Q: I moved into a home with pre-wired speakers. There is a bundle of speaker wire coming out of the wall. Each wire has 4 colors of other wire coming out of it. There are a total of 7 main wires (with four wires each) and a total of 9 speakers.
i had a cable like that, 4 wire but two clamps on speaker. what i did was have the red and black wire.. and then just connect another wire to that, making sure you connect the same wire on both ends.. eg: red with green and black with blue... color varies.. but you get the point..
Q: Peugeot Speedfight 2, How can i find out what colour wire is fuel? indicators? .. Would it all be shown on the wiring diagram?
most bikes use the same wiring system... 50% anyway Black=Common Negative Red= Ignition Positive Grey= Ignition Kill Black+White=Ignition Kill (Ground) Green+Yellow=Ground Yellow= left indicator Yellow + Stripe= right indicator I recommend going on OKorder and asking a seller offering bike alarms for a wiring diagram for your bike, they will have them 99% of the time (it would be wrong if i sugested you tell them you bought an alarm from them in the past... as a reason for them to e-mail you a diagram - dont do that ;-) cgi.OKorder .uk/CYCLONE-MOTORBIKE-...
Q: I plugged in my new Pioneer DEH-P6500it worked for a little bit until i moved it around a littlethe speakers started to go out but the subs still sounded finei messed around with it and found the wire responsible for it allits a red wireit says AAC or somethingif i messed with the copper twist the speakers would come in and outi stripped the wire a little and put it back together but now the head unit wont even turn onand im also left with like 2 inches of red wireis my only option to get a new pioneer wire harness?what is the problem?the red wire i think supplies the power to the whole head unit because when its not connected, the whole thing turns onbut only the speakers go on and off when i messed with itbut it wont turn on anymore
You may have blown a fuse. Check the fuse on the back of the radio and your car fuse for the radio.
Q: I am planning to wire my single sub 400rms svc to my amplifier 400rms x 1 @4 ohms. My car model is 94 mitsubishi lancer. how many AWG ( gauge) should I use? Like for Power, ground, speaker wire. I just want to have the full potential of my sub and ampli. For my 2nd question: if I decided to put a 2nd sub wired it on the same amp making it 800rms x1 @ 2 ohms. (my amplifier is a class d mono 1600 watt peak by the way) should I need to use a capacitor?Thank you

Q: home, thermostat, wiring
green wire is 24 volts from the t-stat to the indoor fan relay, i promise! unless it's a trane. trane has their own wiring codes and i don't remember trane wiring at this time. i can look it up but don't want to. green goes to the indoor fan relay, for real. the fan relay energizes 110 volts and turns the indoor fan on. be careful jacking around with that stuff. remember, you have low voltage from the transformer and t-stat and high voltage everywhere else. the outside stuff is 220 volts. ZZZZZZZZZZZZ!
Q: dont know which wires are which, trying to install after market stereo

Q: I have a ceiling fixture outlet which has 4 wires coming out (red, black, white and uninsulated ground). There is only one light switch that controls it. I wanted to attach a light fixture to connect to that, but the light fixture only has 3 wires (red, white and green - ground). How do I connect this light fixture to the 4 wires?
Canada and the USA Usually the Red wire in the cieling outlet is controlled by the switch. The Black wire in the cieling outlet should be live all the time. Cap the black wire off with the proper size wire nut. The white wire in the cieling outlet is the common wire. The bare wire in the cieling outlet is the ground wire. it should be attached directly to the metal ground screw in the outlet. The green wire on the light fixture must be connected to the ground screw in the cieling outlet. Connect the white wire on the light fixture to the white wire in the cieling outlet Connect the red wire on the light fixture to the red wire in the cieling outlet. If this does not work, whoever did the wiring did not follow convention. Interchange the red and black cieling outlet wires: Connect the red wire on the light fixture to the black wire in the cieling outlet. Cap off the red wire in the cieling outlet with the proper sized wire nut.
Q: what are the limitations of international wire transfer
Usally 3% foren plus bank wire fee included
Q: what size of wire do i need and is the new fuse box/trip box kept in garage.or where can i get wiring diagrams from
Lots of wrong answers. Don't take electrical advise from untrained and unqualified people. Is the wire overhead or direct buried? Either way, there are underground rated, direct burial, splice kits made that will splice the wires without the need for a box. They are a set screw terminal aluminum tube with 2 pieces of heat shrink tubing. Buy them at a electrical supply warehouse. One for each conductor. Tell them what you are doing so you get the correct ones. They must be rated for wet locations. So must your wire. I assume you are using a XHHW type wire for direct burial or a THWN for inside buried conduit? Your number 3 copper wire is large enough for 100 amps with no problem at 100 feet. Article 310.16 for the rest of you. You will need to drive a ground rod at the garage and connect it with a number 6 copper wire, and bond the neutral and ground together in the panel the same as in your house. You will need to do this before January 1st when the new national electric code takes effect. In the 2008 code you will need to run a 4 wire feeder to the sub panel in the garage. Your installation will comply with the 2005 National Code. State and local codes may vary. If you need more help, email me.
Q: Hey can some1 help me, on my lamp i have a White, a Yellow wire with tints of green in it and a black wire. on my cord that i am going to plug in is a Blue, brown and a yellow wire
Run a continunity check on the cord from the brown and blue wires to the blades on the plug. The brown should go to the wider blade, but could be other way around. Then the yellow wires go together. The one (brown or blue) from the wider blade goes to the black one from the lamp. The other one goes to the white wire.
