Q: What color of the carpet looks good with yellow sofa?
When the walls are in dark colour, and the several cushions are pale blue. But gold and silver generally can not exist at the same time, the pattern depends on its color rendering. generally yellow sofa should better match with carpet in dark color, such as emerald green and brown. never choose dark green tiles. This kind of color is suitable for the people with lively characters, because the coffee and hoary ground appears especially fresh with pure white sofa , having a expending and non tranquil visual impression. One of the most delicate color. black matches with bright and light-reflecting furnitures, gorgeous furniture matches with milky white. the main point is to manage the contrast level, you must use the same color scheme for ground and furniture; if there is a family of three members, you can decorate different rooms into different styles, making the house lively, but if the living room and dining room are linked together, it is considered as one room: a room should have no more than three kinds of colors, black is not counted.yellow sofa and dark furnitures should match with almost same color like orange, use natural light to create rich gradation; if it is not used in home, it adds a bit lively to the room , this is not absolute, clear white and gray walls are especially suitable for young people in the new era. while natural plant shape and color. if it is in the warm color tone, you can use black and deep blue carpet, it feels quiet. jewelry cabinets can be placed flower. .
Q: Will skateboarding on carpet ( or maybe anyhting) with just the skateboard deck ,( no wheels, trucks), improve the actual tricks on the real thing? Thanks.
First off, the I feel carpet boarding has some merit, even without trucks and wheels. It will definitely help you get the feel for having a board under your feet. It's also very helpful when trying to learn spin tricks (like shuvits and big spins). Having no wheels, you wont have the same friction you would on the street (no wheels to rub against the concrete), but you will be able to learn what it is you need to do to spin the board (and build some confidence after landing on it). Carpet-boarding wont help much with pop-type tricks (ie ollies, kickflips, etc). Sure some of us can do those tricks on decks on the carpet, but it's definitely _nothing like doing it with trucks and wheels (it's actually a lot harder on carpet). Carpet also wont help a whole lot with your balance on the street, even with wheels. With just a deck, you'll be sliding all over the place. With trucks and wheels, the carpet effectively stops your wheels from sliding out from under you, and hence, doesnt require your to keep your weight distributed the same way as you would on concrete.
Q: My sister-in-law gave us a lovely rug as a house warming gift 10 years ago. I prefered using the old wash and rinse method of cleaning it. It wasn't anything very expensive but it was, is, lovely.I lifted it to wash and store away for the summer but was saddened to see a thick layer of yellow dust like stuff exactly where the rug was laying. It seems the bottom layer of the rug has aged and is crumbling away into dust.Is there anything I can do to save it?
Is this a tufted carpet? It may be the glue disintegrating. Depending on the rug, usually there's not much you can do which would be cost effective. Sometimes you can re-latex the back, but this is quite a project... Tufted rugs are really meant to be disposable
Q: There's nothing to say about the carpet at the end of the bed
Clean dust-proof. The carpet carpet surface for intensive pile structure, by pile carpet adsorption the fate of dust from the air, preventing fugitive dust, relatively reduce the dust content in the air, keep indoor air clean.
Q: I have a plain, off-white area rug that I want to dress up a little. I got the idea from a home improvement show where they used paint for the same purpose, but I don't remember the details such as what kind of paint they used or how they were able to completely cover the area desired without having the paint bleed into the rest of the rug. Anyone done this before? Tips?
I think you should use dye instead of paint. It is a rug after all....
Q: cats knocked oil lamp on carpet, contents spilled
You did not mention if the result was ONLY (which is bad) a soiled spot or did it result in delamination... (the carpet coming up into a ripple type look)... Normally.. I say normally.. Spilled lamp oil, baby oil, or too much solvent applied to any carpet, will cause delamination. This can only be repaired from the back or by injecting new adhesive into the carpet's backing. If it does not show effects of delamination, you might try two things.. rubbing with HOT soapy water.. if not workilng, try usisng denture cleaner on the spot(s)
Q: How to clean a large carpet?
GreaseWhen the carpet is stained with a liquid, it should be dried immediately. Then wipe it off with a clean towel or paper towel. To remove grease, you can use lint in a non flammable dry cleaner. When you wipe it, wipe it from outside to inside. Don't shave so as not to scrape the fibers. Pat the stain until it's clean. Before using the detergent, test it in the inconspicuous part of the carpet and let it dry before it can be used again. If the oil spill is not too difficult to remove, you can smear on the stain with carbonated water, and then blow dryer, and finally use vacuum cleaners to clean the carpet. Can also be sprinkled with corn flour or talcum powder, placed for six hours, and then vacuum cleaner.
Q: How do you remove carpet glue from the floor?
Hand cream. First, the surface of the printed products tear off, and then put some hand cream on top, slowly rub with your thumb, rub for a while, you can rub the residual gum are rubbed down. Just slow down. Hand cream is a kind of grease, which is not compatible with gum. Remove glue is to use this characteristic.
Q: I want to pull up the carpet in my house. The carpet now is the cheapest they make...I believe. I bought the house 1 1/2 years ago and have been waiting until now to do it. What do I need to know before I open this can of worms
get a razor knife cut the carpet in 2ft widths and roll up and throw away
Q: I'm looking for instructions on how to make a rug with scrap squares of fabric tied into knots and what not. Thanks!
Hmmm. Not a seamstress, nor do I care to be, but I have one that I enjoy, and has lasted for 3 years, but it was machine made, and as a Rag Rug, was stitched, not knotted. Actually a pretty decent project though, for using scrap fabric, much like a braided oval/round rug. Perhaps you might find in a fabric retailer, a Mesh type, stiff material/substance, similar to that used in small yarn craft kits, but in a larger size? Just my two sense
