Q:How old is your child?My son is 3 and I still rock him in a rocking chair or recliner. I really think that over 5 years of age is too old to rock in a rocking chair.Every night I rock him in a rocking chair, tell him a story, sing him a song, and kiss him while patting his bottom to sleep. Q:I'm trying to find classy seat covers for my kitchen chair and when I look on-line, all I see are the ones that cover the whole chair. I don't want to have them reupholstered due to the cost. Any help please?: Fast-Cheap and most of all, Easy...First, turn the chair over and see if there are screws that attach the seat to the frame. If so, follow these simple steps.(if the seat will not detach from the frame, this will not work.) 1st. Go somewhere like Walmart, normally in the back corner they have a fabric section. Find something you like, but make sure it's also thick enough it can't be seen threw. Get whatever you feel will cover all the seats. 2nd. Lay the Farbic good side down and place the cushion seat side down on top. Fold fabric over leaving enough fabric to cover the bottom cushions past the area where the frame attaches and cut. 3rd. Apply a strong adheasive (Gorilla Glue= Avaible at Home Depot) 1 from the outside edge of the bottom of the seat then wrap fabric tight. 4th. before the glue cures, place the seat back on the frame and replace the screws but only tighten one side all the way, this allows you to pull the fabric tight then screw in the other side. It's alot easier than it seems and costs like $8.00 per chair.Good Luck

Q:i am painting the inside of my condo, and i had an idea, but i am not sure if it works or not. from our couch, directly across on the other wall is the tv, to the right of it is the stairwell to the 2nd floor, so you can see it from the couch. i was thinking of painting the wall that the TV is on (which is a small wall) an accent color, and then, having a chair rail go up the stairwell, with that same accent color from the chair rail to the floor. I was wondering if i need to get a thin chair rail to do this , so it doesnt look too wierd 6 - 8'' above the railing. does this even sound like an idea that could work? HELP!: Actually, what you are creating is a wainscotting and yes the idea will look lovely. Step back from the stair case, can you see through the railing? How large is the banister and railings? This will optically tell you the size of chair rail thickness you will need. If the banister is bulky, use a larger chair rail to balance it and so that visually it rises just above the height of the bannister to add bulk and so that you don't use a size that disappears against it. By using the same color up the stairs that you use on the TV wall, you are anchoring that end of the room which will give it more presence. Great project, sounds fun!

Q:so i found this amazing bean bag chair in the shape of lips, but I would like to find onw in light pink, so can i paint it? like using fabric paint maybe? I wonder if you can remove the cover and lightly bleach it...or fade it?

Q:I rented fifty chairs for my in home wedding because I invited fifty guests. I am concerned that some people will not come and this will make the room feel empty. Should I not set up all of the chairs until the thirty five or so already set up are filled or just set them all up to begin with?: you should have all the chairs ready, have them all out. It will look strange if you were to get more chairs when the guests arrive making it look like you were not expecting them. I am sure there will be enough people to come to make it look more filled up even if not everyone will show up. It wont look bad at all, not every chair in the chruch gets filled up, it doesnt look empty. so dont stress about that, just have them all set up, it will look better that way. Congradulations

Q:I started with one chair. I sanded it first, then wiped, and let it dry, and then i put stain on. And I see a few spots that seems like I didn't sand very good. So, the color is uneven. plus the chair has a plywood part on a back of a seat, it turns pretty ugly. What should I do? Let it dry, and sand it again, then stain it? Or let it dry, put primer and paint over it? CAN I pait it?: Depending on the wood, it will absorb uneven. Pine is the worst for uneven absorbtion. You need Minwax Wood Conditioner. Put that on, let it dry and restain.
