- Q:My girlfriend and I recently moved into a house that we recently purchased. The bathroom sink is extremely clogged...to the point that a decent strength snake cannot begin to break through. The clogging is probably a long standing build up of hair, etc. Is there a liquid that can eat through it perhaps or maybe something better than a metal snake that will clear it? We can't really afford to have a plumber come in right now, and so I want to get this cleared myself. Thanks in advance!
- I agree REMOVE the ELBOW PIPE under the sink and replace it.... you'll need CHANNEL LOCK PLIERS and the part is cheap and and at WAL MART or any other store that sells hardware !

- You need to first say what is leaking: the faucet itself or the sinkbowl around the drain. It might be good to get yourself a beginner plumbers book at Lowe's or Home Depot. If you have too much trouble just go to Lowe's and explain the problem you are having to one of them. Normally they have at least one person there that is fairly knowledgable regarding the subject you ask about.
- Q:So yeha i live with my family in college, and its my duty to clean the bathrooms, been doing it for a long time but ive noticed these ugly brown spots and i cant seem to get rid of them. They are only on the sink and on the flat surface not the bowl where the water comes out. - If your sink is imitation marble, your stuck with them. You need to be real careful of what you use on it if it is ,as allot of chemicals will start to melt that making a worse mess. If it is a Porcelain sink, (what the toilet is made from) use a pumice stone on it. That is a volcanic rock used to clean many things such as tile, toilets. It doesn't scratch the surface but does remove stains you never thought would come out. Buy one at Lowe's Hardware or any pool supply. Pretty cheap too. Only a couple of bucks.

- Not hard 1. turn off both water valves under the sink turn both taps on full to drain the pressure off the line 2.get pliers like channel locks, or adjustable wrench remove water lines not at the valve but at the faucet bottom under the cabinet. 3 unscrew counterclockwise both lines a little water may come out its normal if it appears to be continuous tighten the valves more. 4 Under the water lines are the hold down nuts remove both and pull unit out from topside then repeat the procedure in reverse, use Teflon tape on the threads to help aid sealing and prevent water from rusting them together, make sure everything is tight and turn the valves on You may want to remove the aerator under the nozzle just in case the lines are old and rusty let run for a minute or two then screw the aerator back on . if all rusty you may have to break the nuts on the bottom side that holds it on its not a big deal considering it toast anyway. make sure you bring a flash light and wear glasses because stuff will fall into your eyes 3-4 wraps clockwise with the Teflon tape on each thread you can pre wrap the faucet prior to install. Probably have to call a professional.The rubber seal on this Delta faucet is almost non-existent and somewhat leaking but not profusely Someone had suggested unscrewing the 2 faucets, did that, but then what next? The faucet itself is intact to the sink. Why did someone think it would lift out? It does not.The only way to get to it is from underneath and it is very tight space, the vanity is very small. The sink is in the way so I can't even see the underneath of the faucet itself from inside the cabinet, it is way back and like I said, the space is very very small. Looks like the sink probably has to be removed first? Such a pain for such a small job.Thank you.
