- Q: I want to ask my mom if I can put carpet in my room, because right now its hardwood. We live where it gets cold, so it would be nice to walk on in the winter. It also more comfortable to walk on, and would look better. How much would it cost to carpet my room if its about 13 by 13 foot?
- How much does carpeting cost? I want to ask my mom if I can put carpet in my room, because right now its hardwood. We live where it gets cold, so it would be nice to walk on in the winter. It also more comfortable to walk on, and would look better. How much would it cost to carpet my room if its about 13 by 13 foot? What weave, texture, construction, padding needed, who will install? You can not just say ask how much for a rug. You must learn to communicate more specifically with your audience. Might be nice to know the country you live in because Yahoo is global and you could be in new zealand for all we know. Yes! Prices are a lot different from country to country. Also specify what kind of carpet? If you do some work on your own to figure out what exactly you want before you ask how much, you would already know how much. Based on the parameters you provided, you can expect answers to run from ridiculous to insightful. But you will not get what you need to convince your mom to spend money she works hard to earn on a rug instead of food or rent. Have you even considered an area rug? Do you require wall to wall? Use your question here as a homework assignment and teach yourself basic research skills. With your computer and an internet connection, there is absolutely nothing you can not find out for yourself by doing some basic research. Then, you will be answering questions rather than asking them. If you give a person a fish, they will eat today. If you teach that person to fish, they can feed their family. I wish I could answer your question. Instead, I offer you some advice that I hope you take to heart.
- Q: So, me and my family rent our house. But it has the worst carpet ever. So, i was wondering if its possible to get a huge rug that will cover my room, instead of re-carpeting? If so, where would i get a rug that size?
- I have found some large rugs at Goodwill. In my state prices vary a lot, but the cheapest price can be gotten with a little haggling at Goodwill and my cost of this used bedroom rug cost me just $20. If Goodwill is not available where you live then try thrift stores or the Salvation Army Thrift Store for sales and or auctions. You could save lots.
- Q: my daughter got play doh all over my carpet....new play doh...how do i get it off the carpet
- Kids love playing with Play Dough. The problem? It can be messy, and it always seems to end up on surfaces that are the hardest to clean...like the carpet. This simple 4 step process will help you remove ground in dough even if it seems that it's there to stay! Step 1 While it's still moist, remove as much of the play dough from the carpet as you can. Avoid stepping on it to prevent it from being ground in to the carpet fibers even more. Step 2 Is there dough that you were unable to get picked up because it's already too stuck to the carpet? Walk away! Leave the dough to dry for several hours (I find that over- night works best). You want the dough to be as dry as possible. Step 3 Using the edge of a spoon, firmly scrape the dough from the carpet. The spoon will not damage the carpet, and it will also loosen the dried dough that is stuck. Step 4 Vacuum the carpet thoroughly. Continue to scrape and vacuum until all of the dough is removed.

- Q: what is the best product to take out ground in dirt and pet messes my carpet is supposed to be green....its black in a majority of spots, and hard in other spots!i mean it doesnt have to be like 100 percent every stain taken outjust so it doesnt look so nasty, and i can actually have people over without them thinking im a slob, because im the complete opposite. my fiancee and and dont have the money right now to have all the carpet replacedand the previous owners (his family) obviously didnt care about the carpet, or cleaning for that matter.any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
- Another alternative: take a peek under the carpet. You might have hard wood flooring under it. If so, just rip the carpet up. You'll have a gorgeous floor and it will cost you nothing. Even if the floor needs sanding and re-staining, you'll have a beautiful floor for a very small investment. You can rent Sanding Machines from Lowe's and Home Depot. And Stains don't cost much. Good luck. -
- Q: I have a carpet with some pretty bad old stains and I was wondering, what would be the very best pretreater to use before I clean it with a rug doctor?
- Use okorder , to locate one near you. I'm also a pro.
- Q: I am painting my truck black but the carpet inside is like a burgandy color and falling apart. Can I just put like new black carpet down or what else could i put in the floor of my truck
- sure!. also you can use house carpet also. but before you put carpet down, unhook the battery, open both doors, clean the floor off and brush paint the floor with rust-olem paint, let it dry good, then put the carpet down. the paint will protect the floor board.
- Q: I have a Nepalese oriental rug. I assume its wool (thought it may have man made fibres in it).I've cleaned various spills with water over the years - with no probs. It really needs a clean.. can I clean it with cold water? Is this dangerous?I'd like to just take it out and wash it down with a hose... Thanks
- Check out this site, it seems as if they have a great step by step guide to in home shampooing your Oriental rug. I have used the advice on their stain removal guide quite a bit and they worked great. Best of luck!
- Q: looking to get carpet for 1 room
- Just a standard carpet will average around $3,50 a s/f installed. Of course you can do higher or lower, it all depends on the over all quality of the carpet. Most carpet comes in 12 and 15' wide rolls so you ll need extra to seam it together. So you can t go just by the 13x13 ( 169 s/f) of the room size. In 12 foot widths you ll need a pc 12x15 or 180 s/f or a pc 15x13 ( 195 s/f) to fit the room. The are some patterned carpet that come 13'6. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar. GL
