- Q:i kno its not good to use on carpet, but techniquelly, dont clorox wipes still disenfect the carpet they are used on?
- I use Clorox wipes on carpet in my home and they clean a stain beautifully. Yes they disinfect any area they clean. Maybe not all the way through to the bad though. If you do use on carpet test an inconspicuous spot to make sure the carpet is colorfast.

- The carpet should be replaced only when it is soiled beyond the cleaning process. Time has nothing to do with replacement.

- Yes, go to the pet store and look for urine b gone, it really gets rid of the smell, before hand try to soak up as much as possible, before it drys. BOL

- I have never heard of such a thing. Maybe you need a special kind of paint? All I know is that when I accidentally spilt some paint on my carpet it made it all hard and crunchy. I would suggest getting a floor rug.

- Carpet is made of wool, rayon dacron, polyester, nylon or polypropylene. It could be a combination of any of these.It normally has a latex backing which attaches it to the grid looking back.

- You are never going to get cat urine smell out of the carpet, your olfactory senses are just going to become accustomed to the smell and mask it themselves. Then when you have company or guests they will smell it. That carpet needs to be ripped up and the floor checked for saturation as well. The landlord IS responsible for that, and should have gotten a cleaning/security deposit from the last renter which He/She probably did, and wants to pocket the money, or tried a quick cheep carpet cleaning method which is a joke anyway, but that's a whole new subject/posting. I'm not sure what your relationship is with the landlord, but I told you what needs to be done, and maybe there is hardwood flooring under the carpet that can be restored or even just rip up the carpet and the HW floors might be in good enough shape to just clean up. ANYTHING will be better than that cat urine smell and nasty unsanitary environment for anyone to be around. I sure hope you dont have children especially ones that crawl still, THAT IS JUST NASTY. Either way, the landlord IS responsible and you have rights so If said landlord is refusing to step up and take their responsibility seriously, then take the slumlord to court and do a little research to find out the list of infractions they are committing , there's quite a few last time I inquired. Good luck, and remember, any cleaning will only mask cat urine, some more than the next, but will never completely remove the secretions.

- Between general floor tile and carpet is not directly connected, sometimes because of the pursuit of beauty, will install the stainless steel strip on the carpet and floor junction, a partition, look transition layering, not because of bad carpet carpet glue make up.

- I wouldn't clean it like a normal carpet. Certainly do not steam clean it or use soap and water. There is a dry carpet cleaning method called Capture. You can usually find it at the supermarket near the other rug cleaning products, or at a DIY home improvement store like Lowe's or Home Depot. It comes in a kit. You sprinkle the stuff on the carpet -- its sort of semi-damp and clumpy -- then use the brush that comes with the kit to rub the stuff into the stain or the entire rug. Let it sit for a bit, then vacuum up the residue. I have used this on my wool area rugs in the past and it works great.
- Q:What's the difference between a carpet and a rug?
- And full carpet is the entire floor, is a large area of construction, carpet requirements are not so high, so the cost is relatively low.
