Q: So my bathroom sink is really clogged. There's a small pool of water in my sink that won't drain at all. I dumped boiling water down the overflow hole but that didn't do anything. I used a plunger on the hole in the sink which still didn't do anything. I've used a bent hanger w/ a hook on the end to get out stuff from it but there's nothing else getting stuck on the hanger. I don't have a snake or anything to use. Is there a way I can get the water to drain at least long enough to get drain-o. And even then, if the water doesn't drain in that time, will drain-o still get through the pipes when there's water in it. Please help me out here. Thank you so much. &lt;3: If you don't want to deal with the mess of removing the trap, I would just go to a local hardware store & buy THE 10 MINUTE DRAIN CLEANER. It has never failed me. It works way better than Draino, etc.

Q: Big bathroom sink crack, repairable or...?: Hi you can repair the sink with a epoxy resin that you can get in many colours. look on line also if you can apply on the underside of the sink. P.S If the damage was accidental you may be covered on your house insurance. You may be better advised to buy a new sink, your eyes will always be drawn to the repair when you use the sink. Q: I recently removed a drain plug device for my upstair bathroom sink and removed the trap to clean out my girlfriends hair that clogs the drainage. Since, I have done this I am getting a sewage smell especially when I am running water. What can I do?: Make sure the trap is working properly. The trap needs to maintain water in order for it to stop venting up sewerage. if there is too much of a drop from the sink to the bottom of the trap it will siphon some of the water out of the trap leaving a air gap which will aspirate and vent up. unless there is something still in the sink or pipe before the trap causing the smell, the system is not vented or its not trapped properly. good luck
