- I personally would not buy Cooper tires. I had Cooper all terrain tires on a truck and they were not round, constantly lumpy even at low speeds on smooth pavement (not a balance problem). I got Cooper all weather tires as warranty replacements and they always felt dangerous (poor traction even on dry pavement), would lock up all too easily, and my anti-lock brakes would release, greatly extending stopping distance. When those wore out I put Pirelli Scorpions on that truck, which were smooth riding and had excellent traction even in deep snow, when they did not look like snow tires. Although, about any brand of tires have some models that are good and some that are not.

- Thin Tyres are actually their aspect ratio, in technical terms. They have a very low profile Tyre-wall,i.e., their side height. That gives them enough Cornering and handling to support the in-built Electronic PowerSteering. In a nutshell, Low Profile Better rigidity of tyre, resulting in better handling! But these tyres offer low comfort levels, that's why they are not used in general all-purpose cars. But Rally cars have tuned-suspensions, which make these tyres feasible to use in performance standards.

- I usually go to Sears or Wal-Mart. You can go to either companies website and type in your car information and they will show you what tires they have available. Best quality would probably be the name brands like Dunlap, BF Goodrich, Michelin, Goodyear, Firestone, etc. I've had good luck with the Douglas tires (cheap line) from Wal-Mart. They have lasted as long as more expensive brands that I have tried. The websites will show you pricing for the tire and then each place has a charge for new valvestems, mounting and balancing, etc. Depending on the size that price might be ok.

- I use the front brake, exactly as guardrailjim described. If I have to sit there a bit, I'll hold with the rear brake and relax my arms. (Neutral, watching the mirror) At my warning to get ready to move, I swap. I don't usually sit in neutral unless it's a long wait and my back isn't totally exposed. I love having two-finger operable levers.

- sidewall repair? doubtful that it will stay AND has a higher risk of bursting the sidewall, now that it's compromised. Best begin looking for a new tire.
