- Q:I have carpet all throughout my house, white carpet! I had 4 upright vacuums in the last 2 years. My first vacuum cleaner was a dirt devil and it would pick up stuff, then throw them back. The second was the same one, I thought that the first one messed up. My third vacuum was a Bissell and it picks up really good, but it gets clogged and I had unclogged it alot of times so I just got sick of it and threw it away. Now I just bought a eureka vacuum and it worked really really good but now it's not picking anything up. Now I just don't know what vacuum to get, because I had some many. - A BIG one. It should be rated to deliver at least 2500 watts continuously. Such an inverter would be very costly, and run even a very large battery down very quickly. A generator rated for 2500 watts or more would be much easier, and probably cheaper, to feed.

- The best vacuum cleaners are Kirby vacuums... hands down! It'll pick up things from your carpet that you didn't even know existed. The drawbacks to it are that it is very heavy and it costs a pretty penny (about $2,000).

- My Dyson vacuum cleaner was absolutely the best vacuum cleaner I have ever owned! I had two cats, one of whom was a long-haired Maine Coon and I killed several vacuum cleaners trying to keep my house clean. The last one prior to the Dyson was a Kenmore that was in the shop every month due to clogging. It was always under warranty so it didn't cost me anything to get it fixed, but it kept breaking. One day, I was so fed up with the whole thing that I spent the money on a Dyson and never regretted it. When I moved overseas, I kept very few items . . . I kept the Dyson. It's in a storage unit, waiting to be used again. Sure, it's ugly, but it does the job like no other. Good luck on your search for a better one.

- I couldn't live without my Kirby. It is definitely the best as far as i am concerned. Ive had my Kirby for 18 years. Still runs like a top, but, I recently updated to a newer model.
- Q:It's not but two years old. Took it to a house with really old electrical outlets/wiring system, plugged it in and it ran. Turned it off, tried to turn it back on and it wouldn't turn on again. No electric box switches were tripped/turned off. Also tried it in outlets in all three rooms but it still didn't turn on. Fo vacuum cleaners have fuses the protect the motor? Any thoughts as to what's going on and/or what I can do (besides buy a new one)? Any advice appreciated.

- I've used swiffer and orange glow cleaners.. Orange glow can soemtimes have a bit too much oil and leave a little residue. Swiffer works well as a cleaner but can leave streaks if you pump too much fluid.. The most important thing about laminate is not to use too much water or liquid on the floor. Keep cleanser and water at a minimum, otherwise the flooring could warp. Also depends on the quality of laminate you have. Best advice is to see if the Brand you purchased makes a specific cleaner.. I know Bruce brand does.
