- I'm guessing that the Vista transfer cable is nothing more than what's known generically as a Crossover or Null Modem cable. It has nothing to do with Vista, Windows 7 or any other operating system. In fact, it will work with ANY two computers that have Ethernet ports. Could probably work to transfer between a Windows computer and a Mac, even. Hope that helps.

- if you have inter net on the computer, why would you want to use it on your phone. Anyway it does not work that way, you cannot access your computers internet through your phone. you can use your phone to access the internet and connect it to your computer to use it as a modem, but that doesn't sound like what your trying to do. hope that helps

- a million. even as u opt to connect any cellular telephone to computer/computer u merely can not use any records or usb cable, u get linked only by the USB cable which comes alongside with cellular telephone ( or u favor to purchase it seperatly yet each telephone type has its personal USB cable, so u merely cant not connect with the different cellular telephone type USB cable. 2. - The computer won't recognize the device until you plug it into the cable. Normally, I would not install the driver like you did. I would go through the windows recognizing new hardware process when I plugged it in, and install the software drivers at that time when asked.

- you need a data transfer cable. unfortunately, a usb-usb cable won't do what you want it to do, as I've learned that from experience. you do not need additional software because it comes with it.
