Q: anyone own a kenmore progressive vacuum cleaner!? I am in the market for a really great vacuum, at a resonable price, (unlike dyson's)! i have read good and bad reviews on the progressive! Q: I would like to know which vacuum cleaners are better - Hoover Vs Kenmore?: I have a Hoover. I had a Kenmore and Electrolux. I hate them all. I finally went to Sears and bought a Craftsman Shopvac (they have a small canister style) and I absolutely love it!

Q: I know that most cats are afraid of the vacuum cleaner, but when we vacuum our adult cat will hide for hours on end. We have dark carpet so we vacuum almost every other day. It took him 4 hours to come out from behind our table, and when I coaxed him to me, he just sat frozen next to me and stared at the vacuum that was across the room. He was literally shivering at the sight of it. When I went to put it away, he went back under the table. I cannot get him to come back out. I've tried leaving him in another room while I vacuum, but he knows how to open doors and hates being shut up in our room or the bathroom. Last time I tried, he opened the bathroom door and then bolted under the table. I'm not sure what to do at this point. I have to vacuum frequently, but I feel guilty when I do because he is so afraid. We have had him for about 2 weeks and are still trying to figure him out. Is this normal cat behavior, or are most cats simply bothered by vacuums?: It's skittish my brothers cats will run even if your leg twitches . I don't know if there a coat you can get him like they have a thunder jacket for dogs. Leave the vacuum out one day and let him sniff it. Since you haven't had him long he could still be getting use to everything.

Q: Does anyone know of a quiet vacuum? I would like to vacuum the house without my little man crying.: I HATE the sound of vacuum cleaners and have never found one that doesn't hit the pitch that drives me bonkers, but Dyson makes one that fairly quiet for several hundred dollars. Just keep in mind that it still whines so if you son has an issue with pitch or the whole combo of big, loud machine sucking up everything is part of the freak out, it might not help and it will set you back a small fortune. That said, my hubby does the vacuuming for me and despite our daughter freaking out at every loud noise, he's managed to be so silly while he's doing it that she tries to find bits it misses or in corners for daddy to suck up. Basically at first he'd hold her while he vacuumed and then he'd get out the hose attachment and have her hold out her hand to feel the air. Then he'd show her what it was doing and say stuff like Isn't it cool! how it just ate up all the dirt? She'll still get upset when something gets stuck in the hose and motor's noise changes, but it's not a trauma, she'll just cover her ears. p.s. avoid bathrooms with hand dryers, these are the same type of noise, but even louder because they echo so bad.
