Q: Do vehicle tyres have a sell-by date, and how would a customer know whether the tyres being fitted to their vehicle have not been degrading over years in the depot?
Vehicle tires have raised numbers that indicate when they were manufactured. Tires last 6-10 years after the date of manufacture, if they do not wear out or get punctured.
Q: car tyres
A shorter tire drops top speed but helps acceleration. A wider tire helps cornering in dry weather, but a thin tire is better for snow and sand because it cuts through the material instead of driving over it. Changing tire height is similar to changing gear ratios, taller tires take less rpm to achieve a given speed so gas mileage can go up, but its similar to having a tall gear ratio which can kill take off acceleration. Low profile tires help cornering because the tire wall is shorter and stiffer so they don't flex during cornering.
Q: Im planning on buying tires to my whip.right now im thinking what tires to buy.yokohama, falken, toyo, kumho.so which ones i should buy and y?????im loooking for some sports tires.n what the websites where i can get tires for decent price???thx
use westleys blech-wite you can get it at auto-zone or any other of those car part stores. it does wonders turns brown letters completly white and it cleans anything else off the black tred as well.
Q: Just found out my tire had a nail in it and need to find a place that will do it reliably. Any suggestions?
Just about any tire shop will patch your tire. They will remove the tire and patch it from the inside. Keep in mind they can only patch it if its in the tread if its on the shoulder or sidewall you will need a new tire.
Q: what causes a tire to pop?
you may have simply hit a big rock causesing a brealk in the steel nbelts the tire swells there into a bump and then it maygo bang for no reason . relax grip the steering wheel tightly take your foot off the gas and ease your car to the shoulder. make no sudden steering moooves as you can roll your tire off its rim causeing damge to your tire rim
Q: Such as 175 / 70R14
Tire is an important part of the car, there are more than 10 kinds of markers on the car tires, the correct identification of these markers on the tire matching, use, maintenance is very important for the protection of traffic safety and extend tire life is of great significance. Tire Specifications: Specifications are tire geometric parameters and physical properties of the logo data. Tire specifications are often used in a set of numbers, the previous number indicates the width of the tire section, and the latter number indicates the rim diameter in inches. The middle of the letter or symbol has a special meaning: "x" that high-pressure tire; "R", "Z" said radial tire; "a" that low-pressure tire. Level: level refers to the tire layer as a plastic layer of the number of layers, and the actual number of ply is not exactly the same, is an important indicator of tire strength. Level with the Chinese logo, such as 12 levels; with the English logo, such as "14P.R" that is 14 layers of pole. Cylindrical material: Some tires are individually marked, such as "nylon" (NYLON), generally marked after the level; the world's tire manufacturers marked in the specifications, with the first letter of the Chinese alphabet, such as 9: 00-20N , 7.50-20G, etc., N for nylon, G for steel, M for cotton, and R for rayon. Load and pressure: the general mark the maximum load and the corresponding pressure, the load to "kg" as a unit, the pressure that tire tire pressure, the unit is "kPa." Rim Size: Indicates the rim size that matches the tire. Easy to use.
Q: toyota said i need new tires 2 of the tires are 1‘s? and the other 2 are 3‘s?
I am to assume that you are referring to 32nds of an inch if so yes they are bad, federal regulations on tires is 3/32 and 1/32 is just plain bald you should be able to check your self as tires have whats called a tread bar, its in-between the tread and if that bar is even with your tread then replace your tires. other then brakes your tires are very important.
Q: Im tired of trying : (YOu ?
im tired of society in general. too many rules im just gonna go nuts and break every social norm and laugh at everyones shocked faces.
Q: WInter Tires: do we pay extra to change back to all-season tires after winter?Do we need to buy 4 tires or only 2 for front wheel drive cars?
It's not absolutely necessary to buy an extra set of rims for your snow tires, but the convenience factor is something to be considered. You can also save a bit of time and money when changing tires for summer and winter if you have a spare set of wheels
Q: I bought a ‘97 Mitsubishi 3000GT with Yokohama tires. Apparently tho the tires were mounted backwards, i.e. the arrows on the tires showing which way the tire should roll when driving foward are pointing to the rear of the car instead of forward. This was pointed out to me by a mechanic also. So is this a big safety issue? I assume to change the tires back to the way they‘re supposed to be would make things worse? Thanks for any help.
all you need at this point is a tire rotation,,this should out them back the way they should be,,there probably not hurt any ,,as far as wear goes,,hope this help,s.
