Q: Does anyone else have this problem? My bathroom sink smells pretty bad...what can I do to make the smell go away? I clean it regularly but I think the smell is in the piping or something. Please help
Call a plumber to came over and clean your pipes. You might be smelling the back up from the pipes. Good luck
Q: How much is the counter basin?
Hanging cabinet is usually more than 1.6 meters from the ground, too easy to meet, too high space becomes smaller, loaded items will be too small. The basin is typically 75 to 90 cm from the ground.
Q: What is the main wall of the bathroom?
The main wall of the bathroom is not necessarily put basin, which according to your own decoration layout, if your home basin is embedded, then there is a base, the base you can pick their own position, but to look at the base of the long, width. If your pot is not embedded, but fixed on the wall, then the single wall fastness is enough, do not have to be the main wall.
Q: i smell a bad smell form the drain of my sink... i believe the contractor who installed it forgot to block off one of the pipes or something. suggestions on what might be the cause of the bad smell?
i have that problem before. it is caused by bacteria that has formed a biofilm on the pipes. what i did to get rid of the smell is to pour half a gallon of vinegar in there and add some baking soda. leave it overnight and then wash it away.
Q: What is the maximum size of the basin?
There seems to be no such thing!
Q: how to attach a bathroom sink?
what type of bathroom sink? pedestal - mount the basin on the wall at the appropriate height with lag screws, attach plumbing, and slide pedestal in place to hide plumbing marble/composite one piece - latex adhesive caulking on the top edge of cabinet, caulk to wall, attach plumbing in the proper location, it will also help hold it in place cast cowl type (ceramic) set in existing countertop with hole - adhesive tub and tile caulk, let dry before attaching plumbing porcelain bowl - use swing-style sink clamps provided (just like your kitchen stainless sink)
Q: I have tried draino, but I think I need to pull out the drain and remove the hair and stuff. It drains really slow. I don't know if I should call the landlord because it is something small. But I don't know how to remove the drain. do I just pull it straight out? there are no screws or anything, but it doesn't seem to want to budge and I don't want to break it since it isn't really mine. here is a picture of the type of drain I am talking about:http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/3b/Bathroom_sink_drain.jpg
First, remove the stopper. Either it just lifts out (rare) or it is held in place by a rod. Remove the rod by loosening the nut, located in the back of the drain pipe, just below the sink. Once the nut is loose, grab the stopper with one hand and pull the rod out enough to release the stopper. When you pull the stopper out, some hair might come with it. Look down inside the drain and, if there's more hair, grab a piece of wire, make a little hook on the end and pull out the rest of the clog. Reassemble the stopper, which can be a little tricky the first few times, but will work. Tighten the nut and turn the water on. Check for leaks at the nut, tighten a little if necessary. Sometimes teflon tape is required, but not usually. If it still doesn't drain, call the landlord, you've done enough. Good Luck
Q: there like little... and they are like on the top theres usually 3 or just 1... and if you pour water in them.. they smell kinda odd?! but the never seen to pass water?!
Hole In Sink
Q: Basin basin pool fell, and what can be fixed again,
Structural glue. Can make the basin after the basic eternal, unless broken
Q: The water just sits in the sink for hours.
Hi there, You can go to a hardware store and (in the plumbing department) look for something called a sink auger also may be called a sink cleanout. This device is about two feet long and looks like a spring with a hook on the end. There will be instructions on the package but basically you just insert it into the drain and rotate. The hook on the end should loosen the clog or allow you to pull the clog out. If in doubt find a clerk and tell him/her what your problem is and ask for a recommendation. I would not try any of the liquid products that claim to dissolve clogs. Usually they do not work for me. If the sink auger does not work you can remove the p-trap under the sink and usually find something is stopping it up. It will be easy to unclog the trap once it has been removed. Hope this helps, Al
