- Q: Very weird question here. I am petsitting for a family with several cats and dogs. The youngest kitten is living in a bathroom, currently (it is the only small, enclosed, safe place for him to stay until the family returns). Unfortunately, despite his having a clean litterbox, he is constantly pooping in the sink, which is unpleasant for me to deal with--obviously! How can I discourage him from doing this without really disciplining or hurting him in any way? I can't easily put something over the sink that he couldn't pull down and hurt himself with.
- Might be UTI or attitude.
- Q: When ever i wash my hands in our bathroom, the water smells like rotten eggs. I thought the pipes are rusted out or something (old house built 1970) What should i do to make this awful smell go away? Its not clogged or anything, just the water coming out smells horrible...Im trying to stay away from having to re-pipe our bathroom sink because were renting home...thank you!
- I get the same problem every now and again. If the water only smells in your bathroom and not lets say your kitchen, then the smell is probably coming from your drain. Pour 1/2 cup of baking soda down your drain, then pour in boiling water and put plug in sink and let sit 1/2 hourish. This generally clears up any odor. You may have to do this once a month or so, but it's no big deal.
- Q: I cleaned out the Tube under the bathroom sink, there was gunk in there. However when i put the tube back in it's still clogged. I even cleaned the shaft running from the drain to the tube.
- Try cleaning the stopper up above remove the pop up assembly and clean the hair out the hair will pile up in the pop up assembly . Best of luck
- Q: Today I putted on my sink and water was coming out.... And the little center cap that sucks the water in the pipe is flat down not centered and the white pipe is loose and I tried to hold it up the water was goin thourgh the pipe but when I let go the water leaks out again I don't know how to tighten it I don't even know if that's the problem please help...
- Here's what you do: Under the sink at the again facet of the the drain you're going to uncover a lever rod that's connect with the manage you pull to near the pop-up. Where the lever meets the drain is a nut, which holds the lever into the pipe. Put a bucket or anything beneath the lure, keep the lever nonetheless and unscrew the nut. Now take hold of the pop up commute within the most sensible of the sink, raise it out even as doing away with the lever rod from beneath the sink. This will enable the commute to return out. Pull it out slowly, since the enormous lengthy slimy drain fish that is placing off of it's your situation. Clean that nasty mess off the commute, then reinsert it into the drain, even as utilising the lever to maintain it from falling the entire method down. Now your item is to get the lever finish into the gap on the very backside of the commute, then tighten the nut go into reverse, however no longer so tight that you just cannot with no trouble function the pop-up. After all that, which truthfully simplest takes approximately 5 mins, then you'll pour a few boiling water down the drain to eliminate any cleaning soap scum and hair gel that can nonetheless be within the drain. Here's to expertise, Noah
- Q: The water just sits in the sink for hours.
- undo pipe under sink more than likely it is full of hair

- Hi there, You can go to a hardware store and (in the plumbing department) look for something called a sink auger also may be called a sink cleanout. This device is about two feet long and looks like a spring with a hook on the end. There will be instructions on the package but basically you just insert it into the drain and rotate. The hook on the end should loosen the clog or allow you to pull the clog out. If in doubt find a clerk and tell him/her what your problem is and ask for a recommendation. I would not try any of the liquid products that claim to dissolve clogs. Usually they do not work for me. If the sink auger does not work you can remove the p-trap under the sink and usually find something is stopping it up. It will be easy to unclog the trap once it has been removed. Hope this helps, Al
- Q: Bathroom basin cabinet what is good quality
- Wood + ceramics
- Q: What the pipe wrench is suitable for the nuts on the drain below the basin and sink
- You are talking about hexagonal wrench, RIDGID hexagonal jaw design for hexagonal nuts, square nuts, pipe joints and nuts on the valve. Increased opening design of the hexagonal wrench is particularly suitable for the basin and sink under the drain on the nut. Narrow, smooth jaws are suitable for operation in a small space.
- Q: Bathroom desk basin cabinet has 90 centimeters long?
- Certainly have, a lot of shops can be customized, you can go to the local building materials market to ask
- Q: Ill be replacing my bathroom sink. Can anyone share a helpful tips on how to do it?
- Is this a pedestal sink, a drop in sink, or a molded sink? Make sure you have the shut off valves in the off position (top of valve to the right or clockwise to shut off). If your home is an older home and does not have shut off valves (requiring you to shut off water to the entire house or section of home) then by all means install shut off valves before you attempt to install a new sink. You may not need a new faucet, but for the cost of a new one vs replacing your old one I would recommend a new faucet and drain setup. I prefer the white Silicone (plumbers) tape to the goop. For the drain get plumbers putty even if the directions say you can use the gasket paper or cardboard gasket that comes with the new drain. Dry fit everything before you permanently install it especially the PVC or metal drain parts. It is much easier to install the faucet before you drop in the sink or place the modeled counter top sink in place. There are special considerations for a pedestal sink.
