- Q: O.k. so I burnt my sofa cushions while I was appmtping to move some lit candles. There is no name of the manufacturer on the sofa (I checked). Is there somewhere I can go that will match the fabric?
- I looked on the bottom of the sofa and found a piece of material @ 1 square and snipped it down in size some then I kind of rolled it up and inserted it into the new burn hole, opened it up with a ice pick to flatten it back out and glued it into place.

- Well, there are many ways to clean it, but I don't know if there is a good fix for this. You can clean it with a leather cleaner and then set a bomb inside/under it for the fleas/mites/ticks, but I don't know about any smells that might remain after that. It's a start though.

- Generally you would reupholster if the furniture has good bones and is functional. Since the sofa is broken, I don't think it fits in the good bones category. If it is too large for your small apartment, I am also questioning its functionality. I think you shouldn't waste time and money reupholstering. I think its just time to call your son and ask him if he'd be so kind as to come pick up the sofa he dropped off.

- i have the Ektorp sofa with the pull-out queen size bed. the heaviest part of the entire sofa is the pull out bed because it is a metal frame. the ektorp sofa comes in three parts (well at least the sectional i got) and if you were moving it alone i can tell you it's very easy. one good healthy person can move the three sections on their own. two people is always fun

- Are you sure you don't want to go with a darker wall color? I'm afraid your beige sofa will get lost against a sandy brown wall. How about a chocolate wall color? I know it sounds dark, but it can be beautiful if brightened up with white trim and beige or off-white fabrics on furniture. To brighten the room even more, select an accent color. I love using a pretty red/burgandy with this color scheme. Next, you have 2 ways you can approach this: 1) Select all your fabrics first (pillows, furniture, etc.) and then choose a rug that will bring out one of those colors. 2) Select a rug you like and then use the color(s) in it to select your fabrics. If you have hardwoods and use an area rug, find a patterned rug. This can be anywhere from contemporary to a traditional depending upon your tastes. If you are going wall-to-wall, I would go with a shade darker than your sofa and lighter than the walls. Again, you don't want your furniture to get lost against your flooring or wall finishes.

- there is a nut under the bent leg, attached to the frame. Drilling another hole probably won't work. You have nothing to lose, so try to bend the leg back into position. if that doesn't help, you can gut the leg off with a hack saw, and buy another leg and bracket to fit.

- best bet is a flea market. I found mine at a flea market. I LOVE my sofa..its 7 feet long, olive green, really low and it came with a matching chair. I got both for one hundred dollars. The only thing is..its old.. but it was in fabulous shape and it is retro. And it stunk. haha, i left it on my front porch to air out for a week, then I put it in my house and it got my live in smell. I wouldnt part with it for anything. Plus i got a bunch of throw pillows and it adds punches of color. I get compliments on my set all the time. I swear, its a one of a kind.
