterward. some birds will bathe themselves if you just leave a dish of water out for 'em. try leaving one out for a month or 6 months and see if the bird uses it.

Q: I essentially am looking for a carpet/floor upright vaccum cleaner. I was looking around in stores and found a lot of choice however. I notieced the following things about various brands.1. Bissell = Seems to be the cheapest and offers more features for it's price but looks kind of flimsy. Is this a good brand. Offers 1 yr warranty.2. Dirt devel = Cost a little more and looks better. Offers 2 yr warranty?3. Hoover = I know this is a well known brand but all I was able to see was the steamvacs. My mom had one and it's about 4 yrs old. Its very good still cleans up.Also I noticed Canaster Vacuum cleaners. What are the advantages of these? What is the purpose of having a canaster? I just don't want to get a habbit of purchasing a vacuum every 1 year because it breaks....: Do you have a pet with long hair? If yes, the Dyson Animal (purple) is the only bagless upright that does not clog up. It cleans up all the hair from my German Shepherd, cat dander, etc. I have had it 1 year and it is great. However, it is really expensive--around $500. Otherwise, I would get a Hoover with HEPA bags. You should check out some consumer reviews--like Consumer Reports or go on OKorder.

Q: My Bissell finally died. I used to love Bissell but that was the worst vacuum I had ever bought. I am looking at canister vacuums now. I see the Kenmore has a high rating as well as the Electrolux and the Miele. I want something that will last and has low noise and cleans carpets wonderfully. Any knowledgeable vacuumers out there?: Myself I like the uprights. They put a little more weight on the carpet and picks up more dirt. Also it has a dirt bag that I can check how dirty my floor is. I vacuum up to three times a day. I has been picking up the dirt the old canister vac did not pick up

Q: is there a name for fear of vaccum cleaners? because I KNOW i have it! ever since i was an infant i would screem frickin bloody murder in my crib when my mom would run teh vacuum cleaner. when i was jsut a small child i would run from it, afraid it would suck up my toes. and now, today, at 14, i cannot STAND the loud noise they make and i do NOT put my toes in front of one. it takes me a few moments before i can even bring myself to turn it on. the bigger, louder they are, the worse my reactions. sometimes at work (i volunteer at a veterinary hospital) i have to ask one of my co-workers to do it because i will purposly busy myself just to get away from it.please, do not laugh at me. it's embarrassing enough and i just want to know the name of it.thankxx! :]: we had a dog that had this... she would always go and run and hide under the bed... but she was a BIG dog...
