- Q: I'm connecting my old laptop to my new one in hopes that I'll be able to transfer old data to my new hard drive. Can someone walk me through this? :)Some problems though:My old laptop is an Acer Travelmate 4010 and the lid is detached :/ I'm hoping that won't make a difference? - Regarding the data transfer question, I can offer three suggestions: 1) buy a thumb drive for about $10 and plug it into the laptop. Copy your data to it and then connect it to the new computer and copy the files from the thumbdrive to your new PC. 2) buy a cross-over data wire and use it to connect both computers together. You'll need some instructions for how to make this work, so it's may not be your best option. 3) get a friend to help you connect both computers to the same router, and then to help you connect both computers together to allow for file transfer. This option will depend on how much your friend can help with. Sorry I couldn't be a bit more specific, but I'm trying not to confuse you further. Hope this helps

- Any save game mod, some shitty profile mods and thats about it haha. Transfer cables have been really pushed out of online mods. The last game you could really have fun with online mods with a tc was like cod 4. Supposedly you can with Halo Reach but i am not sure.

- What you need to do (this is easy) is get an sd or micro SD card for the phone, insert that into the slot, and then connect the usb cable. Even though the cable is attached to the phone, you're really syncing to the card, and you don't need a driver for that. Youy may have to then go into the phone settings and look for something like USB mass storage (the phone might offer to do this when you connect). The SD card will show up on your windows explorer as a removable drive. You can then copy to it as you would to a directory on the HD or a flash drive (explore the card first, you may need to copy to specific folders). This sounds harder than it really is - bit you'll soon find this more practical than iTunes because you're not using a specific piece of software that (among other things) limits your ability to copy FROM the device to your computer. I've been doing this for years since I got a Verizon Voyager about 2 years ago (since replaced). Doing it this way, I can watch videos, look at pictures and listen to mp3 files on my phone. Best of all, when you replace your phone, you can just take the card out and put it in your new phone - no need to copy them again.

When u want to connect any cell phone to laptop/computer u just can not use any data or usb cable, u get connected only through the USB cable which comes along with cell phone ( or u need to buy it seperatly but every phone model has its own USB cable, so u just cant not connect with any other cell phone model USB cable. 2. And more importent is it has its won CD which u need to install it 1st n then only u can get connected.

- If you have been saving everything to the USB, then no. Just pop the USB into the new console and transfer everything manually. It won't take very long
