Q: I have a microfiber chair that is looking a little dingy, what is the best way to clean it? Is there a good product? Any advice??: I had a Microfiber chair. I also have a black lab. When she was a puppy, she would vomit, pee, and do almost every imaginable nasty thing to that chair that you can imagine. Here is how i cleaned it when needed... 1. I have a bissell carpet cleaner with hose attachments. I filled the resevoir with HOT water. I filled the cleaner tank with... lysol cleaner with fabreeze. I first sprayed the chair with the cleaner out of a spray bottle so that the cleaner could work its magic for 15 minutes before i turned on the bissell. After presoaking with the cleaner, i turned on the bissell and sprayed it with hot water. i waited for a few minutes, 5 at most, and then began to spray and suction repeatedly all over the chair. This worked awesome and did not discolor or bleach the fabric. It also left the fabric smelling very very nice, since it had febreeze in it. After i cleaned it, i sprayed the chair with 3M SCOTCH GUARD in order to prevent later stains. Now my puppy is fully grown and doesn't do nasty things to the furniture. Good Luck. -Luis Pernia

Q: I was wondering how to make a simple slip cover for a regular metal folding chair.: For the back of the chair, try a pillowcase on it and see how it fits. What tucks do you have to make? Then try it on the seat. What type cover did you want? A full cover so you don't see the legs? You did not say. I would cut up a sheet, in fact you could use sheets if you do not want to invest in upholstery type fabric. They are washable too. Try a piece on the seat, let it hang to the floor in front, and extend up over the back of the chair until it reaches the floor below. Then you could sew the two backs together till it comes to the seat, stop there. Then you need to sew a piece to each side down to the floor. Then sew up the corners. Hem the bottoms and put a bow or Velcro fastener to the back of the seat corner, or pin it and then sew it, but you have to leave a little room so you can slip it on and off.

Q: I want to get a chair that will be comfortable for reading. I want to place this upstairs in my bedroom so the chair can't be very big and heavy. I can't stand reading at my computer desk when I am reading for fun and I don't always want to read on my bed. What do you think I should do? I am kinda thinking about one of the glider rocker chairs but I am not sure.: Gliders tend to be fairley narrow, I would recommended a lazy-boy, one that reclines. If you are into reading, you are also into comfort. A lazy-boy can be carried up by only two people.

Q: Me my fiance are paying for our entire wedding ourselves so we are on a major budget. Our wedding reception is at a VTW hall, which mean those ugly brown folding chairs that i hate! Our wedding is in October is a fall/harvest theme. The colors are claret, burnt orange and sage green accents. I am looking for a way to spaze up these chairs.
