Q:What's are some good ones that won't break in a year?? Should I go with an industrial strength one (although those are really costly).: I have a bissell. Probably bought between $20 to $40 at Walmart. It's not huge but not skinny either. I've used it for a year, and it still works great!

I have around $300 to spend on a target gift card.: I have a DYSON I love it! I too do not think that anything will come better than that. A Dyson is similar to the Kirby which is a 1500.00 cleaner that does everything. All I have to do is clean and wash the filter every 6 months. They are easy to maintain. The one you are wondering about is the one i have and although it does not have all the attachments with it you can purchase them. I didn't need all the attachments b/c I have a carpet cleaner. It all depends what you are looking for and how much you will use it.

Q:Every dog I've ever owned (of at least four different breeds) reacted to vaccum cleaners oddly. They bolt in terror at the first sight of it, and sometimes bark hysterically.
