- Q: I have a white fake fur rug! I also have 4 dogs that are not potty trained yet. I have many pee stains on my rug. I need a way to clean it that works (duh), is easy, and is fast! Please help i need it done by the 29th of August! HELP!
- Take it to the laundrymat and wash it in the BIG JUMBO machine with some detergent and all color bleach added BEFORE you put in the rug. You should also add some more all color bleach as if it ere detergent into the dispensing drawer. Use the warmest water possible. Tumble dry it about 1 hour on low after then hang it outside to finish drying.
- Q: Saw a picture of the Mega Doily Rug... Awesome. Made with cotton rope and a size S crochet hook or your hands. Is it true that you can really take any doily pattern and just use this huge cotton rope to make a rug? Would you have to alter the pattern at all?Thanks for any help! Wanna make one for my grandma.
- It's true, and they used to make them with rages, so they were called rag rugs. I made a litle door mat sized one once using strips of rags. Just experiment, you can always pull the thing out and try again.

- Q: I have light carpets (builder special!) and a 2 yr. old and a 4 yr. old. I keep them clean (the carpets and the kids!), but hate to pay for the professional carpet cleaners all that often. I often use Woolite OXY Clean, but I just keep finding more spots. Seems a daily battle. Does anyone know a quot;home remedyquot; I can use to spot remove? I have tried Oxy Clean, and even tho my carpet it light it has bleached some places.
- If you don't find the stain right away, mix a diluted solution of vinegar, soap and water. Dampen a cloth with this solution and press firmly against the stain for several moments. Blot dry with a a rinse cloth. You can also mix equal parts salt and baking soda, add several drops of white vinegar and enough water to make a paste. Check carpet for color fastness, then apply the paste to the stain and let it set. When it's dry, brush it away and the stain should go with it. For a particulary nasty stain, scrub it when you first apply the paste.

- Cover it with absorbent paper, then use hair dryer, use carpet cleaner after the wax oil is absorbed clean, if the wax oil is too much, repeatly use oil absorbent paper.
- Q: Is professionally cleaning a FILTHY carpet enough or should it just be replaced?I am moving into a house with a FILTHY carpet. Truly disgusting, just nasty. The house stinks bad because of it. The landlord says he will get it professionally cleaned. I would rather have all the carpet taken out and replaced...or some other flooring put in. - The landlord doesn't have to replace it, unless it smells. You won't know anything until it gets cleaned and is dry
