- i was thinking the same thing. i have a eureka vacuum. it is basic maybe spent $60 from walmart. i have had it for a while now. 4+ years maybe. the trick is you have to show any vacuum TLC. clean the brush and change the bag regularly. don't let it fill up even half full before you change it. the problem with all vacuums that have bags is the bag is also the exhaust. the air comes out and once the dirt clogs up the tiny holes. then it doesn't work as well. ALL vacuums work great at first when they are clean and with a new bag. you just have to take the effort to keep them that way.

- Q: How efficient are vacuum cleaners in preventing the dust and other dirt that they suck from escaping through the air outlet. I'm using a Khind branded wet and dry vaccum cleaner model VC 3661, priced about USD 60, manufactured in 2004. The type that is shaped like a bucket and has its air outlet facing upwards and a removable, washable cotton bag inside. I notice that it has only two layers (slices) of dark -colored Sponge like material when I remove the air outlet cover. Is that sufficient to prevent dust, dirt and most importantly bacteria from coming out form the cleaner itself. It could be releasing the bacteria and spreading it all over the place.
- Time to get into the 21st century----if you or a loved one has allergies, you may want to look into a Dyson.....they are the only vacuums out there that truly clean the air and do not pollute it with what you suck out of the carpets.......especially if you are renting. They run between 300/500 dollars- yes, pricey, but they last a lifetime.......there's no bag and the $500 picks up dander and dust mites.........I know, I bought one because my daughter is severely allergic.......so, if you can't afford a dyson yet, go for a bagless model- one where the dirt is sucked into a bucket- which you empty-- that has air filters you replace, and clean it every time you use it.....there are some for around 100 and do a decent job.....but cannot get rid of dust mites, dander or fleas........

P2 - normal density of air and P1 is twice the normal density. We have P1/P2=[ .5 m1 v1^2]/t1 / [ .5 m2 v2^2]/t2 since t1=t 2 and v1=v2 P1/P2=m1/m2 P1/P2=V1p1/V2p2 since V1=V2 P1/P2=p1/p2=2 So the power will be doubled for doubling the density... ********** But wait! ********** If vacuum cleaner works by creating an air flow and it is air molecules that whip the dust particles out of their hiding places then we may drop the rpm of the motor by half and therefore the power will be the same. P1=P2

- Dyson's don't perform as well as many much lower priced vacuums according to Consumer Reports. They rate them just middle of the pack with much better vacuums for less money (Kenmore Progressive with Direct Drive, Hoover Windtunnel, Eureka Boss Smart, Riccar Supralite).
- Q: Is Kirby Vacuum Cleaners a scam?
- Yes because I had 3 days to cancel and the address to send cancellation was the wrong address. I never got a responds . So now I m paying a $2000.00 dollar loan. Wish I had got a Dyson .The Kirby vacuum is very heavy and using the attachments can be time consuming and difficult .
