Q:I vacuum every day with a kirby sentria. I read somewhere that vacuuming daily can ruin your carpet, but I haven't had a problem (yet). Supposedly it'll wear out the carpet sooner? I use the correct settings for my carpet. We have a 3 year old, a dog, and 3 cats, the thought of vacuuming even every other day kind of sickens me when I think about how many crumbs and how much hair can build up in the carpet lol.Is it okay to vacuum daily? Not gonna have to replace the carpet every 3 years if I do it that way?: Vacumm as often as you like. It is your home. When people don't track in debris or drop crumbs the carpet stays cleaner. So, if you want your home to look and feel clean; vacuum all you want. Some times you have people around who don't care what they drop as long as the have an unpaid maid to vacuum. I have found that you can use the brush attachment when you want to make certain carpets look like they have been cleaned (if you don't have obviously soiled areas). Just vacuum back and forth and it picks up debris and dirt. Look at the carpet to see how the carpet looks freshly cleaned.

Q:My wife and I have a 5' X 7' area rug which we want to dye brown. It's a deep pile wool rug and the fibers are dense. How does one go about this? We would have it done professionally but there are no skilled people where we live. Any help would be greatly appreciated.: you'll okorder . honestly though i'd get a small bottle and test a corner before investing in a whole rug, cause the chemicals to do dark colors like this can get seriously expensive since it can take two or three dips to do it. good luck!

Q:How do you get nail polish out of carpet? My basket of nail polish got knocked off of my dresser and a bottle of metallic burgundy polish broke and leaked all over my light blue carpet....Help!!!: I have another suggestion. Two products that are more concentrated that nail polish remover; -- Goof-Off (NOT Goo-Gone). Try local hardware stores or Ace; big-box stores don't carry this, I think. -- Bestine. Try Art's supplies stores. Both of these are very heavy-duty cleaners; you HAVE to have serious ventilation, like open windows and fans. But they are fabulous cleaners for tough spots. I blotted an ink-pen leak off of a raincoat with Goof-Off and it was like it had never been there after one blot. I also got some stuff that looked like melted silly putty out of carpet at rental property with Goof-Off. It took repeated pours/blots with a lot of paper towels, but it did dissolve the stuff. I found out about Goof-Off from a construction contractor. I think Bestine is raw chemical in nail polish remover. It is used to dissolve rubber cement and clean paste-up wax in graphics shops. I used to work with it, and it's a nasty but effective chemical. Just read/follow precautions on their labels, and be sure to test for color-fastness. If you do use one of these, be prepared to bag up the rags/paper towels etc. in several layers, and get them OUT. The fumes will permeate regular bags, and fill up your house and give you a major headache, aside from the risk from fumes igniting. I kid you not, be careful. They do the job but they are DUE respect.

Q:Okay I can't decide which carpet cleaner is better, the New Hoover Platnium Series, or the Rug Doctor (The Blue One) They both look nice. But Which Is BETTER. Name the Pros and cons of each Money is NOT A CON for me. and does the rug doctor leave the carpet vet I heard.: The rug doctor will leave allot of soap in your carpet, which will create mold. Personally I do not trust buying carpet cleaners scene as i own my own carpet cleaning company ha ha but I deff do not recommend the rug doctor to anyone, its not safe.
