- Hi you can repair the sink with a epoxy resin that you can get in many colours. look on line also if you can apply on the underside of the sink. P.S If the damage was accidental you may be covered on your house insurance. You may be better advised to buy a new sink, your eyes will always be drawn to the repair when you use the sink. - drano worked for me. but you could also get the imitations which are cheaper and have basically same ingredients. if it still doesnt work, get a metal hanger and fold it so its like a long rod with a hook. there may be hair in there ir something else preventing the water from going through. pluck out all you can. as a last resort, my dad had to disarm it a bit from under the sink and remove stuff by hand, but that was when the ring when down the sink. either way, first try drano but follow the instructions. then try the clothes hanger. then disarms. if all else fails, search for cheapest plumber around. good luck (:

- Dear luvmyfam: Try running a flexible snake down your drain to dislodge or remove what is obstructing your drain pipe. More often than not matter builds-up at the plumbing tree located in the wall in back of the drain pipe that is usually visible under your sink. If you elect to try this be sure to run water when inserting the snake in to the drain pipe and counter turn it when back it out of the pipe moderately pulling back on it at the same time. The snake I am recommending can be purchase at any home improvement store like Ace Hardware, Home Depot or Lowes for a reasonable price. Or if you find it more to your liking get bids from your local drain services in your community. Best wishes,

- Hi there, You can go to a hardware store and (in the plumbing department) look for something called a sink auger also may be called a sink cleanout. This device is about two feet long and looks like a spring with a hook on the end. There will be instructions on the package but basically you just insert it into the drain and rotate. The hook on the end should loosen the clog or allow you to pull the clog out. If in doubt find a clerk and tell him/her what your problem is and ask for a recommendation. I would not try any of the liquid products that claim to dissolve clogs. Usually they do not work for me. If the sink auger does not work you can remove the p-trap under the sink and usually find something is stopping it up. It will be easy to unclog the trap once it has been removed. Hope this helps, Al

- sounds like the sink valve never was turned back on all the way,try to tighten the screw on the valve the turn it on,or it may be stripped take the knob off (should be Phillips head) and try a pair of pliers to turn it on (don't force it you will strip it) on rare occasion the shutoff valve is defective you will have to get a plumber to replace.whats weird is that you should have hot and cold water valves under the sink one should have worked properly and you should have some kind of pressure.like i said make sure they are both opened all the way..good luck Bill
