Pattern Charcteristics:
1. Streamline directional pattern
Excellent water evacuation to break the water film and improve wet performance. Good high speed stability and good braking performance
2.Central rib Silient wall and pitch arrangement
Central reduces the friction between the rubber moleculars to decrease energy and hence reduce rolling resistance.
3.Special shoulder block grooves
The specail design with sipes at the shoulder block effectively reduces the shoulder heat generation and resonance during tire rolling.
4.wide longitude grooves
4 wide longitudinal grooves to enhance water evactuation on wet roads, prevent side slips and improve traction bu well-designed angle.
5.Anti-unenen-wear shoulder strip
2 anti-uneven-wear strips at the shoulder in order to stabilize tire profile and ensure sufficient shoulder support and stability at high speed cornering.

- Q: What are the best tires?
- The correct size is P235/50R17 96W. I have not personally sampled the ADVAN S.4 but Yokohama is a good brand and it should be a good tire. I have to ask though, why would you want an all-season tire on just the rear on a 350Z anyway? The Yokohama tire to have in this application would be the ADVAN Sport maximum performance summer tire or hte S.Drive. Goodyear also makes the highly regarded Eagle F1 (which I can guarantee will not last forever) or you could certainly go with another set of the Bridgestone Potenza's that came on the car. Cooper I do not believe make a tire for this application - so much for the guy who recommended those
- Q: Do vehicle tyres have a sell-by date, and how would a customer know whether the tyres being fitted to their vehicle have not been degrading over years in the depot?
- the tires do have a date on them it kind of like this 2224 means 22 weeks of 2004.i saw it on the internet where some tire business will sell these old unused tires as brand new ones and the older they are the most likely your gonna have some problems, like tire blow outs from tire just pretty much fall apart.it was said the some of the major stores like sears was one.hate to mention them but it was said and interviewed, but there s others.you have to know where your looking for the numbers.it s in a oval rectangular with some numbers,i believe it s the last numbers that will tell you the year it was made.as for sell by date they do have so many years but not more than 2 yrs but i could be wrong.best thing you can do call a tire manufacture and ask them about it and how to look at brand new tires on the made date.it s your money and your life.
- Q: anybody know a good reference source that shows the calculations to find the biggest diameter tires to put on any given car without changing the specs that affect steering/cornering/driveability?
- Tire size will have no affect on camber and caster. It does not matter if you have a 20 tire or a 60 tire the camber and caster will always be the same. The only thing that would change with tire size is the toe setting but it would be a very small difference unless you were changing tire height by like 6 or more.
- Q: how would one know the age of a tire, like most things have a time that the item expaire,do tires ?? i had a tire that came apart on the hiway last year.
- there is no set expiration date on tires , all you can do is inspect them for dry rot ( cracks on the surface of the sidewall and the tread )
- Q: When shopping for tires, I take note of the rating (eg. 100,000 km, 120,000 km etc.) which presumably tells me how far the tires can take me before they need to be replaced. (In the USA, I would see 50,000 mi. etc.)Of course actual wear would vary depending upon weather, road conditions, tire rotations etc.but let‘s pretend I drive in a perfect world which gives me maximum mileage for my tire dollar.Mechanics recommended that I replace my tires when the tread depth is 5mm or less, and at 2mm it is too dangerous or even illegal to drive on them.I was just at a tire store and a brand new tire‘s tread depth seems to average between 9mm and 10mm.When tire manufacturers rate their tires for a given mileage (eg. 100,000 km) do they mean that in a perfect world, if the tread began at 10mm, when my tires are at 2mm tread depth I should have been able to drive 100,000 km.?But if I replace my tires at 5mm, then I really can get only 62,500 km out of them. Do I have all this right?
- you will almost definitely have to remove the rear wheel (not tyre, but entire wheel) if it has a double sided swingarm, I believe this model does. This isn't too hard if you just bump it on the centre stand then its only a few bolts and it comes out. No jacking up malarkey required :) Drums are quite simple, shouldn't be a problem
- Q: I live in CT and I want to get 4 new tires for my 95 toyota camry, do you suggest snow tires or all season tires, can I use the snow tires during the summer, what is the actual difference
- i would recommend that at least put 2 snow tires on the front and a good set of all season on the back, but make sure you take off the snow tires in the spring/summer. the rubber compound of the snow tire will cause them to start wearing faster on warmer roads. plus check with local laws, some areas require them to be off your vehicle by a certain date
- Q: my front left driver side tire, has a very very small bubble/bump on it??? what should i do!
- Why don't you try doing a simple one like which melts faster ice with salt or plain ice. I Tried and got an A+!!!!!!
- Q: I know how to check my tires to see how old they are but how long is the shelf life of the tire? Does it vary from manufacturer to manufacturer? Does the quality of the tire make a difference? $75 tire VS $150 tire?
- Experts warn that tires more than six years old can fail catastrophically and yes the quality varies from each manufacturer............. A $75.00 tire made by a brand name company can be better than a $150.00 tire made by some off brand company.
- Q: I want to be tired cuz I have to wake up early and I don‘t want to be tired then
- If you don't want to wake up tired, I suggest you get a good-nights rest. Don't eat, watch tv, use a computer, or listen to music. Dim the lights and do slow activities like knitting. Or just lie in bed. You'll eventually feel tired enough to sleep.
- Q: I need to buy all season tires, and I want to get fatter tires in the back..but I've never bought tires before.
- tires are now rated as follows (tread with in mm)/(ratio of side wall hight to tread width in%)(r standing for radial)(rim hight in inches) example a 195/55r15 has a tread width if 195mm a side wall hight of 55% of 195mm (or 107.25mm) and a rim size of 15". if you have a 14" time the last number in the tires size must be 14 (not 13 and not 15) if you want wider tires on the back then the front then get tires for the back where the first number is higher and the second number is smaller (to keep the overall diamiter of the tire the same) lets say you have 14" rims you will probibly want a 195/75r14 for the front and a 225/65r14 for the back (these sizes may not be avalible I am just giving and example) for all seasons try to get mastercraft tires they are pretty good in the snow and rain. just dont go for th echeapest tires.
