- Q: There two different places in the house that have had candle wax spilled on the carpets - Berber carpet and Mini Shag carpet
- Where the wax is puddled, you can whack it and break small pieces off. Some you can pull off. The part that's melted into the fiber is the part I've always ironed off. You need an iron that's trashed (second hand store) or will be after this project. The iron can be used later for crafts. Rip a paper grocery bag open so it'll be one big flat paper. Put it over the wax. Place the heated iron on the bag and pull the bag as you leave the iron in the same spot, until no more wax melts into the paper. You keep doing this until you've removed all the wax that will come up. I've been able to get so much out that it nearly felt soft and supple again. Best wishes.

- sure!. also you can use house carpet also. but before you put carpet down, unhook the battery, open both doors, clean the floor off and brush paint the floor with rust-olem paint, let it dry good, then put the carpet down. the paint will protect the floor board.

- I have used many different kinds, and I don't think it matters that much. It depends if it was made for rugs or not. They may not work on placemats that well. They are very different! I think it really depends a lot on the weaver, and not the weaver's tools.

- A 2-foot by 3-foot rug would be fine at your doorway, but it won't give the rest of the room any protection, just a place to wipe your feet when you enter the house. Your room-area rug can be as big as the room will accomodate...but the bigger the rug, of course, the more $$$ you'll have to invest. You could start with a 6-foot by 9-foot in front of your sofa, which you could probably get at Walmart/Target/K-Mart for around $125. It will be nylon, and it won't last an eternity, but it should do until your puppy matures! Then you could look at investing in a nicer rug that won't get chewed on...or you-know-whatted on.....Good luck!

- It is recommended that the carpet be washed with the washing liquid, and then exposure to air dry.

- place paper towels over the effected areas to soak up as much as you can, replacing the towels as needed, then, if you have one, take a wet/dry vacuum and a spray bottle with warm water and spray the area then vac it up repeat this process until they oil is up. this also works well on other spots, just use clear water, no soap or spot removers.
