- I recently bought a new vacuum cleaner and really looked into it before I bought. I have a lot of pets, including a very large, hairy dog and a small budget, so I needed something REALLY good for a low price. I got the Eureka Boss 4D, model 4893. It cost me $139.99 and in my opinion is it better than ANY cleaner I've ever used, including Dysons. It's heavy though, I'd not recomend it if you have any mobility problems like arthritis or similar.
- Q: Besides the price, are their any major differences between the two vacuum cleaners?
- Only difference I see is the Animal comes with dry powder and spot spray cleaners. The technical specs are the exact same. I'd say save the $50 and get the Full Kit.

- Q: I have a one-year old and lots of crumbs on my floor that our vacuum won't pick up. We currently have a bag less Bissell and I hate it. We've replaced all the filters and cleaned it but it still hardly picks up a thing. It leaves little hair balls on our carpet and kicks dust back in the air. I have to open the windows every time I vacuum so we can breathe!We're looking to get a new vacuum and I am interested in any brand and reviews you can recommend. My parents have had an Electrolux for 10+ years and it works great. However, the price tag ($500) is a little much for me. I'd also rather not go bag less again. Any suggestions?
- Yep, buy a good one like your parents did. Look at it this way: you can buy a cheap one now, which won't work all that well, and will break down in a year or two, then buy another cheap one, and so on, or you can spend a little more and get one you could have for many years which will do what you need. Buying a cheap one is cheaper now but not over the next 10-20 years or more. Go to a store that sells and services vacuum cleaners and buy a used vacuum in a really good brand. They'll know which ones last and which don't--remember, they fix the ones that don't. I've got a Filter Queen I bought used in 1987 for $500, still works as well as the day I bought it. At the time, I was doing housecleaning and went through two $60 vacuums in one year.

- Q: if you brought a battery operated conventional vacuum cleaner into space, in theory would it work? would it be able to create the internal vacuum to make it work? ( I am thinking along the lines of positive and negative pressure)
- how could it make a pressure gradient if the pressure is zero everywhere? your vacuum cleaner would be reduced to just being a box with a rotating disc inside.
