- Q: So my bathroom sink is really clogged. There's a small pool of water in my sink that won't drain at all. I dumped boiling water down the overflow hole but that didn't do anything. I used a plunger on the hole in the sink which still didn't do anything. I've used a bent hanger w/ a hook on the end to get out stuff from it but there's nothing else getting stuck on the hanger. I don't have a snake or anything to use. Is there a way I can get the water to drain at least long enough to get drain-o. And even then, if the water doesn't drain in that time, will drain-o still get through the pipes when there's water in it. Please help me out here. Thank you so much. <3
- If you don't want to deal with the mess of removing the trap, I would just go to a local hardware store & buy THE 10 MINUTE DRAIN CLEANER. It has never failed me. It works way better than Draino, etc.
- Q: What is the height of the bathroom basin?
- If the basin is high, the table height: 750mm, basin height: 180 ~ 220mm. Under the basin, the table is high 860mm, retaining water is high 40mm.
- Q: It's special! D: My mom gave it to me when I was little -______- I never even wear it, and the ONE day I decide to wear it, it falls down the drain. -.- I took it off to wash my hands, and I guess it slipped out of my grip. -.- Anyways, I've prohibited anyone from running the water in that sink until my ring is retrieved. I wanted to try and fix it myself, but I was too scared to twist/turn any of the knobs under my sink. I've seen it in the movies where all the water comes shooting out,and I don't want taht to happen to me... WHAT TO DO?!
- Look underneath the sink for the drain pie, where it has a U, loosen withchannel locks and it will be there
- Q: Home wash basin of the faucet no water, want to repair, is to find someone to repair it?
- If the above three cases are not, you can go to the nearby hardware store advice, the general good point of the shop, there will be water and electricity workers can provide services
- Q: Taiwan mirror height is generally how much
- General wash basin is 800 cm high - 900 cm, 200 cm higher than the table top ----- 300 cm just fine. The above generally not more than 1800 cm - 1900 cm. Mirror size also has a relationship, the mirror can be small With your own height adjustment.
- Q: I have tried draino, but I think I need to pull out the drain and remove the hair and stuff. It drains really slow. I don't know if I should call the landlord because it is something small. But I don't know how to remove the drain. do I just pull it straight out? there are no screws or anything, but it doesn't seem to want to budge and I don't want to break it since it isn't really mine. here is a picture of the type of drain I am talking about:http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/3b/Bathroom_sink_drain.jpg
- The best thing that I can advise you to do, is to remove the drain pipe under the sink, where the elbow is. Make sure that you have a bucket underneath it. It can get quite messy. Clean out the elbow part of the drain pipe, that is where the clog usually is. Also, take something long to get up where the drain stop is and clean that. Then just put everything together. Good Luck! P.S. This is what I do if I don't want to bug my landlord. C
- Q: 304 stainless steel basin why there will be rust at the bottom
- Stainless steel is not never rusty, but also a long time.
- Q: Our bathroom sink is leaking where the trap meets the pipe that goes into the wall. How can we tell what size the pipe is? What special tools (if any) are needed? Thank you.
- Well either your trap needs replacing or the fitting it is threaded into in the wall needs to be replaced. I have done this and you might have a LITTLE difficulty if you need to replace the fitting that goes into the wall. If you cannot unscrew it with a PIPE WRENCH or similar tool then try heating up the fitting with a propane torch. Be careful not to start a FIRE to any SURROUNDING areas. Just go to a Lowes or Home depot or better yet a well stocked Plumbing supply house for replacement parts. Piece of cake/it just takes a little time and patience. Buy some quality teflon paste for the threads before threading them together.
- Q: Our bathroom sink faucet handles only turn 1/4 turn, and work fine that way. But, when fixing a leak, I turned it too hard, and something broke, so now it will turn all the way around. And, because it turns all the way around, it won't unscrew to come off to fix the next leak. What did I break and how would I get it off now?
- turn off water underneath the sink - there are two small cutoff valves called stops. Get a lavatory wrench about $8 to access the nuts under the sink.; these make the job easier. Unhook the hot and cold supply lines, usually brass or rubber. Loosen the nuts that hold the faucet assembly to the sink. Disconnect the popup valve (drain stopper) if it has one. Now, lift the faucet off of the sink and you can access the handle to remove. Find replacement handles, but if the faucet is very old and not an antique, just get a new one that fits your sink. Cost ranges from $20.00 to $100 or more, depending on how fancy you want.
- Q: kitchen sinkbathroom sink or shower? :)
- Bathroom sink, although I have brushed them in the shower before.
