Q: i have nokia 3230 and want to transfer images and other data from mobile to pc and vice versa. i have installed the connection cord to my pc and its also decting itbut i dont understand how to actually transfer thingsplze help: If it's detecting it then go to my computers try to look the NOKIA icon and double -click it. The folder structure of your nokia set will pop-up along with the contacts, messages etc. If you are unable to see the folder structure then you may be rquired to install the software. if you didn't receive any software cd along with the mobile set then there is workaround for this ie. try to get software cd for any Nokia N-Series and install the software . It has got sybo. os and got the same set of drivers required for n3230 , i believe try this will help.

The usb cable option is a great way to go, but you'll need software to recognize your phone and handle the transfer. I highly recommend a program called DataPilot, that works with all major phone types including Motorola. DataPilot will let you copy ringtones, photos, videos, etc for free (well, aside from the cost of DataPilot, and there are coupon codes at the link below to help with that).

It only transfer information. What you need is a hard drive enclosure. It is a small box that you place the hard drive inside. It then has a USB cable that plugs into your laptop (or desktop). The USB cable supplies the power to the hard drive. Once in the enclosures, the hard drive will function as a external hard drive. You can plug it in, and it will show up as another drive (like an E: or F:) on your computer. You can then copy off anything you want. You also have the option, once you have copied your data, of formatting that hard drive and then continuing to use it as an external hard drive permanently. Enclosure start in the $30 range for a cheap aluminum one (good for one time data transfer, but not recommended for 24x7 eternal hard drive usage as they can overheat) to $75-100 for one with a cooling fan, to several hundred for one with fancy neon lights and other extras. Considering that a decent external hard drive will run you $100 or more, the enclosure is a cheaper way of not only recovering your files, but getting an external drive at the same time. Since it is a laptop drive, you will want a 2.5 inch enclosure, rather than a 3.5 inch designed for the larger desktop hard drives. And if the laptop is more than a year old, you will want an IDE connector (rather than s SATA). Good luck

Li-ion batteries life cycles are dependent on how old they are and how often they are used. There is no set number to how many times you can charge it before it goes dead. Most cell phones and other portable devices have charge shut off circuitry that prevents over charging. But if you don't like your cell to continuously charge, I would suggest removing the battery after you plug it in and see if you can still sync to it.
