Q: Why are cats generally terrified of Vacuum Cleaners?
Because they are very loud and not something a cat experiences all the time. I vacuum weekly and the cats leave a trail of bricks behind them when I do. However, my 7.3 liter diesel engine doesn't phase them a bit when I fire up the truck and they're standing nearby. It's a matter of exposure. If you ran the vacuum twice a day, every day, it would eventually cease to have an effect on them.
Q: I should also add that I need a vacuum cleaner that has strong suction and is good for picking up cat hair.
I have a couple of Oreck vacuum cleaners. They have disposable bags. They are powerful and light weight. You need the Oreck hand vacuum that goes with the upright Oreck as there is no hose on the main unit. Oreck has a small vacuum with all the hose attachments and it also has a disposable bag. Very handy for doing stairs. I've had mine for about eight years with no problems at all.
Q: I was wondering why my vacuum cleaner was leaving trails of crap all over the place... so I flipped it upside down when it was on, and it turns out it does vacuum (quite powerfully, at that) but all the crap gets shot out of another part of the bottom! What can I do to stop this... maybe it just needs a good cleaning? I don't know much about vacuum cleaners, but I know they shouldn't do THAT..... thanks in advance! :)
YOu probably need to empty it out or change the bag. Clean the filters. The only time Ive ever had tht problem was when the vacuum needed to be cleaned out. Also make sure all the hoses are connected, sometimes they come loose and it will still suck up dirt but it will dump it back into the carpet.
Q: So I have heard tales of cats or dogs getting eviscerated(gutted) by a vacuum cleaner. Now personally I do not believe this, I am just wondering if there is any science or knowledge to back this legend up.
Hmm. What Oreck do you may have? I do not know the model of mine due to the fact i'm at work however we haven't had any obstacle with the belt breaking and we've got had it for approximately 7 years and we now have two puppies that shed loads and used to have a cat unless 2 years in the past. It doesn't have any attachments, simply the basic mannequin I feel. We have no carpet though so that would be the main issue for you and the belt you probably have carpet. All of our previous vacuums would best final a 12 months or two but this one has been first-rate! It is so mild too, a Dyson can be heavier....
Q: Every vacuum cleaner I have ever had starts smelling burned after 1 min.of use. They barely pick up anything and I have to go over that spot 10 times. In addition I have to clean the rollers EVERY time before vacuuming. What amI doing wrong? This happens with all my vacum cleaners, new or used.
It can be anything, but if it happens to all of your vacuums then it's probably something you are or are not doing. I would look at the above suggestions, like checking the belts to checking the height adjuster. Then, consider your vacuum. You have to change the bags, which do clog up. You should do this every 3 months if you vacuum weekly.
Q: Is there any difference between any Hoover Vacuum Cleaners or are they all the same?
There are different prices and different features. All Hoover products work well. I've been a Hoover user for 50 years.
Q: My current vacuum broke and I need to get a new one. Where could I get a good vacuum at that is not too much money? I do not want to spend more then $80 and I live in Denver, CO.
If you have a reasonably small area or don't mind emptying it, the upright Dirt Devil canister is very good. Wal Mart or Sears about $45
Q: Because gladiators would want something that is versatile, more powerful, and easy to use. Attachments are more easy to change for when cleaning for furniture or stairs and switching from carpet to bare floor can be done at the handle by turning off the power nozzle, then switching to the bare floor tool. Easy bag and filter change.
Any clever gladiator Would choose a Bissell
Q: Are there any full-size vaccum cleaners that are battery operated, rather than dragging around that long cord?
There are such vacuum cleaners generally used for gardens or lawns.
Q: Is it true that jewish men hide money under their wives vacuum cleaners?
WHY WOUOLD THEY DO THAT..?I MEAN THA VAUUM WOULD SUCK UP THA MONEY INTO THE BAG AND THEN THEY WOULD THROW THE BAG AWAY..RIGHT.?
