Q: I've got a badly clogged bathroom sink. I took out the draiin cover and I can see where the water is just standing/ draining extremely slowly. I can't reach the clog, but I was able to get a wire coat hanger into it and pull out a small bit of hair (not sure how hair even got into the sink!) but it didn't do anything to speed the draning. There could be a small bit of gravel in the drain from a few months ago as well as some bits of paper (all on accident, I'd never put anything down there!). I already tried some baking soda and vinegar but it didnt help, the vinegar just made the water level raise. The water is maybe 6 or 7 inches from the drain (not in the sink, in the pipe). What should I do? Thanks for your help :)
Stop screwing around. Follow these steps: - Go to the ATM and withdraw $50 - Go to the hardware store and buy a drain snake (any decent hardware guy will point one out to you). You don't need top of the line, 25' long is plenty and it shouldn't cost too much. - While at the store pick up a decent pair of pliers. I like Channellock but any pliers about 10-12 should do the trick. - Get some rubber gloves. You'll want them. - A can of WD-40 - Go home and get under the sink. - There are a couple of nuts holding the pipes together. Loosen the ones that hold the U-shaped pipe on. NOTE: have a bowl or bucket underneath! NOTE: the large chrome nuts holding the big drain pipes! They'll be chrome or white plastic. - Run the snake up through the pipe toward the sink. turn and push. Pull it back and remove any gunk. - Run the snake through the pipe going into the wall or down through the floor. Turn and push. If it starts to get hard to turn, pull it back and remove any gunk. Go back in and repeat until you don't encounter any more difficulties. If it becomes hard to push, that may be a turn in the pipe - keep trying. - When you cannot advance any further or have inserted the entire length of the snake, but not brought back any new gunk, you're done. Job's finished. It cost you, at the outside, $50. You will NOT find a plumber that will do the job for less, and when it's over you own the tools, so the next time this happens the fix costs you nothing. Shoot WD-40 on the snake as you wind it up, and shoot more inside the can it winds up inside of. That'll keep it in good shape until next time. Good luck with it.
Q: The bathroom counter basin cabinet what material is better to waterproof moisture
Toilet countertops, the current general use of marble
Q: They are pretty much tiny people..
lol. do you bathe in the TImes Square fountain? because you're pretty much an idiot
Q: What about Klein Basin? Is it okay?
Personally feel that Kohler is still very good, very sound reputation.
Q: How to choose the bathroom as a whole basin
Do not need a special area, a separate wall can get, need to pay attention only to try to match the color of the wall. Such a space, must be a bit more fashionable taste.
Q: It's special! D: My mom gave it to me when I was little -______- I never even wear it, and the ONE day I decide to wear it, it falls down the drain. -.- I took it off to wash my hands, and I guess it slipped out of my grip. -.- Anyways, I've prohibited anyone from running the water in that sink until my ring is retrieved. I wanted to try and fix it myself, but I was too scared to twist/turn any of the knobs under my sink. I've seen it in the movies where all the water comes shooting out,and I don't want taht to happen to me... WHAT TO DO?!
Look underneath the sink for the drain pie, where it has a U, loosen withchannel locks and it will be there
Q: Bathroom basin below the smell how to do, the decoration company has done a diving bay, the tube also made u-type, but still have the taste, seeking expert guidance
You can spray air freshener
Q: My bathroom has an old sink that needs to be replaced. At the same time, the faucet and related items would be replaced. If I hired a handy man what would be the estimated cost to me for removing the old and putting in a new sink with all the related items including labor and parts? What would be the estimated cost if a plumber did the job?The new sink would not be anything fancy, just a standarized sink that would be used in a condominium. Thanks
There are a lot of variable to this question. First, labor rates are very dependent on where you live (city/state). Is it a pedestal sink or one with a vanity cabinet? If it is a vanity, is it a drop in or under mount sink? There is also the question of size. There really is no standard, as sinks are made different sizes to fit in different spaces. A pedestal sink will generally cost a little more in both labor and for the sink itself. I would love to give you an idea of cost, but with so little information, I'd hate to give you bad information. Your best bet would be to call around to a couple local plumbing shops and have them come out and give you an estimate. A lot will do this at no cost to you, and should be able to bring out some catalogs of different sink and faucet styles for you to look and and decide what you'd like. This will also give them a chance to look and see if there are any additional obstacles that would change the cost of the job (shut off valves that don't work, and other piping issues). FYI, the shop I work for has a rate of $160/hr for labor. In your local area this may be different, and will affect the cost. Plumbing rates across the country fluctuate A LOT. Call around for rates.
Q: My only bathroom has a very old, cheap sink.It feels like hard plastic? Made to appear like yellow/tan marble. It has scratches all over it that ruin the appearance. Is there any type of paint that I could use to refresh/renew it temporarily?Of course, it will have to be paint that stands up to water...TY!
there is not any reason to tile a community that may no longer seen. The plywood decrease than the vanity replaced into no longer neccessary the two. If arrogance replaced into no longer completely put in, i might get rid of it. Being interior the showering room, moisture ought to reason the timber to warp inflicting the vanity to grow to be unlevel. If the vanity is completely put in, do no longer difficulty to plenty bearing directly to the plywood basically make confident it fairly is seal with caulk. sturdy success
Q: What do you think is more appealing? A wooden cabinet with a one piece vanity top for a sink that would double as storage or a pedestal sink made of porcelain and a piece of wooden bathroom furniture that would be the storage unit?
i like the wooden cabinet w/ sink top. it think it's more elegant. can also be rustic, depending on your style.
