Q: I have purchased wool rugs which I really like but they have an odour and we have stepped on prickly objects that, when searched for, turn out to be similar to twigs (approx. an inch or more in length) or seeds woven into the wool. The rugs come from a very reputable rug importer that operates in the United States as well as Canada so I'm somewhat surprised at what appears to be poor quality and am considering returning them. Will I find this with all 100% wool handmade rugs? Does cleaning them make any difference?: If your supplier is buying from village producers, then yes, there will be twigs and seeds in the wool. In a handmade rug, the wool is sheared from sheep that are wandering about and getting dirty. Although the wool will be combed/carded and probably scoured a little, it will not become 100% clean. Textile machinery and harsh chemicals are required to remove every bit of debris from the wool. A 100% wool rug with no debris in it will invariably be machine made. The smell is one of sheep..... again, if you buy heavily scoured, bleached wool the smell is not so strong. A good example of this that can be seen in most yarn stores is the Japanese-produced Noro yarn. It is moderately expensive but small twigs and grasses can still be found in the yarn.

Q: We are almost done painting the living room which has hardwood floors. Covering them was simple...newspaper and tape. How do I go about covering a carpeted floor so that it will stick? Q: In sims bustin out people are always saying in order to get married you need a love rug. I look at everything in buy/build mode. Do you have to unlock? Can someone please tell me where to find the love rug?: You do not need to buy a rug in order to get married. There is a bear skin rug in buy mode / decorative that you can relax on and make-out. To get married in Bust Out mode, you just need to be in good relationship and in love with someone from the Tootie or Frootie household. Then you can just ask them to marry you. If they are hungry, need to pee, etc. they may refuse. If you are in Freeplay mode, 2 adult sims already in the same household cannot get married, but you can ask sims in a different house to marry you if there are 3 or fewer sims in the household already. Freeplay has a 4 sims per house limit.

Q: This rug in in our appt. and because of leaking windows mold is starting to form, the rug is tan in color and bleach will stain please help: if you are renting this apartment, it is the responsibility of the landlord/managing agent to repair the damage and replace the windows and the carpet . . .the carpet will need to be thrown out . . in the meantime, when the carpet is dry, you will need to pull it back from the wall so the floor can dry out too and then spray the heck out of it with Lysol Mold and Mildew Spray to kill the spores - saturate it - let it dry again . . . use a rug doctor (the kind of machine you can rent at the grocery store to clean the carpet as well as you can . . . then give the bill to the landlord/managing agent for reimbursement . . . depending on the mold type, you could have a serious health issue going on there . . .

I put heavy furniture on them. they move a little bit now, but still wrinkle and not safe to walk on themcan someone please tell me where can I buy good large carpet area? thanks.: Most of them will move and wrinkle unless they're very heavy. What you need to do with the rugs you have is to buy some waffle weave non-skid stuff to put under the rugs. You can even tape it on the rug with masking tape or carpet tape. Ikea sells it, called Stopp, and they also have a felt underlay called Stopp Filt. That stuff could increase the wrinkle resistance of the carpet if it's used. They sell stuff like the Stopp just about anywhere carpet is sold, and it comes in larger sizes that you can cut to fit.

Q: Okay.. Stupid question:Will a horse get caught up or whatever if they decide do roll while wearing a winter rug? Or will they be okay??Just wondering, cause I'm curious :): As long as it has adequate straps, your horse should be fine. You want one with straps around each hind leg, as well as one or two belly straps. I've seen the ones that only have belly straps fall to the side when the horse rolls. Then the horse can step on it or get tangled in it.
