- Q: Car Audi A4 number of more than 40,000 a little in the suburbs when driving a little bit of what is a tire torn out can not drive the insurance company tube? The
- Tires can be returned to the general three-line drum package and tires without flawed, puncture will not fall back
- Q: How to tie a car tire?
- Nails and hammers can be, you can nail nail on a small board, put his car when the rolling over the place, so that his own bar.
- Q: Are the tires on this particualr car all-season? Anyone have this vehicle?
- i exploit in undemanding words Michelin tires and that is what I positioned on my Tiburon (also got here with Michelin tires). With alignment and tires i did not spend that a lot, $1200 is thanks to intense I spent about $800 for all and that blanketed some more effective paintings. you pick to bypass observing tire places. i'm getting mine at Tire Barn and there are different places it truly is nice. you are able to positioned any variety of tires on the vehicle you want.
- Q: Hi, my car has 245 / 50 / 16 tires. If I get 245 / 45 / 16 tires will those work just as well? I need new tires and someone is selling rims/tires of that sizeWhat does the difference mean?
- the 245 / 45 /16 will have a little skinnier sidewall, which will help a bit with handling.
- Q: I just found a nail stuck in the tire of my truck. It‘s down, between the tread, not in the thicker part. It‘s not losing air so should I leave it alone or should I pull the nail and plug the tire. Also, if I plug the tire, does that shorten the life span of the tire?
- The tyre will deflate over time anyway, I'd get it repaired but this should not shorten the life of it, also if the nail is stuck near the edge of the tread area then you'll be looking at a new tyre. Using the tyres centre line as a reference, tyres are only repairable on 75% of the tread area with the centre line in the middle. Regardless of what some people may say, the patches are perfectly safe.
- Q: TIRE UPGRADE
- Well transmission is what makes a car go different speeds with gears. Automatic means you don't have to shift, where manual means you have to shift manually. Jeez O Peets Couldn't figure that one out. HA nice mustache to the guy above me.
- Q: Question, one of my tires was destroyed (huge hole from hitting a rock or something, can't be repaired). My question is, I can't find the same brand tire as the one I had, so I have to go with a different brand than the other 4 tires on my car. Does this matter at all? 1 tire will be a different brand than the other tires but the tire will obviously fit the car (according the the size, width, etc. on the other tires). So does brand make that much of a difference if it's only the one tire? It's my front right tire. It's a 4 door Sedan.
- If you have an all-wheel drive car, all four tires really should match. Apart from that, if you're a conservative driver (i.e., no aggressive cornering, etc.) the mismatch shouldn't be too much of a problem. Try to keep the mismatched pair on the rear to minimize any effect on steering.
- Q: just 14 weeks pregnant and feeling very very tired
- it's normal. You will pretty much feel tired for the rest of your life, until your kids grows up and moves out and has a stable job and doesn't need you to worry about them. Good luck
- Q: I know you can adjust tire by increasing the first number and decreasing the aspect ratio, and vice versa. I have a 1990 Oldsmobile Cutlass International with 215/60-16 tires. I‘ve heard that 205/65-16 works, is there a way of telling how it will work properly, so long as it fits? Also, I was told that the first number is how wide your tire is and the second is the percentage of width as height. Does that mean the width as how far the tire goes into your vehicle, or if you were to take a tape and go across from one tread across the wheel/rim to the other tread? Is height from the tread to where the tire touches the wheel/rim? I don‘t really understand how you can adust one number higher and lower the other to keep the same speedometer/odometer readings and stuff. How would a shorter tire register the same speed just because it is fatter? I apologize if I‘m speaking ignorantly, I just cannot understand how this works. :)
- The 1st number is the tire tread width, not the width of the rim. The 2nd number is the side wall height as a %age of the tread width as measured from the ground to the bottom edge of the tire rim with the tire off the ground. Most speedometer errors are less than 3% error when changing tires sizes with the same rim diameter Going from 215/60-16 tires to a 205/65-16 will cause your speedometer to read 1.3% slower than your actual speed. If your speedometer says 60 mph, you are actually traveling at 60.8 mph. Speedometer accuracy is really tied to the circumference of the tire, not the fatness of tire. When you adjust tire sizes, the closer to the circumference you are to the stock tires from the car manufacturer, the accuracy of your speedometer will be maintained. Otherwise, you have to change the speedometer gear in the tailpiece of the transmission. The speedometer is calibrated to the circumference of the tire and thus the revolutions per mile. When your tire is is shorter (not as tall) than stock tires, the circumference is less so the tires have to make more revolutions per mile, thus the speedometer reads faster than your actual speed.
- Q: what is the correct 17inch alloy wheel air pressure size. cos i put 32 in each tyre. it low profile tyre
- Do not look for the RECOMMENDED inflation pressure on the sidewall of the tire. All you will find there is the MAXIMUM inflation pressure the tire is rated for. That could be considerably higher than what you actually need and overinflation can lead to premature wear, a lousy ride and make the tire more susceptible to damage. Since you don't give a year/make/model of vehicle or a complete description of the tire size (dimensions AND service description) an exact recommendation is absolutely impossible. If these tires are the original equipment size, meaning they are the same size and service description as the tires originally put on at the factory then go by the vehicle manufacturers recommendations for air pressure. This can be found on the vehicle information tag usually located inside the drivers side door frame or on the inside of the glovebox door. If these are + sized wheels and tires (car originally had 13, 14, 15 or 16-inch wheels and tires) you may need to drastically alter the air pressure from the original recommendations to compensate for differences in load carrying capacity. Low-profile tires can not carry as heavy a load as larger profile tires and thus need to be inflated to higher pressures to compensate. If that is the case, again, I need year/make/model, original tire size with service description (example: 185/65R14 86S, not just 185/65/14), original recommended inflation pressure with that size from the vehicle info tag and what the new tire size and service description are. Since there are probably a hundred or more different low-profile 17-inch tire sizes we need more specifics. Me: Working in the tire industry for the last 5 years.
