Q:I am looking into buying this chair because I think it is beautiful! I plan on reupholstering it in some colorful fabric. She says there are no markings except for a sticker that claims it was reupolstered in 1987 or 1977 hard to read. There are 2 wheels on the front 2 legs. Other than that I do not know much about it. Q:we have these leather chairs in my kitchen and my cat always jumps on the back of this one to get on top of our water cooler cause she likes it up there or whateveranyone know what i could do to like make her stop, cause i have a pillow case over it right now, but that defeats the purpose of having a nice leather chair: There are all sorts of aids available to help train a cat to NOT be someplace. Please look at the links below... one is a double-side sticky tape that you can tape to the chair. Cats hate the stickiness, and will avoid it. When the cat learns to stay off of it, you can remove the tape (it's clear, so it won't look too ugly while you are using it). Another device is a mat of small plastic spikes (they're not SHARP!!! so they won't harm her). There are scat sprays available, which I don't think are very effective. Do you have a cat tree of any sort? Cats WANT to be HIGH, and the back of the chair is a HIGH place. If you can place a cat tree in the area that is even HIGHER, she will naturally go to that instead. If she is SCRATCHING your leather chair, then you need to provide substitute scratching posts and things. If you place one or two scratching posts or other scratching surfaces, she will gravitate to scratching THOSE instead. I know it works! Me… kittyslave23… I know my place.

Q:Hi. I want to attempt to make a murphy chair/sofa , yet do not wish to pay a whole lot of money which I do not have. Any suggestions? I would love to cover the bottoms (the part which is on the outside when folded) with padding, so one could still sit on the floor without difficulty.: You could make the actual chair seat with scraps of wood and buy a hinge so it will fold up. You could also use an old chair seat.You might have something available at your home. Make sure the piece that is attached to the wall is properly secured to a stud in the wall. Go to Joann Fabric or any similar store and you can get some 2 foam (padding) to put over the seat. I would cover the foam with some fabric and slide it on the seat (like a pillowcase). Buy some fabric adhesive spray and adhere the back to the seat or.....you could use Velcro to keep it snug. You could hand stitch the fabric, if necessary. Be Creative.....You can do it!!!

Q:Bam Margera has some Adirondack chairs made out of skateboard decks. Does anyone know how to make one or know where there's directions in how to make them. Q:the seat smells like strong poop...mainly because I did poop a little in it but anyway, hwo can I clean the brown suede chair without my other co-workers seeing me...well I do have my own office: Just clean it normally--if you're other coworkers see you, then say you spilled coffee on it. Go to the websites below on how to clean it or just remove odors from it. PS-If your chair doesn't smell to the normal person--i.e. you only smell it when you bend down and put your face up to it to take a whiff--then I would just leave it. It's better to have a chair that smells like poop (but not one will actually smell it unless they put their face next to it) rather than a suede chair that you tried to clean and wound up funny looking because you ruined the leather. Suede is apparently really tricky to clean (I've never tried it) so you may want to take that into consideration.
