Q:Have you ever run over your OWN toe with the front of the vacuum cleaner?
it's the vacuum after my toe!
Q:I need to buy a vacuum but I don't know what one I should get! Some help please? It needs to be able to go from carpet to hardwood. Actual Hardwood. And I would rather have bag less then bagged.Any suggestions?
your problem is going from one surface to another. a carpet should always be vacumned with a beater bar attachment, this helps pull the dust up from the pad. a 12 amp motor is recommended. however beater bars do not work effectively on wood or tile surfaces as they tend to just spread the dust. the most effective vacumn on the market today is the DYSON. it is also one of the priciest. a reconditioned one can be bought at FRYS for 200.00 Avoid the SHARK (motor doesn't last). a cheap, bagless, hepa filtered vacumn can be had for around 60.00
Q:I want to gift my mom a vacuum cleaner. What are the main features i must look before buying and what are the advanced premium features? Also, which company's Vacuum cleaners are best (India). Can you suggest any model?usage : 1000 sq.ft house... daily cleaningThanks
Hoover or Nilfisk :) (nilfisch is more expensive but are good)
Q:i've had several different vacuum cleaners and the belt keeps breaking, I have no pets, but I have long hair but still, should the belt be so fragile?
Generally, they're not fragile. Without seeing it I can only guess. Is the beater bar easy to turn or clogged with hair? [without the belt] Do you keep the beater bar fairly clean? Is anything blocking or rubbing? Is the belt being cut or melted? Take it apart, clean it well, and put it back together. Make it look like new, and it should act like new.
Q:I was conversing with a person in the vacuum industry and was informed that they were a bucket of s.h.i.t so don't be fooled by the marketing.
Everyone has their preferences, that's what makes a horserace. I've been in the vac repair business for over 35 years, started out with Electrolux, which at that time was one of the best built, longest lasting, best cleaning machines in the industry. They were 98% American built, using American parts in an American city, by American workers. I've repaired and refurbished, rebuilt, just about every possible brand and type of vacuum, steam cleaner, floor scrubber you can name and the one thing that always seemed to stick in my craw about Dyson, is the flat out, bald faced lies that the bonehead who appears on TV and claims to have designed the thing spouts. He always says, It can't clog and lose suction because it has no filters. BUNK! I know of at least 3 filters that are available for Dyson's, (you know, the one that doesn't have any filters to clog). That's pretty much the problem with all bagless cleaners. They MUST be filtered someway, or the dust would be pulled through the motor and be pushed out the exhaust, simple physics. One other thing while we're debunking here, the powdered stuff you sprinkle on the carpet and then sweep up to make them smell nice and fresh, will ruin your vacuum. It's like sucking up flour, or plaster dust. It plugs the pores of the bags used to catch it, or the filters on the bagless units, either way it deprives the motor of the air flow it needs to stay cool enough to last.
Q:Jim sells vacuum cleaners. Each week he earns $200 plus 8% of his sales. How much did he earn last week if his sales totaled $3200?
The question states that SALES were 3200, so 8% of 3200 = 256 in commissions (plus salary of 200).
Q:everytime i vacuum i get the urge to stab somebody
lol, i hope nobody is near you while you using the vacuum. It does annoy me, i hate when something gets stuck inside and the sound gets worse!
Q:I have just bought a vacuum cleaner, but am very disappointed with it as the suction is much weaker than my old one. Apparently, the suction power on this new vacuum cleaner is 260 AW.Should I get another one or do all vacuum cleaners have a weaker suction than the old ones. Please give me your advice on this.
NO upright vacuum purifier on the industry will do an somewhat terriffic interest of cleansing the sides of carpet or flooring close to to partitions, furnishings, and so on. i've got been repairing those issues, all makes and fashions for over 35 years, and that i can inform you with fact that area cleansing isn't something extra suitable than hype, by ability of the vac companies. the terrific technique to get the dirt and dirt around the sides of your carpets is a hose attachment and a crevice gadget or dirt brush. determining to purchase a severe amperage vac is doing no longer something extra suitable than spending extra funds for extra electrical energy to run the vac motor. There are a number of vac's available that make great vacuum with 6 - 8 amps, at the same time as there are a number of vac's advertising 12 - 14 amp automobiles that make much less vacuum with much less air flow. As for the Dyson, that's a actual rip. The classified ads communicate approximately no longer dropping vacuum because of the fact they have not got filters to clog. i'm curious then, as to why my factors distributor lists 12 distinctive filters for Dyson's. ???
Q:what is the fear of vacuum cleaners getting near your feet called? because idk why but every time a vcuum comes near my feet i flinch and have a mini heartattack.... anyone wanna tell me? (:
There does not appear to be a scientific term to specifically describe a fear of vacuums. Perhaps the fear stems from the loud noise the equipment makes or anxiety that you might lose something valuable while you operate it, a dropped wedding ring for example. The suction capability of most vaccuums is not enough to cause serious injury, but it may be enough to cause you to worry. Traumatophobia is the fear of injury. Ligyrophobia is the fear of loud noises.
Q:Every dog I've ever owned (of at least four different breeds) reacted to vaccum cleaners oddly. They bolt in terror at the first sight of it, and sometimes bark hysterically. Surely other people notice similar trends.
It's kind of big and makes a loud growling sound when you move it. A dog has no idea what a vacuum is, so they end up barking, attacking it in fear.
