Q: I have a hair line crack in my bathroom sink, any ideas how to repair it so it does not show, my sink is a cream color: bathroom sink porcelain you can buy a substance to repair it just like plaster but you mix it and you can shape it to ythe mold of your sink and get a little buffer and you work it in is like a paste it turns into porcelain after is done like knew or buy a new sink and replace it depends how much you want it.

Or can I do something else?: drano worked for me. but you could also get the imitations which are cheaper and have basically same ingredients. if it still doesnt work, get a metal hanger and fold it so its like a long rod with a hook. there may be hair in there ir something else preventing the water from going through. pluck out all you can. as a last resort, my dad had to disarm it a bit from under the sink and remove stuff by hand, but that was when the ring when down the sink. either way, first try drano but follow the instructions. then try the clothes hanger. then disarms. if all else fails, search for cheapest plumber around. good luck (:

Place electric heater safely under sinks and leave doors open. Place small fan on low setting and circulate air under sinks. Open hot water side of faucets. Allow cold water faucet side to drip. This will prevent cold line from also freezing. Close bathroom to heat up room as much as possible. Do the same in basement with a fan and heater at ceiling pipe risers. Once it is thawed and running allow it to drip to prevent further freezing. The trick is to safely thaw the lines without causing a fire. This is a safe and proven method.
