Q: What kind of carpet do you use in the office?
The box office of the assembled carpet carpet, it is a popular, small size specifications it is generally 500mmX500mm, construction convenient and efficient for customers to replace, because each precise size, no matter which piece is damaged or contaminated, can immediately remove the cleaning or replacement, then recover. Long service life, overall effect elegant, style, concise.
Q: Hi. We're currently redoing our spare bedroom complete with new carpet, new paint, and new molding. We've ripped up the old carpet and removed the old molding from the walls. We plan to paint next weekend. My question is, do we install the new molding before or after the new carpet is installed (in about two weeks after painting is done)? Which is the best way to go?
You will need to install carpet first then the molding. Look at other rooms in your house and you will understand
Q: Besides vacuuming, how do you maintain white carpeting? Personally I have found that using a storebought steamer makes my carpets look dingier. A person I knew at one time told me about a dry cleaning method using some kind of powder. She told me she rented the equipment and it only cost about thirty dollars. I've researched this and don't have any idea where to go. Links to more info. would be helpful.
Kirby vacuum with shampooer kit, works miracles on my white carpet.
Q: i put a very hot pot on a carpet
first off , WHY ?? , you need to have some of the same carpet , cut out the bad carpet ( you need to cut it out between the row's ) then do the same with the piece that you are going to put in ( make sure that it's the same size ) then silicone the edges on both pieces and let it dry , next put double face tape down on top of the pad ( if glued down skip this step ) then you need to use seam glue on all edges , next carefully put in the new piece and roll it with a tractor (carpet tool ) then set something heavy on top of it and let it dry over night and roll it with the tractor again.
Q: Or do I take it to a cleaners?
I would take it to a cleaners unless you find a very informative video online about it, like a how-to or step by step.
Q: how to deal with the open side of the woven carpet?
The resilience of the blanket directly affects the comfort of the carpet, the bottom lining is not easy to leak out, the better the flexibility. The greater the density, to see whether the bottom liner comes out. Generally you can fold the carpet back to back in the selection of carpet
Q: got new carpet it stained does they carpet have warranty? and they damaged my walls mad them dirty made wholes and chipped off the paint
They should warranty it if the carpet itself has a stain blocker warranty. Not all carpets do. Check your paper work for the type you have. Any good company will have given you paper work on the stain properties. Damage to the walls will fall on the installers shoulders. Take pictures and start complaining ASAP. Empire should contact the installers and make them pay for it. And your salesperson will handle the warranty work as far as filing a claim. Don t give in if it brand new and has a warranty. Most carpet warranties go from 5/7/10+ years and go on a pro rated basis if the carpet is older than a year. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar. GL
Q: How do I avoid over-charge by the carpet company as a reuslt of over-measure the room size? I have two rooms, room I is 10'6'' by 29'2quot;. Room II size is 11'8quot; by 12' 10quot;, with a closet size 7' by 2'4quot;. The carpet comes in width of 12'. How many sq ft do I need to order the carpet for room I and room II? For room I, the carpet size, without adding any buffer space for edge trimming, is 12' * 29'2quot; = 356 sq ft. For room II, the carpet size, without adding any buffer space for edge trimming, is 12' * 12'10quot; = 154 sq ft. The room II closet is 12 * 2'4'' = 28 sq ft. How many add'l sq ft do I need to add to allow buffer for trimming in each room? ThanksSM
I spent 3 years being a flooring specialist and the carpet company should be willing to sit down with you and show you the different ways you can place your carpet. You will be purchasing the entire width x the length you need. Seeing how both of your rooms will work with a 12' carpet seeming shouldn't be a question. Seams at closet doors are common and acceptable. In general you can figure about a 5 to 10% waste-in your case 5% probably is more than adequate. There isn't a whole lot of extra needed for trimming purposes because carpet is streched when it is installed. I don't think I have ever sold more than one linear foot of extra unless there are doorways or seriously uneven walls to consider. Home Depot and Lowes will give you a copy of their measure and cut sheet as do most carpet companies. If they aren't willing to show you exactly what you are buying-don't buy.
Q: I was painting my nails this morning with bright pink nail varnish and i dropped it and it splashed all over my cream carpet, bed and white draws i have sorted the bed and staws out but the carpet is left!i have tried nail varnish remover but it smudged it! would 1001 work? what else?
To remove nail polish from carpets, nail polish remover will work but you need to use caution because it can also remove dye from your carpet or upholstery. You can try and bleach your carpet, but only if you have a white carpet. also; You can remove nail polish stain of a fabric, carpets, and counter tops using Motsenbocker's Lift Off #3. We tried it on our quilt an it made the nail polish stain just disappear, like magic! You can purchase it at any hardware store. We purchased it at The Home Depot for about $6.00. It also removes permanent ink and marker stains.
