- I got the CU500 from LG and I got the data cable off of OKorder with the phone software way cheaper then they wanted on LG's website check them out One thing I can't stand about the phone I have is the made sure you needed to get all the accessories from LG as it isn't standard stuff like a different USB cable, even a different Headphone jack as it it's like a half a centimeter smaller.

- This does sound like bovine excrement - mini USB is mini USB. however, from Personal experience, some mini USB cables work - some do not. best one to use with a picky device is a short, fat cable.

- What you need is a memory card. When you connect your phone to a computer, it's the info on the memory card that's accessed, not the info on the phone itself. After you insert the card into your phone, copy or move the pics onto the card. after that, you'll be able to connect your phone to the computer and just drag and drop the folder. It's *really* easy.

- The problem with the use a USB thumb drive method is, if your old 360 won't even turn on, or is very unstable, this probably won't work. You can get a transfer cable from Gamestop for about $15, then sell it back to them for a few bucks. Yes it's a ripoff but it beats paying $20 for a new cable. I would strongly recommend using the transfer cable.

- Q: At age 64 - I am neither good with computers or phones. Cingular/ATT sold me an LG CU500v phone and a SanDisk 2 gig memory card. I bought a USB cord to allow me to download games ring tones from my computer to the phone as well as feed camera photos to the computer and avoid the cell phone fees. - I just saw this same issue on a review of the product. The USB Connection Mode on your device is most likely still set to Data Service rather than Mass Storage. Unplug your phone from the usb cable. On the phone, go to your Menu button, choose Settings (# 9), then choose Connection (# 7). Choose USB Connection Mode (#2) and then choose Mass Storage (#1). After this, you should be able to plug it back into the usb cable and you should be able to drag/drop media onto your phone. Hope this helps

- It depends first who is your carrier? Verizon locks the phones so you must use their services to download tunes. ATT allows the cables be sure the cable is actually for that phone and then you need the software.
